What disturbed me "The Passion"

Post  Admin on Wed 08 Apr 2009, 11:11 pm

What disturbed me "The Passion"
Jesus asked would you watch with me one hour to his disciples.
In the garden Jesus prayed to the Father well knowing what was before Him, in his humanity can anyone even begin to imagine Him who was spotless without any sin for that 1 hour pleading with the Father if this is possible let this test PASS by me, paraphrased.
There is not a lot anyone can add to this just please to contemplate the Saviour who just a few days earlier had palm trees set before Him praising Him Messiah has come.
The Hallelujah's singing.
Just imagine your everyones friend then in a few hours even your best friend say I don't even know him.
We all hear or read of the cross and yes some will take hold of what happened saying it did to many in those days,
but I have been considering the anguish in the garden that time for a whole hour pleading Father if there is any other way , we do not read of God speaking back to him hmmm think on this!
then Jesus comes away with his own thoughts of not my will but yours be done.
He was still hurting that his friends failed him saying: couldn't you have watched with me for one hour?
Did he think their prayers would have made a difference? or did he realise that the saints prayers were needed to strengthen him for what was before him to endure?
May we this week take to heart what Jesus done for others.
