Hi Elaine,

As I prepare my heart for tonight's teaching I'm really convicted about the example of SERVICE Jesus demonstrates in the Gospel of Mark.

You feel His humanity, you experience His divinity, but you are mostly impressed with His tireless service to God and to others.

It's something we're missing today, I'm afraid.

We can often feel tired, put out, turned off, cynical, or jaded when it comes to "service."

And in this age, since people are mostly "lovers of their own selves," getting them to serve is difficult.

But we see Jesus keeps working, teaching, healing, saving, blessing, delivering.

Something to consider...

The Work God Blesses
by Chip Brogden
Let us learn to do nothing apart from this amazing grace. It is better to wait five hundred years for grace than to work for five minutes without it.

I spent many years creating and executing my own plans, asking the Lord to bless them. One day I understood that instead of always trying to get the Lord to bless what I wanted to do, it was much simpler to find out what the Lord wanted to bless, and simply do THAT. Instead of trying to get God to come down to my level and do what I wanted, it was far better to come onto the Lord’s ground and do what He wanted.

Great synergy and blessing is released when we simply cooperate with what God has already purposed to do. Heaven backs us up with tremendous power and authority. Instead of trying to make something happen, I simply flow in a current that already exists. The Lord will deny no request that is in agreement with what He Himself has originated...

Hey Elaine,

People ask where I get the things I talk about concerning the Harlot Church.

True, a lot of it comes from the Book of Revelation.

But most of my insight comes from Jesus Himself.

The parables reveal secrets hidden from the beginning of time.

And those parables clearly reveal the Harlot Church and its judgment.

Those parables are prophecies.

And those prophecies will all come true.

Hey Elaine,

A lot of people think the parables of Jesus are nice little stories.

In fact, the parables of Jesus are prophetic utterances that not only convey spiritual truth, but foretell future events.

Most of them contain WARNING as well as teaching.

Yes, some have already been fulfilled, while others are still to come.

Can you discern the difference?

Thursday night we conclude our teaching series on "All the Parables of Jesus" by examining the past and future fulfillment of these prophetic parables.

He Could Not Be Hidden
by Chip Brogden
I tell you, this idea of Christ increasing is the most powerful reality in this universe! Nothing can stand before it, nothing can resist it, nothing can stop it.

When we look at the earthly ministry of Jesus we see that He did not seek to increase Himself. He actually humbled Himself and tried to be inconspicuous. Even so, when He tried to hide Himself, He could not be hidden. I want you to think about that. When God was ready to reveal Him then He could not be hidden. He could not even hide Himself...

Hey Elaine,

This week we resume our online Bible study of all the parables of Jesus.

We're looking at a phenomenon I call "the Great Reversal" which is especially illustrated in the parables of the "first and last."

They show how differently God sees things compared to how man sees them.

The essence of wisdom is to begin seeing things from God's perspective, and these parables are an excellent starting point.

Need some wisdom?

Resurrected With Christ
by Chip Brogden
Scripture bears witness to a most amazing spiritual truth: that disciples of Jesus are the crucified, dead, buried, resurrected, ascended, and seated Branches of a crucified, dead, buried, resurrected, ascended, and seated Vine.

We do not bury someone unless we are absolutely sure that they are dead. Ordinarily that would be the end of the story: a life, a death, and a burial. But we have been joined to One Who has overcome death. This is the whole purpose of the Cross. If we remain in union with Him through crucifixion, death and burial, then we will certainly remain in union with Him through all that follows after...

Re: Meditation Chip Brogden

Hi Elaine,

Would you ever plant a seed and not care whether it grew?

Would you ever invest money in something and not care if you got your money back?

Most people would not.

Neither would God.

Fruitfulness is normal; unfruitfulness shows something is seriously wrong.

Another way of saying it is:

If you are faithful, you will be fruitful.

We discussed faithfulness last week.

Well, fruitfulness is the harvest, the end result, the ultimate outcome, of faithfulness.

Jesus used the theme of fruitfulness quite a bit in His parables.

It's such a great principle because it shows the Divine Partnership.

What is that?

It means that you plant the seed, water it, and take care of it.

But God makes it grow.

You can't make it grow yourself.

And God won't plant the seed for you.

It takes God and you working together!

So fruitfulness shows:

1) Your faithfulness and fervency; and

2) God's faithfulness and favor.

Isn't that awesome?

That's true wisdom right there!

Just one of the things we'll talk about in this week's online Bible class:

Re: Meditation Chip Brogden

Hey Elaine,

A lot of people think they have God all figured out!

They even have a name for it: "theology" - the study of God.

As if God is a laboratory experiment to be dissected and scrutinized under a microscope - or studied at a distance with a telescope.

How absurd!

Anyway, they thought they had Jesus all figured out, too.

But Jesus delighted to challenge and expose them.

It's easy to do, because the religious are easily, perpetually, offended by spiritual truth.

They think they have it all figured out - even to the point of telling Jesus what He can or cannot do.

And that hasn't changed.

A fun way to mess with their mind is to turn their wisdom upside down.

Jesus is a master at this, and his parables illustrate what I call "The Great Reversal."

Basically, it talks about how one day...

- the proud will be humbled and the humbled will be exalted;

- the rich will be made poor and the poor will be made rich;

- the religious will be excluded and the sinners will be included;

- the first will be last and the last will be first;

Etc.

You get the idea.

Funny thing is?

You would think after 2,000 years these lessons would have been learned by now.

But that haven't.

So we'll look at a few of these Great Reversals in this week's online Bible study:

Fear No Man
by Chip Brogden
To overcome the fear of man
we must be wholly GOD’S
And no one else’s.

Many Christians are in bondage to the fear of man. In discussing this very real and widespread problem, let us acknowledge from the beginning that we cannot be God’s spokesperson and be afraid of people. We will find it difficult, if not impossible to faithfully give all the counsel of God when there is a spirit within us that withdraws from people out of fear, timidity, or anxiety.

If there has ever been a time in your life when you bowed down and said, “Lord use me, speak through me, have Your Will through me,” then you can expect that the Lord will immediately begin to deal with you regarding the fear of man. It is a fundamental lesson we must learn in order to be fruitful and faithful with all God commits to us...

Hi Elaine,

We figure after we preach, pray and invite people to church, we've done all we can do and the rest is up to them.

But God is Love - and Love never fails.

The things that are impossible with men are possible with God.

That's why God put Jesus in charge of His "Search & Rescue" team.

Jesus is not sitting around, waiting to see if anyone will "receive" Him.

But He is actively pursuing the Lost - seeking them, saving them, and bringing them back to the Father's House.

That's part of what we will discuss in tonight's online Bible study:

Re: Meditation Chip Brogden

Post  Admin on Tue 20 Mar 2018, 11:00 pm

Hi Elaine,

Some people think they are doing God a huge favor by "accepting" Jesus.

Thankfully, Jesus isn't waiting around, hoping someone will "accept" Him.

Instead, "the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost" (Lk. 19:10).

He's not just SAVING the Lost, He is SEEKING the Lost!

Why?

The Lost can't seek Him!

Actually, "no one understands, no one seeks after God" (Rom. 3:23).

Maybe you were the one exception in all creation?

I think not.

HE looked for you, HE found you, and HE saved you - in spite of yourself.

You didn't even choose Him - HE chose you! (Jn. 15:16).

That's good news, because religion has messed this all up.

Religious folks put all the emphasis on what we "decide" and "accept" and "choose."

This elevates Man to be like God (deciding what he will or will not do) and limits God's saving power only to those smart enough to essentially SAVE THEMSELVES by "deciding" to follow Jesus.

What a load of bull.

See how subtle religion is?

That's why Jesus gave us a few "lost and found" parables to make the point.

We'll look at them this week:

Touching the Living Christ
by Chip Brogden
Are you trying to get a "fresh touch"
or are you abiding in Him continually?

I have been in many meetings where the worship leaders spent a great deal of time and energy trying to get people to “enter in” to worship or “enter in” to the presence of God. I used to lead worship this way and it can be very frustrating. Perhaps they enter in; perhaps they do not enter in. Either way, this struggle to “enter in” only proves one thing: neither the worship leaders nor the worshippers are abiding in Christ.

To abide in Him is to remain in Him. If we remain in Him we do not have to enter in to Him over and over again. That would be like trying to get into a room in which I am already sitting. Once we are in the room, and we are seated, we do not have to try and enter in...

How to Win the Battle for Your Mind
WATCH THE VIDEO
Hello Elaine!

I'm sending you this video I made that talks about the battle for your mind.
http://www.chipbrogden.com/battle/

However "spiritual" you think you are, everything God speaks and reveals has to pass through the filter of your mind.

That's why I believe YOUR MIND is the most important personal battle you face.

The truth is... if you can change your mind, you can change every area of your life.

In this video I talk about how to do it.

Check it out this weekend when you get a chance:

Sometimes you are facing a contrary wind because you are sailing in the wrong direction.

And sometimes your harvest doesn't turn out the way you hoped because you're planting seeds in the wrong field.

The Law of Sowing and Reaping is a powerful spiritual principle, but it is often misunderstood and misapplied.

In tonight's online Bible class we'll consider 7 reasons why you might not see the fruit you expect.

And yes, it is right to expect a harvest - don't let anyone under false humility tell you otherwise.

We'll discuss that (and more) tonight:

Hi Elaine,

Faithfulness is kind of a big deal in any love relationship.

If you are not faithful to your spouse, I predict your marriage will not last very long.

We all know what unfaithfulness looks like in a marriage.

But when it comes to faithfulness in our walk with God, we think it's no big deal - God will be there whenever we need Him.

It's almost like people think since God is so faithful, I don't have to be!

How long would a marriage last with that mindset?

Faithfulness is kind of a big deal to Jesus!

Who (or what) are you in love with right now?

You will be faithful to whoever (or whatever) you love the most.

You can love God, you can love the harlot church, or you can even love yourself.

See, "love does not seek its own interests" (1 Cor. 13:5); it seeks the interests of the thing they love most.

But since most religious folks in the last days will be "lovers of their own selves" (2 Tim. 3:2) they can't handle faithfulness to a higher purpose outside of their own self-interest.

Therefore, you find Paul complaining even in his day that "they all seek after their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus" (Phl. 2:21).

But here's some good news...

If you are faithful when everyone else is unfaithful then you faithfulness will be rewarded with something greater than salvation!

What could be greater than being saved?

Tune in tonight and find out!

The Law of Life
By Chip Brogden
In order to live victoriously we do not need ten or twenty principles or keys. All we need to do is cooperate with the Law of Life.

It is a sad fact that too many Christians find it easier to cooperate with the Law of Sin and Death than they do the Law of Life. They have no doubt as to the power of the negative law, but they have difficulty believing in the power of the positive law. Hopefully as we discuss these things it will be an encouragement to many who are struggling to overcome sin, self, and satan...

Hey Elaine,

The Greek word "aion" is often mistranslated as "world" or "eternal" when it should be translated "age."

The Bible doesn't talk about the end of the "world" so to speak.

But the Bible DOES talk about the end of the AGE!

In fact, there are several ages (aions) mentioned in the Bible - past, present, and future.

Ages (aions) have a beginning and an end; one age ends, another age begins.

That's what makes the parables of Jesus so exciting.

When He says, "So it will be at the end of the age" it's not just poetry - He is giving us prophetic insight into what is coming.

We'll cover one such example tonight:

Hi Elaine,

Can you believe March is here already?

I know you're busy and there are so many different directions we can be pulled in.

That's why it's important to put a stake in the ground and say, "No matter what, this year I'm going to dig more deeply into the Word of God."

Our weekly online Bible study is one way to stay grounded in what's important, and the parables are a great place to start.

The first seven parables are really the key to understanding all the parables of Jesus.

This week we're covering the seventh one:

THE PARABLE OF THE DRAGNET
Thursday, March 1, 2018
7:00 p.m. Eastern Time (New York)

Go here to register for this free online class:
--> http://chipbrogden.com/bible

We'll also talk about the "code" Jesus uses to link many different teachings together so you can interpret them correctly and apply them to your life.

It's also interesting to consider how the parables are being fulfilled in prophetic history - past, present and future.

Lots of dimensions to consider.

Exciting stuff!

Hope you can join us.

Hey Elaine,

Things happen!

We had some technical difficulties with last night's webinar, so I wanted to send you this replay.

Of course, you expect to have problems when you're talking about something so important, right?

Anyway, you can choose the video or the audio link - no registration needed, just click below...

Hey Elaine,

I always look for the deeper meaning of Scripture.

That's why I'm so excited about tonight's Bible study:

THE PARABLES OF THE MUSTARD SEED,
LEAVEN, TREASURE AND PEARL
Thursday, February 22, 2018
7:00 p.m. Eastern Time (New York)

Go here to register for this free online class:
--> http://chipbrogden.com/bible

We're going to discuss things that don't get talked about in Sunday School and don't get preached about in church.

Yet, Jesus talked about it, so that makes it important.

At the risk of sounding dramatic, I think you will be shocked and amazed.

Hope you can join us!

Hey Elaine,

When I started this teaching series on the parables I mentioned the possibility that the seven parables in Matthew 13 coincide with seven distinct periods of "church" history (both the religious system and the Ekklesia).

Meaning, the parables are truly "prophetic" in the sense that Jesus is telling us what to expect in advance.

So far we've covered the first two parables.

This week we'll cover FOUR in a single message.

They are simple stories but they carry big ideas.

And we'll also test this theory of the parables predicting the future of the Ekklesia.

I think it will be enlightening!

I hope you can join us for...

Head of All Principality and Power
by Chip Brogden
Some will ask, if Jesus is indeed
head of all principality and power,
how is it that the devil and his demons
are still able to do so much?

Jesus is Lord of All, but we do not yet see all things submitted to Him. Jesus is Savior of All, but we do not yet see all people believing in him. Similarly, Jesus is Head of All Principality and Power, and yet “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12).

What is the explanation? The short answer is...
