BREAKING: EMP Attack Threatened by Foreign Government

As if their frequent missile tests weren’t enough to cause concern, one of the U.S.’s most active enemies has threatened Americans’ very way of life.

This week, North Korea threatened to unleash an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack on the U.S. This is the first time ever that the communist regime has specifically threatened this sort of attack, which would effectively fry the U.S.’s electricity grid and send the country into panic.

The H-Bomb and EMPs
Pyongyang’s EMP threat comes directly after the “Hermit Kingdom” tested what some have called a hydrogen bomb.

Kim Jong Un issued a statement directly after this weapons test which brought up the supposed capabilities of the North’s newest weapon:

[The hydrogen bomb] is a multi-functional thermonuclear nuke with great destructive power which can be detonated even at high altitudes for super-powerful EMP attack according to strategic goals.
According to an exclusive report from Breitbart, an EMP attack can be caused by a nuclear EMP (NEMP), which would cause significant damage to both the U.S. and Canada.

Breitbart explains:

An NEMP is an abrupt pulse of electromagnetic radiation that occurs as a result of a nuclear explosion. An NNEMP is virtually the same except it does not include the nuclear component. The currents caused by these charges the atmosphere with electromagnetic waves that travel down onto the earth’s surface at super speeds hitting everything within their line of sight, sending high-voltage energy through the electricity grid and frying them, causing massive disarray.
Kim also bragged that all the components of the bomb were “homemade,” thus driving home the fact that North Korea is capable of creating a WMD all on its own.

They’d Rather Eat Grass
Last week, while attending a meeting in China, Russian President Vladimir Putin told the international press that North Koreans would rather “eat grass” then give up their nuclear capabilities.

Putin understands that to North Korea, a nuclear arsenal is an insurance plan that can guarantee the continuance of the Kim regime without American-engineered regime change. While much of North Korea’s recent jingoism could represent a regime in peril (and a Chinese state that refuses to reign in its strongest ally), the U.S. should take North Korea’s threats very seriously.

An EMP attack, with the power to wipe out electricity in the entire contiguous U.S., could cause more devastation than 9/11. In conjunction, with continued hacker penetrations into America’s electrical grid, the North’s threat of an EMP is emblematic of how our enemies view all parts of our country as fair targets.
