Easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away

Luke 16:16, 17 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time
the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. And it
is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

My coming out of the Catholic Church happened when I realized the value
and power of the Word of God. Each and every word of the Bible [in
principle] had its place in the Truth and none can be changed or
distorted as per the fancies of man and got away with. It is more
secured than the most secure currency in the world. It blows the mind
when one discovers the complexity in the simplicity of the Word. When a
lay man reads it he draws from it and when a researcher studies it, he
does not stop drawing from it for years and years.

Today's message talks of the importance of each and every prophecy in
the Bible and how it has to come to pass from the time it has been
revealed. Today's message also says it is easier for the Heavens and our
creation to pass away / fail but for a single prophecy to fail.

We see foolish man tries to be greater than God by editing and
subtracting from the Word of God. They will take one scripture while
ignore other scriptures related to it and come up with a distorted
understanding.

One should realize no scripture can be ignored and each and every
scripture has to be fulfilled for an understanding to be founded strong.
The Bible gives a very simple way of understanding the principles of the
Word of God by understanding the pomegranate fruit. The fruit has 4 to 6
sections divided by thin membrane and each seed (aril) has its own shape
and place in the fruit and all together look like a 3D jigsaw puzzle.
One cannot remove an aril from one place and put it perfectly into
another place, or turn and fit it in its own place; even if it looks
like it fits, one will find it out of place on closer observation.

The Bible we have is a collection of 66 books and a library in itself
(the book of Esther was not part of the earlier OT but was added later
by the Jews, kind of a Jewish Apocrypha - incidentally the book of
Isaiah has 66 chapters with the last two 65/66 being a repetition). The
Bible contains core or prophetic books, chronicles (historical books /
books that testify the prophecies) and books that explain the Word or
make us to understand the Word. The whole Bible is primarily divided as
the books of Moses, Psalms, books of the Prophets and the New Testament
(the NT books can be further divided into 3 categories). Because of its
dynamic structure and design every understanding has to have two or more
scriptures to back it, while having none contradicting it. So even if we
have 2 or 3 scriptures supporting an understanding and just one
contradicting it then we need to forsake that understanding.

In the book of Moses the Word of God is called Book of Covenant / Law,
Proverbs call it instruction for life and in Acts we find the Angels
state the Word of God as words for Life. God provides complete life so
every scripture has its importance. The Heavens and our creations are
upheld by the Word of God so they may fail but the Word will not.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are full of wisdom and your wisdom is boundless. In your wisdom
You have the Word to be light that shines in man as You gave your Son to
be light among man. Lord we pray we understand the importance of the
Word and how in Jesus the Word became flesh, also how the Word is Truth
and how the truth helps us from corrupted beings to be incorruptible
beings...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Exodus 28: 33 And upon the skirts of it thou shalt make pomegranates of
blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the skirts thereof; and
bells of gold between them round about:

Exodus 24:7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the
audience of the people: and they said, All that Jehovah hath spoken will
we do, and be obedient.

Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; And the law is light; And
reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

Acts 5:20 Go ye, and stand and speak in the temple to the people all
the words of this Life.

Matthew 18:16 But if he hear thee not, take with thee one or two more,
that at the mouth of two witnesses or three every word may be established.

Revelation 22:18-19
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy
of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto
him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this
prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out
of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Importance of Being Connected

Ezekiel 37:17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they
shall become one in thine hand.

Although to be a Christian is a personal choice yet to live a life of a
Christian one cannot do it as an individual.

We say God is love, but can God be love if He was alone? To love one
need to give unto someone else. Similarly most of the Fruits of the Holy
Spirit, a very important aspect of being Christian, even though are
individually developed yet they are dependent / rooted on connecting
unto others. The same is the case of Callings, can an Evangelist or
Teacher or Prophet or any other qualify as one if he or she does not
evangelize, teach or prophesy to another?

Let us understand one cannot lock oneself in a room and become a
Christian. One needs to reach out unto others. We need to save others
then only we are said to be doing the Will of the Father and thus get
qualified to enter the Kingdom of God.

In today's message the word join is in Hebrew tense Piel which means
intentional, so our joining in not necessary physical, we do not
necessarily need to socialize; what is important is spiritually are we
connected, we need to be of one heart, one mind and one belief.

Let us put our individual desires aside and work for the desires of our
Heavenly Family. When we enter Heaven all that we are in this world we
leave behind including all our material things and worldly name, also
our worldly relationships. In Heaven we will be just one family having
no mother, father, son, daughter, sister, uncle, aunt, granny,
grandfather etc. we will be just brethren of each other and will have
God as our Father.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are One God yet we know You are Father, You are Son and His
Spirit. Lord we pray we too be one on earth like You are one so that we
prepare for the day when we will be one not only with each other but one
with You in Heaven. Lord teach us to reach out to one another and not to
live a selfish lives...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 17:5-11

Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty
and the Lamb [Arinion - man] are the temple of it.

John 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and
the scripture cannot be broken;

Blessed, Strong in Faith and Holy

Luke 1:45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a
performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

Whenever a Catholic is told anything about Mary they get very
sentimental. They are programmed to believe that Believers / Protestants
hate Mary and the reason is they glorify Mary beyond the scriptures
while Believers follow the scriptures.

Let us take 3 attributes given to Mary one she is called 'Blessed', she
is considered an example of strong faith and she is considered holy /
without sin.

Like I stated before to study words connected to the Kingdom of God even
in NT we need go its Hebrew words since the Jews spoke Hebrew amongst
themselves, but to study the grammar we stick to the Greek language.

The Hebrew word for bless is 'barak' and people think when they bless
someone they add good things to that person, that is not the case. We
need to understand God has already provided everything we need
throughout our lifetime even before we are born in our mother's womb.
The word barak / bless is also translated 4 times as curse like in the
book of Job 1:11, 2:9. Bless does not mean to add but means to quicken.
Like faith opens the doors for us to receive that which is already given
(i.e. healing) similarly blessing someone quickens or delays the
receiving. Bless in negative is translated as curse since it
concentrates on quickening the negative things like testing in negative
is temptation (in NT Greek testing and temptation come from the same
word also the other Hebrew word for curse qalal comes from the root word
to be swift). We see in OT when they blessed a person they spoke the
blessing, specifying what they were quickening. Also in NT it says bless
your enemy not curse, specifying our intentions need to be good while
leaving both in God's hands.

Mary is called blessed for she was the chosen amongst all women to be
the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. God used her womb to bring forth
our savior. That does not means she was holier than others. She was a
devote Jew and average Jew, nor bad nor extraordinary good.

Coming to her faith; she was not a very strong person of faith nor very
weak. She needed to be encouraged that is why when the Angel Gabriel
spoke to her he shared the testimony of her cousin Elizabeth first. It
is only after that Mary accepted to be the mother of the Savior of the
world. If she was strong in faith she would not have required a
testimony. Also at times we see she was shaken in her faith like Mark
3:31 when people stated Jesus had an evil spirit v30.

People think since Jesus was without sin thus Mary had to be without sin
to give birth to Jesus. This is because they think sin as a disease of
the flesh. Sin is corruption of the spirit; it is not contagious to be
transferred by physical touch or by body fluids like AIDS. So Jesus
being without blemish had nothing to do with Mary being a sinner (she
need a savior herself).

It is also a misconception that the ovary of Mary was fertilized by the
power of the Holy Spirit for Jesus to be born, that would become
equivalent to sex. Scripture says from the womb of a virgin the Savior
would come forth. It also says the child is born, the son is given; it
does not say son is born. It is because of this reason that Jesus
addressed Mary as woman and also as mother. In today's medical
terminology it would be called a surrogate birth. By this the curse /
sin nature of Adam was not transferred too Jesus since it is passed from
father to child via the mother. So indeed Mary was the mother of Jesus
and she was not free from sin but yet Jesus was born without sin nature,
so He was not another Adam but was second Adam/ Man (OT uses the word
Iysh / Ishi not Adam for Him even though both mean man). All mankind had
sinned and become corrupt (in spirit) yet Jesus born of man and was yet
without blemish.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are a Holy God. You made man lower than the Angels for a
purpose that is to be a light in the darkness. When man sinned You
allowed it for You desired man overcome sin and be an example for all
the beings of Heaven. You make man as the Angels from a mere being, like
a worm / caterpillar becomes a butterfly. Lord we pray we understand
this transformation in spirit...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Job 1:11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and
he will curse thee to thy face.

Job 2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine
integrity? curse [barak] God, and die.

Mark 3:30-31
30 because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
31 And there come his mother and his brethren; and, standing without,
they sent unto him, calling him.

Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:
for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the
fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them
that hate me;

John 2:4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman [Mary], what have I to do with
thee? mine hour is not yet come.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring
forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being
interpreted is, God with us.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a
virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the
government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace.

Hosea 2:16 And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt
call me Ishi [man]; and shalt call me no more Baali [unknown God].

John the Witness

John 1:19 And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent unto him
from Jerusalem priests and Levites to ask him, Who art thou?

Just 2 days back at an exhibition, as part of a ministry, I was
distributing Bibles (NT) at a stall. As I was giving the NT there was an
elderly couple whom I was talking to and they turned out to be seasoned
Jehovah's Witnesses. When I told them that Yahweh / Jehovah was Christ
they did not like it. I even explained to them the word Yahweh is YHWH
and as per Hebrew ideogram means 'Behold the Hand Behold the Nail' which
points to Christ before He became man. These people called themselves
Jehovah's Witnesses thinking they are witnessing God the Father and not
Jesus. They consider Jesus as a special Son of God / Archangel but not
God. Like a Muslim they fail to digest the fact God humbled and became
human to die. They ask questions like Muslims, 'Can God die?'. They are
more Muslims than Christians.

In today's message we see John the Baptist (Jesus' second cousin) was
asked if he was Christ and he said 'no' but said he came to witness the
arrival of Christ / Lord. He was also asked if he was Elijah and to that
too he said he is not. But when Jesus was asked if John was indeed
Elijah, Jesus did not deny and accepted that he was indeed Elijah
(Matthew 17:10-13/ Matthew 11:14). John himself was not aware he was
Elijah. He lived a life of tough penance and repentance in the desert
even though he in his life time as John had not done any grave misdeed.
In the NT we see the only Prophet of the OT Jesus rebuked was Elijah
even though he is considered one of the greatest Prophets (Luke
9:54-56). We need to understand the more is given unto the more is
expected of us by God.

The term incarnation can be applied to John for he was Elijah come as
another being. People try to apply the term incarnation to Jesus Christ
which does not fit correctly. The term incarnation has two meanings, one
is a deity that takes a form of a human in a body of flesh and the
second is a human or earthly being takes form of another earthly being.

Yes the Lord Jesus Christ is God who came as man but He had to do a
process in between to come as man and that is as given in Philippians,
that He humbled Himself. 'Humbled Himself' meant He gave up His glory as
God before He became His creation, so even though in spirit Lord Jesus
Christ is God yet He does not carry His God powers but did carry the God
nature. So as man He is 100% man and being one of us is our cornerstone
and our sacrificial offering for our sins. It is only when we understand
His humbling that we understand how He became a sacrifice for the
foundation of creation even though He died on the crucifix just about
2000 years back.

In the OT we have great Men of God who did amazing things to witness the
Lord, but they still did not know God as you and I are privileged to be
able to know. Lord Jesus Christ as man on earth did greater things than
them yet He said we would do greater things than Him. The Men of God in
the OT received the Holy Spirit as per their mission and many a times
they manifested the Holy Spirit only for a period of time. We on the
other hand by default have the promise of the Holy Spirit by our baptism
in Christ and by our baptism in the Holy Spirit we continually can
manifest His power in us.

Let us realize we can witness the Lord more than any OT Man of God or
even the disciples of the NT. The privileges we have they did not. We
need to also realize those coming into this world after us will have
more privileges than us, so let us build them not as good as us but to
be better than us.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are God and are a Holy God. When man sinned he and his wife
were removed access from Heaven. You Lord humbled yourself and became
man so that You could make a way for our return to heaven since there
was no way. You also became an example by overcoming this world as a
mere man. You gave us your Spirit to help us to also overcome one day.
Lord we pray we understand the importance to help each other and be one
body so that one day we overcome like You did and we hear a voice 'IT IS
SUFFICENT, COME UP'...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 1:19-23
19 And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent unto him from
Jerusalem priests and Levites to ask him, Who art thou?
20 And he confessed, and denied not; and he confessed, I am not the Christ.
21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elijah? And he saith, I am
not. Art thou the prophet? And he answered, No.
22 They said therefore unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an
answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make
straight the way of the Lord, as said Isaiah the prophet.

Luke 1:17 And he shall go before his face in the spirit and power of
Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the
disobedient to walk in the wisdom of the just; to make ready for the
Lord a people prepared for him.

Matthew 17:10-13
10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that
Elijah must first come?
11 And he answered and said, Elijah indeed cometh, and shall restore
all things:
12 but I say into you, that Elijah is come already, and they knew him
not, but did unto him whatsoever they would. Even so shall the Son of
man also suffer of them.
13 Then understood the disciples that he spake unto them of John the
Baptist.

Matthew 11:14 And if ye are willing to receive it, this is Elijah, that
is to come.

Luke 9:54-56
54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord,
wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume
them, even as Elias [Elijah] did?
55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner
of spirit ye are of.
56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save
them. And they went to another village.

Philippians 2:6-8
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal
with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became
obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with
the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Revelation 11:4-13

God never forgets

Acts 10:4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is
it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up
for a memorial before God.

In today's message we read about Cornelius who was captain of Italian
band of the Roman Army. Band does not mean a musical band. The Roman
Army was divided into legions and each legion would have about 5 bands,
each band [cohort] would consist of about a thousand people having a
chief captain called tribune or marshal as its head and each band was
further divided into groups of hundred which had a captain [centurion]
over them. Cornelius was captain of a hundred soldiers. The band
Cornelius was part of consisted of people mainly from Italy that is why
it was called the Italian band. So most probably Cornelius was himself
an Italian.

One may think Cornelius being an Italian and not a Jew was worshipping
other gods but was devout so God answered him. One should understand
when one prayers to idols or false gods that prayers are like water on a
ducks back, they do not get answered nor go unto the Lord. The Lord may
answer due to the immense suffering of that person but not his or her
prayers. The Lord also at time answers or does miracles between them to
test if His people follow His Word or follow signs and wonders.

In short people who do not know God and pray to unknown god/s require to
do so over long periods with cries and suffering for God to possibly
answer them out of pity. But those who know God well get their prayers
answered instantly. Growing in faith is to know God more.

Cornelius was among the few who were not Jews yet worshiped the Jewish
God. Book of Acts also records an Ethiopian Eunuch, while the Gospels
record of another Roman Centurion that were of this category.

God does not have any religion. Christianity is not a religion but are
people who have chosen Jesus Christ as their path to be saved from
suffering their sins and to go to Heaven so as to receive eternal life.
Christians also have the advantage of getting their prayer answered
quickly for Jesus intercedes to their prayer. Those who are not
Christians and yet worship God may take time to get their prayer
answered like in today's message, the Lord says He answers because He
remembers all their requests and sees their good doings, He delays but
does answer.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty, Omnipresent God. Not only prayers but even the
thoughts of man are not hidden from You. You acknowledge them that
acknowledge You but You being a merciful God at times reach out even to
those who are far from You. We pray Lord we be not like the Centurion
Cornelius who needed to struggle to reach You by his devoutness and good
works but be like the Centurion of the Gospel who received by
demonstrated of faith...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 10:1-4
1 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of
the band called the Italian band,
2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave
much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel
of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord?
And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a
memorial before God.

Acts 8:27-28
27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of
great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the
charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

Matthew 8:5-10
5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a
centurion, beseeching him,
6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy,
grievously tormented.
7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou
shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant
shall be healed.
9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say
to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and
to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed,
Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

Completing our job

Matthew 26:1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these
sayings, he said unto his disciples,

Jesus as a person was multidimensional He was Son of Man, Christ and
also God the Son (Lord), these are a few aspects that are widely known
of Him. As man He was without corruption /sin, had the perfect image of
the Father in Him so was called Son of God. People say He was 50% man
and 50% God because they know only 2 aspects of Him - man and God. They
do not understand the term Christ and are not aware of His other
aspects. If they know they would then have to divide that further.

He is 100% God and as man He is 100% man. He said He is the 'I AM' who
spoke to Moses and Abraham before He became Son of Man. He also says the
Father chose Him to sit on the Judgment Seat to judge man because He is
the Son of Man, if He is not 100% man He would not have been qualified
to sit on the Judgment Seat to Judge all Mankind (all those who believed
in Him from Noah to the end) when He comes again.

As man He did not use His God powers since He is our cornerstone (our
example). All that He did was according to the time He dwelled in and He
did it through the power of the Holy Spirit whom we too now receive;
that is why He said we would greater things for the same Spirit we too
receive and the times we dwell in would call for greater manifestation
of God's glory.

People think He defeats Satan and kills Satan; they are wrong, Jesus
Christ leads us to destroy the plans of Satan against us and gets Satan
to receive the punishment set for him. It is we who crush the head of
Stan with the help of the Son of Man Jesus Christ.

Just of late I realized in scriptures as humans we can be killed or die
natural death any time but as spirit beings or even the Angels [both
holy and the unholy] do not die any time and cannot be killed, all will
live their spirit life; only those who have access to Heaven (Upper
Heavens where the Tree of Life is) have the option of eternal life. The
Tree of Life is not a magical tree and even a natural tree. The term
helps us understand that like natural tree which takes the nourishment
from the ground and by the light of the Sun produces leaves and fruits
so does Tree of Life from the 12 gems (symbolic) of which Heaven is made
of and by the plans of God (light of God) gives new life (recharge of
life as and when needed). So if we do not go to Heaven then we need to
suffer the corruption within us till the end of our spirit lives (which
by the way is equivalent to thousands of earthly years). If we
understand this then the true understanding of Resurrection [which means
'raised'] comes alive in us; even though we do not die spiritually yet
we defeat death.

In today's scripture Lord Jesus Christ as Son of Man finished giving the
teachings which He was commissioned to give and then He set for His
sacrifice and other things.

Today the Lord is telling us like Jesus we too are multidimensional
beings, we are not God the Son but we are set to be little Christs
(Christians), Sons of God and much more. So are we aware of our mission
and how much of our mission have we yet achieved? Can it be written
sometime in the future that we finished that we were sent to do?

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You alone are God and there is no other God than You, You are One.
We pray Lord we learn more of You and understand You more. You Lord sent
your Son who humbled Himself became man, made way for us to again become
Sons of God and have access to Heaven and the Tree of Life so that we
can live eternally. We pray like Jesus we too may see a day when it can
be said we have finished the tasks set for us in the Kingdom of God...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

All will never understand

Acts 28:25 And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed,
after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias
the prophet unto our fathers,

We have seen time and again people are accused of becoming a stumbling
block when they say something that shakes another person spiritually.
The word 'stumbling block' is more like a curse word. What is
interesting is that they do not realize Jesus Christ who is referred to
as the chief corner stone is also called the greatest stumbling block /
rock of offence to mankind.

In today's message notes an event where people called Paul to enlighten
them about scriptures and we see some of them accepted it and others did
not so the writer Luke quotes Isaiah 6:9-10. In a similar situation in
the Gospels Mark quotes Isaiah 29:13.

Many a time people ask me how is it that I get so many revelations from
God and I tell them because I truly seek God with all my heart. When I
tell them this many feel offended thinking that I am trying show I am a
holier person than them. They do not realize in the Bible David had more
spiritual problems than his son Solomon, David did more mistakes than
Solomon yet it the Bible calls David as a man according to the heart of
God and not Solomon.

We need to understand one sin or many sins we are yet sinners. What is
important is are we working towards overcoming our sinful nature or are
we comfortable with it. What is important is have we given up on God or
not. We see even through the worst situations David stuck on to the Lord
and on the other hand Solomon even in simple situation gave up on the
Lord by worshiping other gods.

You may be a person struggling in some areas in your life (like me) yet
if you are passionate about Him, not restricting Him only to certain
areas of your life then the favor of the Lord will always be upon you,
He will never forsake you and people will see His Hand over you.

If we are preaching the 'Word of God' and everyone is pleased with it
then there is a problem. We need to understand unless everyone is
perfect the Word will never please all. It is a Living Word that does
activity like demolishing illegal understandings, it separates the
carnal nature from the spirit, destroys darkness... these things do not
please people but shake people and their lives.

Understand as a preacher if everyone loves your preaching than you need
to go back to the Bible and check if you are indeed preaching it.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Light and your Word Lord is Light and Light destroys
darkness. Your Word Lord is living and works in the hearts of man. Man's
heart is not right thus your Word shakes up, corrects man's heart and
does not please it. We pray Lord that the Church stops pleasing and
entertaining people in your name, leading them to destruction. We pray
people preach fearlessly as led by your Spirit, not looking at man for
their provision but only unto You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Mark 7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of
you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their
lips, but their heart is far from me.

Acts 28:23-27

1 Peter 2:6-8
6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in
Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him
shall not be confounded.
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which
be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is
made the head of the corner,
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which
stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

Isaiah 6:9-10
9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but
understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and
shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their
ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

Isaiah 29:13-15
13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with
their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their
heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this
people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their
wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall
be hid.
15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD,
and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who
knoweth us?

Mark 7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of
you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their
lips, but their heart is far from me.

The Evil Doers in Office

Micah 2:4,5 In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and
lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he
hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me!
turning away he hath divided our fields. Therefore thou shalt have none
that shall cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the LORD.

Today's message is so apt for our time. It was given when the Assyrians
persecuted / did evil against the Jews. In the Bible Assyria which means
'step' and symbolizes people who pursue progress / worldly prosperity.
Judah (Jew) meaning 'praise' and symbolizes people who worshiped the Lord.

Today's message is a prophecy and talks of worldly people who are in
power, who device evil in the shadow and then bring them upon the people
slowly. In India we are facing this for people who are hold government
positions no doubt are doing a good job with concerned to prosperity but
they hold a deep intentions to destroy other beliefs, and Christianity
is one of them.

Today's message is a prophecy against them that the Lord will divide
them. Their greatest strength is their unity and this strength will be
broken.

They will also land up in cases which will be difficult to come out of.
They pride will turn to shame. The time may become a time of turmoil for
these things will happen to them.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Father unto your people. Your people Lord at times
experience trouble but You Lord do not remove your eyes off them. You
Lord do not let problems more than that which your people can bear. Lord
we know at the right moment You move against the enemy of your people
for You make an exhibition the calamities on evil doers. Lord we thank
You for this message and give glory to You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Micah 2:1-4
1 Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when
the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of
their hand.
2 And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and
take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his
heritage.
3 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I
devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall
ye go haughtily: for this time is evil.
4 In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with
a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed
the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away
he hath divided our

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation [testing] taken you but
such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you
to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also
make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Receive that which is set before you

Luke 10:8 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat
such things as are set before you:

Bible says people do not receive because they do not ask so now
Christians have become experts in asking and thus we find them living in
abundance. Many of the Evangelist and leaders lead them in the asking
business for they too ask of the people every time.

What is interesting is the Bible tells us to ask the Father but we have
changed the direction and are asking the people. We find most of the
Churches or at meetings there would be a special period set for the
asking and convincing the people to give.

In today's scripture we see Jesus Christ tells the seventy sent on a
mission as they enter the city to receive whatsoever is set before them.
It may be the best, or ordinary or even bad yet He told them to receive
it with a thankful heart.

It is very sad when one gives a leader a gift and then realizes that
person expects a premium brand in the same, so discards what you give
aside. People are so carnal in nature that they bring these fleshly
desires into the House of the Lord like the Israelites bought idols into
the Temple of the Lord.

Something new I learnt today is the Greek word for city comes from the
same word as war. Even in Hebrew the word for bread comes from the word
battle.

City without people is called a ghost town. So people are the most
important part of a city.

People and God's Word are always at battle. Both will cause you to
battle with your principles. The Word of God causes you to separate your
nature [bone] from your spirit [marrow] while people will cause you
[your spirit] to cling to your nature.

Let us not look at people even though they are used as vessels to serve
our provision. Let us always remember it is the Lord who provides so if
we need let us ask of Him. Whatever He provides is the best for us, also
always remember to thank Him for all that He provides. If we do that
then we will be like those seventy who on their return testified they
never lacked in their natural needs and spiritually received abundantly.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You alone are our Father. You alone are our Creator, Provider and
Protector. Let us always remember Lord that all provision comes from You
and people are just vessels You use to provide for us. As we bless those
vessels let us also learn to thank You alone for our every little
provision...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 10:1-17

Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father [meaning creator, provider,
protector] upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer,
believing, ye shall receive.

James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may
consume it upon your lusts.

1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep
his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

Forgiveness of our sins

Luke 11: 4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that
is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from
evil.

Before as a Catholic I used to follow the sacrament of confession. This
is also called the sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation. In this
sacrament a person knelt before a priest sitting behind a screen. They
are made to tell the priest all their sins since their last confession
(they need to say approximately how long back it was) after rattling a
prayer “Bless me father, for I have sinned. My last confession was…” and
after confessing the sins, again there was a prayer that needed to be
narrated while the priest narrated his. Then the priest would give a
task as penance which could usually be a prayer or 2 to be said a number
of times or even a task to do [this happens usually in cities in other
places the penance are more serious in nature], this punishment or
penance is necessary according to them for reconciliation. This was not
only for the laymen even the clergy had penances which at time are very
drastic; there are records of Popes who whipped themselves as penance.
If we see in the Bible, neither Jesus nor God did anything like this and
this has been imported from pagan beliefs.

In the Bible before Jesus came as man only the Lord could forgive sins
and Man of God would intervene on behalf of God. So forgiveness was
between God and man. But later Jesus who is God the Son humbled Himself
as Son of God and became Son of Man having authority as man forgave sins
and this authority He gave to His disciples too. So today if we truly
are His disciple we too can forgive sins, it means we stand as
ambassadors of God and forgive in His name.

People do not understand what forgiveness is all because they equal it
to a crime and a punishment given to restore honor, thus Catholics who
do not truly believe in the sacrifice of Jesus take a symbolic penance
as punishment, on the other hand we have Believers who always substitute
the suffering which Jesus received on the Cross as their punishment and
claim forgiveness.

Bible does say Jesus took away all our sins on Himself and we have
received forgiveness. Paul describes sin more perfectly as corruption.
Jesus has forgiven us our sins means He put us on the track of
restoration. Today our destination is not towards payment of our sins /
suffering corruption but towards complete restoration.

In the Bible forgiveness is preceded with repentance, without repentance
there is no receiving of forgiveness. I can forgive a person but for
that person to receive forgiveness that person needs to repent first.
The Greek word for repentance is 'metanoeo', it is a compound word, made
of two words, 'with' and 'understanding'. Repentance is less of being
sorry but more of correction. It is only when a person decides to
correct oneself that the person is considered as truly repenting.

The word 'forgive' in the prayer Our Father is in the aorist tense, it
is unlike the tenses in English, it is past, present and future together
so it means God forgave, forgives and will forgive. That means even if I
sin tomorrow God has already forgiven but that does not mean I have a
license to sin since if I am not on that path of repentance/correction I
will not receive. The day we stop repenting we land up rejecting the
sacrifice of Jesus and if we do that we have no hope.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are a Merciful God while You are also an Righteous God. Lord
Jesus You paid the punishment of our sins once for all and overcame by
your resurrection. Lord You gave us your Spirit who takes us on the path
of restoration; we pray we do not grieve the Spirit for there is no
forgiveness after that. We pray we always remain on the path of
repentance so that we always receive forgiveness...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 9:1-8
1 And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a
bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son,
be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man
blasphemeth.
4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in
your hearts?
5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say,
Arise, and walk?
6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to
forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up
thy bed, and go unto thine house.
7 And he arose, and departed to his house.
8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God,
which had given such power unto men.

Luke 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them
power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth
shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall
be loosed in heaven.

Exodus 30:21 So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they
die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to
his seed throughout their generations.

John 13:14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye
also ought to wash one another's feet.

Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the
knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Netanyahu Issues Stern Warning to Iran – Cannot Allow Development Of Nuclear Weapon
APRIL 22, 2017
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Friday in an exclusive Fox News interview that the world cannot allow Iran to develop a nuclear weapon. Netanyahu theorized to Sean Hannity about what the outcome would be in a confrontation where an “Islamist terror state” has nuclear weapons. He warned of irreparable damage and said “we cannot allow that to happen.” “If we are resolute in our policies, we can make sure that doesn’t happen,” he said on “Hannity.” Netanyahu made the comment a day after President Trump ripped into the deal struck by Iran, the U.S.
and other world powers in 2015 and said “it shouldn’t have been signed.” Yet he pointedly stopped sort of telegraphing whether or not the U.S. would stay in.”They are not living up to the spirit of the agreement, I can tell you that,” Trump said of the Iranians, though he did not mention any specific violations. Earlier this week, the administration certified to Congress than Iran was complying — at least technically — with the terms of the deal, clearing the way for Iran to continue enjoying sanctions relief in the near term.

Lameness and quicksand

Acts 27: 16, 17 And running under a certain island which is called
Clauda, we had much work to come by the boat: Which when they had taken
up, they used helps, undergirding the ship; and, fearing lest they
should fall into the quicksands, strake sail, and so were driven.

In the Bible names having meanings were not by coincident, not only
names of people but even of places had a spiritual revelation in them.
Let me take the names of the sons of Jacob for instance:-

Reuben: Behold, A Son is born to us
Simon: One who hears
Levi: Attached
Judah: Praise the Lord
Dan: He judged
Naphtali : My Struggle
Gad: Good fortune
Asher: Happiness
Issachar: Reward
Zebulun: Honour
Joseph: Add to my family
Benjamin: Son of righteousness

So when we put them in a sentence it becomes:-
BEHOLD, A SON IS BORN UNTO US, ONE WHO HEARS US AND BECAME ATTACHED UNTO
US. PRAISE THE LORD. HE JUDGED OUR STRUGGLES AND BROUGHT US GOOD
FORTUNE, HAPPINESS, REWARD, HONOR; HE ADDED US TO HIS FAMILY AND CALLED
US THE SONS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS._

The name Clauda in Greek means lame and we read quicksand being located
near the island. Spiritually also lameness co-associates with quicksand.
People think reaching out to others who are lost and bringing them back
to Christ is a work Lord has set for a few.

Let me take a scripture Matthew 4:19 where Jesus says 'follow me and I
will make you fishers of men'. Now let us take it reverse - If we are
fishing men then we are following Jesus. That means those who do not do
the mission [Will of the Father] that Christ gave us are not followers
of Christ and these may not enter Heaven.

The moment we do not do the mission for a short period we start to make
excuses and as we make excuses justifying our wrong and we start to fall
deeper into rejecting the mission. This is the spiritual quicksand which
destroys us.

In today's message the Lord is telling us to be aware of this spiritual
island called lameness and the quicksand that surrounds it.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord do not need minuscule worm like man
for the works of your Kingdom, yet You call him for a great mission.
Lord we pray we realize this mission transforms us and makes us
spiritually into a new being. We also pray when we go out to minister to
others we may realize we are not doing that person a favor but we are
doing ourselves a favor. May we also realize we, ourselves are greater
benefactors of working in your Kingdom. May we always be thankful for
the harvest You bless us with...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you
fishers of men.

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come
after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my
judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the
Father which hath sent me.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter
into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father
which is in heaven.

Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also
deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in
heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Measure of the Holy Spirit

John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God
giveth not the Spirit by measure

Today's message is a very important aspect to understand. In today's
message we read about God not giving the Holy Spirit by measure yet we
read only Jesus had the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

There are two aspects we need to understand here one is although the
Holy Spirit is one yet there are 7 forms of the Holy Spirit and the
functioning of the Church is based on the 7 Spirits of the Holy Spirit
for they are related to Callings. The candle stick with its seven
branches kept in the Tabernacle represented the Holy Spirit. The seven
Spirits of the Holy Spirit are listed in Isaiah 11:1,2 and the Callings
are in the respective hierarchy [ we are sadly following the Nicolaitan
system followed by the Catholic Church, a modification of the old Jewish
system].

Spirit of Lord - Christ the Head
Spirit of Skill - Apostle
Spirit of Discernment - Prophet
Spirit of Counsel - Teacher
Spirit of Power - Evangelist
Spirit of Knowledge - Bishop
Spirit of Fear of the Lord - Healer

Jesus said He is the vine and we are His branches in John 15:5. Since we
branch out form Him thus we have various Callings. That does not mean we
receive only the Spirit according the Calling. All of us initially
receive the Spirit of Truth / Counsel so as to enable us to understand
the Word of God and preach it [perform the mission we all are given],
yet all do not have the Calling of a Teacher.

The Holy Spirit is given to all but we do not receive all of the Holy
Spirit, it is as we grow we receive more of the Holy Spirit, this more
relates not only to quantity but also the other Spirits of the Holy
Spirit. Paul says we can do all things when we are in Christ [grow in
Him], it means a Teacher can also prophecy and heal or Prophet can
teach; but then a specialist is a specialist and others cannot beat the
one in that Calling. As a Teacher I can prophecy but then I cannot beat
a Prophet at this.

Calling should be also understood as a student taken a field of studies,
and one does not become a doctorate in that field on the first day of
joining school / college, the person needs to grow slowly and gradually.
Thus hierarchy of Calling is not the only bases of seniority. We also
need to remember the higher the calling the more they serve those below
in other words the more senior mean greater servant.

To understand more on our growing and receiving more of the Holy Spirit;
although all of His Spirit is available to all who are baptized in
Christ, yet the receiving depends on the size of the vessel. Smaller
vessels receive less and larger vessels receive more; by our surrender
and obedience we enlarge our vessel, thus our receiving more of the Holy
Spirit grows.

Mary was filled with the Holy Spirit that does not equate her to Jesus
for the size of the receiving vessel matters. In the initial stages we
can be overwhelmed easily by the Holy Spirit but as we grow we need to
receive more of Him to be overwhelmed.

As Believers who are baptized in Christ let us not think by just
receiving the Spirit of Truth it is sufficient. We need to receive more
of Him and grow in completeness of His Spirit.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Spirit and You humbled yourself and came as man. Lord, You
are light and as light refracts in seven beautiful colors You set your
glory among man. You said not by my power or by my might but by my
Spirit. Lord we pray we understand the importance of your Spirit for
without your Spirit we cannot overcome and the Church as a body needs to
be founded and operate in your Spirit...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Revelation 4:5 And out of the throne proceed lightnings and voices and

Eating and drinking after resurrection

Luke 22:16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until
it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

In Islam they believe when they enter Jannat (Paradise) the men will be
seated in gardens and will be served wine non-stop by very young,
temptress, beautiful women. Also there will be 70+ of these beautiful
women to gratify the sexual desires of each man. They will eat and drink
whole day and night but will not excrete for they will not have exit
systems in their bodies. They had to come up with the later part since
the scene is set in a garden and there cannot be toilets in a garden
that is heavenly. This is the output when corrupt human mentality
applied to spiritual matter.

In Christianity things are not far off i.e. Christians talk of the grand
wedding banquet in Heaven when we all enter Heaven. See any picture made
of this event and one would see roasted turkey, lobsters, chicken, lamb,
fish, wine... name it all that one desires to eat and drink on earth
will be there in Heaven.

People used to call me 'throne to the flesh' since the truth I used to
reveal would destroy all their fleshy desires. Let me share one today.

If we read in Genesis after God made man he was instructed to eat
(fruit) of the trees so he was a vegetarian. Man became non-vegetarian
only after he sinned and had to eat of the sacrifice which was killed to
clothe him. This was symbolic to us accepting the Paschal sacrifice. So
when man overcomes sin, will man still be non-vegetarian? NO. So now in
Heaven this banquet will be pure veg banquet. Now ask how many would be
interested to go to Heaven to eat veg for eternity?

Man is very carnal in nature; his flesh controls him more than his
spirit. After resurrection they feel they will have a new type of
(uncorrupt) flesh. Jesus said after resurrection we will be like the
Angels. Angels are spiritual beings; they can take form of human flesh
for there is a common ground between them and us. Angels do not take
form of animals or things like Hindu mythology and mythology of any
other religion.

Please understand Heaven is not an earthly resort floating in space.
Heaven is a spirit place. This may seem complicated to understand or
imagine but when one understands the meaning of spirit then it becomes
even more incomprehensible to imagine Heaven.

Jesus as man was the only human who resurrects in the flesh for He did
not sin and His flesh did not see corruption as He lived His natural
human lifetime on earth.

We all sin so our flesh goes to dust but our spirit lives. We do not get
a new flesh but become like Angels which are spirit beings. If anyone
has seen Angels would understand what they are [ones in drawings of men
and women with wings are imagination of little children]. Angels do not
eat things like we do on earth, in Heaven they eat spiritual food that
we as human can imagine as coming from Heavenly trees. Angels also do
not have genders like we humans in flesh do. They are called Sons of God
not because they are male but because they have the image of God the
Father in them. Jesus is God the Son, who became Son of God and became
Son of Man so that sons of man would again become Sons of God and get
entry to Heaven to live eternally.

We people have no idea of the things that is set for us in Heaven. Our
carnal mind and our carnal desires restrict us from understanding it. It
is only when we overcome it will we be set free from this corrupt world.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Spirit and You dwell in Heaven which is a spirit place.
Your Word says only those who are led by the Holy Spirit become Sons of
God and they alone can enter Heaven. We pray Lord we overcome our flesh
and our fleshy desires. Let not this corruption misled us and led us to
destruction and vanity...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree
of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats
of skins, and clothed them.

Genesis 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock
and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his
offering:

Matthew 22:29-30
29 But Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the
scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in
marriage, but are as angels in heaven.

Acts 13:33-35
33 that God hath fulfilled the same unto our children, in that he
raised up Jesus; as also it is written in the second psalm, Thou art my
Son, this day have I begotten thee.
34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more
to return to corruption, he hath spoken on this wise, I will give you
the holy and sure blessings of David.
35 Because he saith also in another psalm, Thou wilt not give Thy Holy
One to see corruption.

Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, be not anxious for your life,
what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what
ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than
the raiment?

1 Corinthians 15:32 If after the manner of men I fought with beasts at
Ephesus, what doth it profit me? If the dead are not raised, let us eat
and drink, for to-morrow we die.

Luke 22:30 that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and ye
shall sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Revelation 22:2 in the midst of the street thereof. And on this side of
the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve manner of
fruits, yielding its fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were
for the healing of the nations.

Rise and Pray today

Luke 22:46And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter
into temptation.

Now that most of the schools and colleges in India have finished their
exams, most of the children would be eagerly waiting for their results.
Those who woke up late nights or took time regularly to study through
their academic year would not be worried of the results and may be in
fact excited for they were prepared. But those who did not, who lazed
around or were busy doing things that were irrelevant to their studies
will be most worried.

Think of it, can a person who did not spend time studying and did not
answer the paper, if that person prays, would that person pass? Would
that prayer be answered? There is a possibility if that person needs a
few marks God may change the heart of the corrector to be lenient and
give the extra marks for the person to pass. But that is only if the
person needs just a few marks.

We do say God is omnipotent and nothing is impossible for God but in
such a case would God intervene? The only option for God would be to do
an unfair deed unto others so as to answer the prayer and that God does
not do, for He is a just God.

In today's message we read Jesus waking up His disciple to tell them to
pray so that they do not fall into temptation.

Let us ask a question, can a sleeping person be tempted? So Jesus was
not asking them to pray such that they do not get tempted at that moment
but to pray so that they are not tempted in the future. He was asking
them to be like those students who prepare for the exam in advance by
studying.

Now let us ask another question, are exams bad? All students may not
like exams but they know without exams they cannot move to go to a
higher standard. So even though exams are not very good by all but they
are necessary, those who are prepared all the time love exams.

The Greek word translated as temptation is 'peirazo' and 5 times it is
translated as testing, try or examine. We do not associate temptation to
God but always to devils. The moment we say temptation we associate the
direction towards destruction and not promotion. But when we say God
tests us we know the direction is towards promotion and not destruction.
That is what James says in his letter when he wrote that God does not
tempt / test with evil.

Let us face it we will face both testing and temptation during our
spiritual growth. Testing and temptations build us like rigorous
training a commando goes, his falls also teach him what not to do the
next time. They are like the persecution which every growing Christian
faces while doing work for God's Kingdom.

If both are necessary then what are we praying for?

We need to understand God is in control of all things and devils cannot
tempt us if God does not permit. That does not mean God encourages
devils to tempt.

Those who are spiritually growing have a hedge of protection around them
and this deters the devils' works. So the more we grow the higher are
the walls of protection. Even when the walls are low and we are seeking
God, God sets a limit to the level of testing devils do and makes
available an escaped through it. To escape through that testing /
temptation we need to be spiritually awake. Our communication (prayer
does not mean just pleading with God, also good communication needs the
Word to be in us) with God keeps us spiritually awake so that we do not
fall easily prey to devils' testing and secondly even if we do then we
will find that escaped window which God always provides.

Jesus was made to fast for 40 days in the wilderness [He did not do it
as repentance nor to build faith] so that He would be broken down in the
natural and spiritual and could be tested. God set Him to be tested by
Satan the same tests which Adam and Eve went through in Eden. This was
for us who are growing spiritually to learn how to overcome devils'
testing /temptation.

Both God and Satan test if the Word is in us. It is the Word in us that
helps promote us or lets us escape testing.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are a Merciful and Righteous God. You do not compromise your
principles yet You make way for man to escape destruction. Satan always
tried to put man against You so that your wrath may fall upon man and
destroy him. Lord Jesus You took the wrath of God on You on the Cross
and gave us your Spirit so that via your Spirit we do not fall to face
the wrath. Lord we pray we realize how great the wrath would be, that
after receiving your Spirit we do not abide in it...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 8:13And those on the rock are they who, when they have heard,
receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who for a while
believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

1 Timothy 6:9But they that are minded to be rich fall into a temptation
and a snare and many foolish and hurtful lusts, such as drown men in
destruction and perdition.

James 1:13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for
God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempteth no man:

Matthew 4:1Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be
tempted of the devil.

1 Corinthians 10:13There hath no temptation taken you but such as man
can bear: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted
above that ye are able; but will with the temptation make also the way
of escape, that ye may be able to endure it.

Luke 21:36But watch ye at every season, making supplication, that ye may
prevail to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand
before the Son of man.

Spiritual poverty

Jeremiah 15:17 I sat not in the assembly of the
mockers [jokers], nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of
thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.

We find so many great theological knowledgeable
people but the sad part is all are taught by man.
People are filled with human knowledge such that they lower the
Kingdom of God to that like to an earthly kingdom of man.

As a Bible Teacher, Apologist and active
evangelist I interact with the cream of top preachers
across the country. Every time I come across a new person
I think now I got someone to interact with and
share with, but then as I spend little time with them I
land up totally disappointed.

People are so filled with knowledge but lack
understanding. They have little understanding of both
scriptures and also the Kingdom of God. The main problem is lack
of spiritual wisdom and discernment. We are surrounded
with Solomons who impress the world with their
worldly wisdom but are in spiritual ruins. Solomon was a
worldly wise person but a spiritual fool who in his old
age when man is peak with wisdom landed
worshipping false gods. The things that today's learned
people speak of connected to matters around the Bible can
make a person stare with awe but when it comes to
the core understanding of the scriptures or the Kingdom
of God then one is in a state of mourning.

This week itself I had two people whom I looked
up to thinking I would enjoy spiritual sharing with them
but then was totally disappointed to know their Biblical
discernment / understanding though they did impress me
with their knowledge on other things.

One needs to understand however much efforts one
puts in study scriptures and things related to them
(which is necessary) they will never give you true understanding
of the Kingdom of God. Jesus was the best teacher there
ever was or will be, but yet He was not
successful to teach His own disciples. It was only when His
disciples received the Holy Spirit that they understood
all what Jesus preached to them.

We humans can give knowledge but revelation comes
only from God. It is the Holy Spirit who opens our eyes
to the perfect understanding of any matter. When I was
full with thirst to study the Bible the Lord did
not allow me to join any Bible college / classes, He
made me sit with Him to study it for almost a year. I am truly
thankful today I abided in Him [I have a Calling of a
Teacher and would not advice the same to all, go
by what He instructs].

Like Jeremiah felt during that time, today things
have not changed much. Today also we are surrounded with
entertainers who teach worldly things in the name of
Christianity. It is time to cry out to the Lord to give
us Teachers who will teach us according to His
heart. Unless we do not have the right understanding we will not
have the right standing with God. David was close to God
yet He abided in Seers and other Men of God to
grow in the Lord same with Paul whom Christ spoke to but
only understood when he shared it with Teachers. We
desperately need Bible Teachers who teach
according to His heart, filled with His Knowledge and
understanding.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are Truth and You never change, You
were, You are and will always be the same. Lord we pray
people do not seek religion but seek truth. We pray they
understand they need to have relationship with your
Spirit and learn from your Spirit. Lord Jesus You
gave us the Spirit of Truth so that we understand the Truth
and the Truth sets us free. We pray we seek your Spirit
more and more and grow in Him...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Jeremiah 3:14-17
14 Return, O backsliding children, saith
Jehovah; for I am a husband unto you: and I will take you one of
a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to
Zion:
15 and I will give you shepherds according to my
heart, who shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
16 And it shall come to pass, when ye are
multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith
Jehovah, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant
of Jehovah; neither shall it come to mind;
neither shall they remember it; neither shall they miss it;
neither shall it be made any more.
17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the
throne of Jehovah; and all the nations shall be gathered unto
it, to the name of Jehovah, to Jerusalem: neither shall
they walk any more after the stubbornness of
their evil heart.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Fri 07 Apr 2017, 11:32 pm

How old are you?

2 Timothy 3: 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures,
which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in
Christ Jesus.

People have an age which is their natural age and is earthly time based
(days, months, years). There is also a spiritual age which starts with
sprouting of the seed of faith. All are made by God yet all are not God’s
children. God’s children have incorruptible seed of faith thus sprout while
worldly people have corruptible seed thus do not sprout, they reject the
Word. As the seed of faith sprouts in Believers they have start to have 2
ages one their natural age and the other their spiritual age. The natural
age is alike the world which is uniformed, the body also syncs with the
natural age (unless a genetic deformation). But the spiritual age is not
time based it depends on spiritual maturity which in turn depends on the
spiritual discernment.

A child has liquid food because it does not have teeth. The moment the
child’s teeth start forming the mother starts putting the child to gradual
stages of solid food. A person dealing in animals, especially horses or
cattle checks it health or age by checking its teeth, other than its
exterior looks. The dental health of the animal speaks volumes of its
natural health.

Our spiritual discernment is our spiritual teeth and this discernment
depends on our knowledge and understanding (based on scriptures) of the
Kingdom of God, and our experiencing this Kingdom through our work in the
Lord. Knowledge and understanding gives growth to our spiritual teeth; our
works of faith gives strength to our spiritual teeth. The more we know and
more we do His work we start to have strong spiritual discernment. If we
just learn we will have teeth but weak ones like children have milk teeth
which fall. If we know little but do lots of work we will have strong teeth
but very small teeth and they do not help in eating solid food / meat.

In spirit our age is never stable it either grows or degrades, we can never
be of the same age for long. That means if we are not growing spiritually
we are degrading and this is called backsliding. So not increasing in
knowledge and understanding, or not continually doing God’s work can be
very harmful to our spiritual life it is equivalent to not feeding the
natural body.

A spiritual guide, if he or she is not growing continually will one day
find his or her students grown more than him or her and that would make him
or her their student. One is not permanently a spiritual guide unless one
is permanently not growing in the Lord.

Like we do a regular health check of our natural body let us also do a
regular health check of our spiritual body. Let us check if we are growing
or degrading. The day we think it is sufficient it would be a sad day for
our spiritual lives and will be equivalent to fasting unto death.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You are Almighty and Omnipotent God. You Lord are perfect in every
way yet your Word says your glory grows leaps and bound every moment. If
You God are increasing, we as your children are also called to keep
increasing in spirit every moment. We pray Lord we understand the risk of
ignoring our spiritual lives for children do not inherit the Kingdom of God
but only mature Sons do...

This prayer we make this prayer in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

1 Corinthians 3:2-3

2 I fed you with milk, not with meat; for ye were not yet able to bear it:
nay, not even now are ye able;

3 for ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you jealousy and
strife, are ye not carnal, and do ye not walk after the manner of men?

1 Peter 1:22-24

22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth unto
unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another from the heart fervently:

23 having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth.

24 For, All flesh is as grass, And all the glory thereof as the flower of
grass. The grass withereth, and the flower falleth:

Hebrews 5:12-14

12 For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need
again that some one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the
oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid
food.

13 For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word
of righteousness; for he is a babe.

14 But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use
have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of
God.

Open the Eyes

Acts 26:18To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light,
and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness
of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that
is in me.

One of the most marvelous things of God's creation is the eye. In humans
also we see in the whole body, the eyes stand as the most complex and
mesmerizing part of the body. The first thing that attracts a person
(only when a person is up close) is the beauty of the eyes. Since ages
poets have written numerous poems on the eyes. Bible also gives great
importance to our eyes and considers them not only as windows to our
soul but that which reflect our souls.

In one of our previous message we learned those who are spiritually lame
[those who do not do, or are lethargic to do God's work] would not be
allowed to enter the Kingdom of God [Heaven]. Along with the lame are
those who are blind, those whose eyes are not opened [who do not know
the Truth / even though they may know Jesus but they do not know the
purpose of Jesus] they too will not enter the Kingdom of God.

One needs to understand that eye is both and organic/biochemical as well
mechanic organ. One cannot have no movement of the eye for a long time
and continue to see. If the eyelids do not moist the eye regularly the
eye dries up and the person loses sight.

We know eye symbolizes truth but most people think by studying
scriptures and things related to the word of God one can know the truth,
they are mistaken. When Jesus said 'you shall know the truth and the
truth shall set you free', before that He said 'if you continue in my
word then you are my disciples' and then He said 'and you shall know the
truth and the truth shall set you free '.

The Bible is a book which is theory cum practicals. If one just does
theory or just does practicals one will not understand or know the
Kingdom of God. We need to do both, what we read we need to apply, and
what we do, we need to discern with the Word. If only we do both will we
know the Word, know the truth and enter the Kingdom of God.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are a Living God. Although You are a Holy God yet You Lord have
not left your people helpless. You sent a part of You your beloved Son
to us to help us. We pray Lord we understand although You gave your
Word, your Word also become flesh. You are not just words but also of
action...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Matthew 6:23But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of
darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great
is that darkness!

Matthew 18:9And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from
thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than
having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

Psalms 11:4The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in
heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

Psalms 19:8The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the
commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Proverb 6:12-14

12A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.

13He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with
his fingers;

14Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he
soweth discord.

Luke 24:15-16, 31-32

15And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned,
Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

16But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

31And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of
their sight.

32And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while
he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

John 12:40He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that
they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart,
and be converted, and I should heal them.

John 8:31-32

31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in
my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 1:14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld
his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of
grace and truth.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Wed 05 Apr 2017, 10:44 pm

Are we called to submission to man?

1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea,
all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for
God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

The one weapon that is used in most unbeliever churches (like Catholic
or Orthodox Churches) and even many Believer Churches is the term
'submit'. Submit to elders, submit to leaders, submit to Priest /
Pastors, wives submit to husband, children submit to parents etc. even
when they lead one away from God, restrict or deprive a person from
doing God's work.

As a Catholic when the Lord started speaking to me this weapon of the
enemy was the greatest challenge I faced. People told me not to follow
the Bible but follow what man said or the traditions of man; this came
not only from elders but even Priests who said they represented the Lord.

Even after becoming a Believer I faced Pastors who spoke about being
involved in Church activity, feeding the fed more than evangelizing to
the lost and feeding the hungry. I had so many who discouraged me from
seeking the true understanding of the Word; they wanted me to be
satisfied with the error filled, stagnant understanding that have been
going on from years and years. These people make God to be a man and one
who has gone to sleep, the only things He does is heal and perform miracles.

If we look at today's scripture the Greek word translated as submit is
hupotasso, this is a compound word made of hupo which means 'by' and
'tasso' which means 'ordain' or 'put in order'. If they it were to be
translated in English it would together mean 'coordinate' if taken
separately it would mean 'by appointment', now being spiritual reference
it would mean by appointment of the Lord.

If we look at scriptures very young persons were leading those who were
elder, so age was not the factor for one to submit. We also see
relationship was not the factor for we find even Jesus rebuking His own
family persons or disciples who tried to discourage or stop Him from
doing His Father's work. Spiritual superiority is not based on first
come but on growth since Paul fought with Barnabas who was instrument in
molding his spiritual life in the initial stage, it did not agree with
Paul to compromise duty for family relationships [I have shared on this
before about Barnabas and Mark]. We also see Paul called Timothy his
spiritual son but later his spiritual associate.

We find in scriptures even though we are called to respect our elders
yet the only authority that finally stood was the one by God's
appointment. Calling and spiritual maturity are the principle factors
for submission. Prophet submitted to Apostle, Teacher submitted to
Prophet, Evangelist to Teacher, Administrator /Bishop to Evangelist
etc... Though the master serves the servant yet the servant submits to
the master, though the greater Calling served the lesser yet the lesser
Calling submitted to the greater.

Let us get this into our heads the Lord is above all and anyone trying
in any way to take us away from the Lord or restrict us from doing His
mission we should not submit. Before we make any decision we need to
give thought if they are guiding us or misguiding us (this we will know
by their fruits). We should not directly rebel but always do in a gentle
way without compromising our relationship with the Lord.

For example when Jesus was yet a child He desired to start doing the
Father's work but on insistence of His parents He returned home with His
parents. People mistakenly think He waited to become 30 to start His
ministry, they do not read when He went to the wedding of Canna He did
so with His disciples. If He had not been doing ministry then how could
He have disciples? At the age of 30 He left His family life and
dedicated Himself totally to the Father's work. Before 30 He did not
need to work and provide His family since at His birth the gifts they
had received was sufficient for their lifetime. The Twelve He chose
later were those whom He nurtured for a mission. He waited till 30 to
fulfill scriptures.

Let us always equate the Kingdom of God to an army where rank matters
over age and personal relationship; but above all mission matters more.

Let us do all things with love and a gentle spirit but in case the
obstacle is strong let us not hesitate to take bold steps. Let us
remember Jesus also said if anyone leaves his father, mother, brother or
sister for His sake will receive a multitude in the Kingdom of God.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Mighty God. There is nothing that is impossible for You yet
You Lord do not destroy Satan and evil yourself, You have chosen us to
be the light that overcomes this darkness. Lord we pray we understand
the purpose is very important but the means also matters. We cannot
justify good by evil means. We pray we discern the misled from the
stiff-neck...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Matthew 19:29And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or
sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my

50And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.

51And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto

John 2:1-2, 11

1And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the

2And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

11This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and
manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

The grave mistake of Men of God

Acts 21:28 Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that
teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this
place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath
polluted this holy place.

In the Bible we see Men of God had disastrous consequences due to
emotional reasons. Right from the first man Adam who dwelled in the
presence of God and had access to Paradise, to a person like Paul who
was very knowledgeable yet made a grave mistake and paid a very heavy
price all because they allowed worldly emotions to misguide them.

Adam was spiritually strong thus Satan did not dare to directly tempt
him, Satan knew Adam loved Eve and Satan also knew Eve was not very
strong, so Satan chose to attack Adam through Eve. Adam let his love for
Eve give way to his discernment and thus fell.

We have Abraham who suffered 25 years due to family bonds. He was told
by God to only take his wife and go to the promised land and Abraham was
promised a son. But Abraham took Lots his nephew along and only after he
separated did he receive the promised son.

Jacob for the sake of romance paid a very heavy price to win the hand of
Rachael and so did David for Bathsheba who was already married. David's
son Solomon loved beauty so much that he married about 700 beautiful
women and over that he had about 300 concubines [mistresses]. Joseph the
son of Jacob gave up his inheritance with Israel for the sake of his
career and worldly power in Egypt and did not return with his brethren.
Similarly Samson too broke all the 5 vows as a Nazarene for various
reasons, the last being getting his hair cut for the love of a woman and
he paid for this with his life.

We see in today's message Paul who always spoke against traditions and
against keeping the law in the flesh was himself misled to do it by the
convincing of those close to him. Paul joined a few Greeks following
Judaism who wanted to accept Christ but after fulfilling the Jewish
ritual of cutting their hair at the doorstep of synagogue as a sign of
breaking a vow.

We can go into the lives of all the Men of God, the test of worldly
emotions they faced that lead them off the track. The Bible honestly
records their good work and also their failures.

As Men or Women of God let us not think we can always take the grace and
favor of God for granted. As we grow in spirit and in understanding of
the Word of God, God accepts spiritual maturity and discernment from us.
We should not let worldly emotions be it from our spouse, children, kin
or those close to us, we should not let worldly relations like
friendship or romance or worldly values misled us to compromise our
spiritual lives or principles of the Kingdom of God.

Let our No be No and our Yes be Yes the moment we stand in between we
stand in a danger zone of spiritual comprise. Surely even after we fall
God will save us but we will land with a testimony for the world to
learn from our mistake.

Let us be like Jesus who did not allow personal relationships like that
of His mother and His brethren to interfere spiritual life. He did not
let their lack of understanding to mislead Him. He also did not allow
the goals of His ministry to go astray due to family relationship or
references like personal request by His aunty Salome [sister of Mary]
and wife of Cleophas named Zebedee and the mother of John and James to
give them the most important place in the ministry. They did get
important place but did not lead, it was Simon Peter who led the Jewish
Christians and later Paul led the gentile Christians. Jesus did not heed
to worldly emotions and overcame them immediately like in the case of
loss of John the Baptist who was dear to Him.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty and Righteous God. Your Word says your Yes is Yes
and your No is No and that is what You Lord expect of us. Your Word also
says light has nothing to do with darkness and is separated from
darkness; it overcomes darkness but does not dwell with it. Lord we pray
we do not let worldly values or emotions to overcome us and lead us to
misjudge or compromise our spiritual values...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

John 2:2-4

2And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

3And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They
have no wine.

4Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is
not yet come.

Matthew 14:10-14

Matthew 10:20-24

Mark 15:40There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary
Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;

John 19:25Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his
mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.

Matthew 27:56Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of

His Flesh was the Veil

Hebrews 10:19,20Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the
holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath
consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

In our previous message we understood when the Bible mostly spoke of the
blood of Jesus it spoke of /symbolized His sacrifice / His death and not
the fluid of the body. Today's scripture speaks of the boldness we have
to enter the Holy place [Kingdom of God] because Jesus paid the price
for us / our sins. What is interesting is the scripture also compares
the veil to His flesh. It speaks of us being concentrated or made holy
by the veil which is His flesh.

Like the blood here too the flesh is not literal. Again to remind you
Jesus preached in Hebrew and Aramaic and not in Greek. Hebrew He spoke
with the Jews, things concerning the Temple or the Kingdom of God, and
Aramaic He spoke with the common people / market place. So to understand
things concern the Temple or Kingdom of God one needs to study it via
the Hebrew language.

In Hebrew the word for flesh 'basar' and it also means 'good news' /
'message'. So many times when Jesus took bread and said basar it meant
'Good News'. When Jesus told unless you eat my basar you will have
nothing to do with me the Jews thought flesh since He said 'eat' and
said 'basar' but Jesus meant eat the Good News / make it part of you.

Today's message says we are concentrated through the tearing of the veil
which is the flesh [basar] of Jesus Christ. It is only when the Word was
broken [revealed by God] did man understand the Word and it is only when
the Message is broken are we concentrated by it.

In OT they ate bread made from Manna [in Hebrew meaning 'what is it']
and yet they died. They had the Word which came from Heaven but since
they did not understand it they were not saved by it. They tried to
follow it [follow the letter] without understanding thus followed
rituals and manmade traditions. Today by the grace and truth that comes
through Jesus Christ we are given the ability [through His Spirit] to
understand the Word that is why the bread is Living Bread. We follow the
Word in Spirit and Truth.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Holy God and nothing unholy can dwell before You. You Lord
gave up your beloved Son as a sacrifice for our sins, He also made peace
between us and You by His sacrifice so that we receive your Spirit. It
is your Spirit the Spirit of Truth who reveals the true understanding of
the Word unto us. We thank You Lord for unlike the Jews we eat the
Living Word and not Manna...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

John 6:51-59

51I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of
this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my
flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

52The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man
give us his flesh to eat?

53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye
eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in
you.

54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I
will raise him up at the last day.

55For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

56He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I
in him.

57As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he
that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

58This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers
did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for
ever.

59These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

Matthew 27:51And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from
the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

Mark 14:22And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake
it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

Luke 24:15-31

Hebrews 7:28For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity;
but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who
is consecrated for evermore.

Balancing the Accounts

Philippians 4:15Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of
the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with
me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

In India March 31 is considered a day of financial end so all accounts
need to be balanced and taxes need to be paid. In today’s message Paul
talks of the Church of Philippi about their desire to do the accounts
which none of the other Churches did.

Just a few minutes back before I got this message someone was talking of
a hilarious play called ‘refund’ done by students in a school. The play
was about a man of 40years returning to his school to claim that the
education did not benefit him and was a waste, so he required a refund.
What happens after that is hilarious for the school puts him to a test
and his intention was to fail it while theirs is to pass him.

Today in our lives we need to think of regularly doing a balancing of
our spiritual accounts. We need to remember all those who have been a
blessing to us and see how we could return in some way or other like the
Church of Philippi were in depth to Paul and thus supported his ministry.

We also need to acknowledge all the depth we are to the Lord for all the
small and great things we receive from Him every day but yet we take Him
for granted. Do we think of how we can give in return to Him? We may
think does He need anything from us? Yes He does, not to Him directly
but He tells us to give unto those who are His, especially those who lack.

Let us do our accounting and see if we have balanced our spiritual
accounts, if not with God at least to those people who blessed us in our
spiritual lives. They may not need of us but we can surely give unto
their ministry.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty and Omnipotent God. There is nothing that exist
without You for all things are created by You. You Lord allow things so
that we learn and become what You desire of us. Our giving is also for
our receiving. Lord we pray we understand the need to bless others and
especially those who have been a blessing to us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Philippines 4:13-19

13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

14Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my
affliction.

15Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel,
when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as
concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

16For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

17Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to
your account.

18But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus
the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a
sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

19But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory
by Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 8:14But by an equality, that now at this time your
abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may
be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:

Acts 4:32-35

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one
soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he
possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of
the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were
possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the
things that were sold,

35And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made
unto every man according as he had need.

Faith made perfect

James 2:21, 22 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he
had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought
with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

We all know how Abraham demonstrated his faith by his willingness to
sacrifice his only son at the command of the Lord. We also know this was
just not a test but at the same place where Isaac was set free from
being sacrificed, there Jesus the Son of God the Father was sacrificed
for us. When God tests us it is not only for us but for the whole of
humanity itself.

Each one of us does not become perfect or eligible individually to enter
the Kingdom of God, but as a whole, all together as one body we are made
perfect. If God has asked each one of us to overcome every area of
corruption caused by sin, none of us would ever do so. Thus none would
ever enter Heaven.

Jesus overcame this world but we all together overcome this world. Each
one of us fights a unique battle which enables the Bride of Christ to
become perfect.

Our works of faith is the battle that is fought with spiritual weapons
i.e. if I say I have love and I do not express this love then can I
claim to possess love? Works of faith is the only way to express true love.

Let our Christianity not be verbal but let it manifest in the natural by
our works. Let these works not be worldly works which please people but
does not benefit them, let them be works that may even displease but
will surely bless them.

Let us do things according to the heart of God in the eyes of God and
not in the eyes of man. Let us remember these works not only benefit
others but also benefit us by making us perfect as a body.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Holy and Righteous God. It was because of the lack of faith
of two that the whole of mankind was caste out of Heaven. But Lord You
also let all those who are yours to return to Heaven by the perfection
of faith in just two. When You see perfect faith is the two witnesses
You say it is sufficient and call us up. We thank You Lord for being
merciful and at the same time being righteous...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Romans 12:5-8

5So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of
another.

6Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us,
whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

7Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on
teaching;

8Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it
with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy,
with cheerfulness.

Genesis 3:22-24

22And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know
good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the
tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

23Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till
the ground from whence he was taken.

24So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of
Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the
way of the tree of life.

Children of the Bondwoman

Galatians 4:30, 31 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the
bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir
with the son of the freewoman. So then, brethren, we are not children of
the bondwoman, but of the free.

Islam is based on the principle belief that Ismail is the rightful heir
to the promises of Abraham. Islam believes in works like Hinduism does.
They believe if we do good works [works of righteousness] it pleases God
and thus gives the hope to salvation /enter Jamnat /Paradise [Hinduism
believes in Mukti which means freedom from life cycle / Chakra].

Judaism also believes in works and their main work in following the
traditions other than works of righteousness. Judaism is a religion of
traditions which if not kept would disqualify a person from being a Jew
[similar to Zoroastrian religion].

Catholicism is a religion that is based on the belief that salvation is
through good works [works of righteousness] like Islam does and also the
necessity to keep the traditions of the Catholic Church. So we see
Catholicism is a concoction of Judaism and Islam. We all know
Catholicism have lifted a woman greater than the Lord Jesus and they
also claim salvation only through her intervention. She has indirectly
taken the place of the Holy Spirit in the life of a Christian.

As Christians we believe we are saved from Hell simply by our repentance
and faith in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. So
being saved from Hell is simply a mercy gift [grace] that is received by
faith. A Christian has to live a life that imitates Christ so works is
also very important. But in Christianity unlike Islam or Judaism or
Catholicism the works are not works of righteousness but are works of
faith. It is only when we do the Will of the Father [that is bring His
people to Him] that we get to enter the Kingdom of God. We do not earn
salvation but our works of faith but doing the works of faith we confirm
our faith and thus get to enter the Kingdom of God for we are saved by
grace through faith.

James writes faith without works is not faith or is false faith. So if
we believe in the Lord we need to do what the Lord has asked of us and
as Christians we are given the Holy Spirit who helps us execute the
plans of God that is to live the Christian life we are all called to live.

Today's message is tells us to remove the bondwoman from our lives. We
are called to not be her children, children of bondage but live a life
of being free from bondage. So let us reject the belief that by doing
good works / works of charity we are Christians. Let us reject the
belief that by doing rituals like going to Church on Sundays we are
Christians. Let us reject the belief that if we avoid sinning we are
Christian.

Let us understand becoming good is not what we work in us but what the
Spirit of God works in us. By ourselves we cannot become good. What we
are called to do is works of faith [our Cross] and in this too the Holy
Spirit is our Helper.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Holy and Righteous God. You are Light, You do not change
and are eternally same for Truth does not change. Lord we pray we
understand the Path to Salvation which the Lord Jesus Christ has opened
for us and shown us how to receive it. Lord we pray we walk this path
with the help of the Holy Spirit and not by our works of righteousness
or by traditions...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Romans 3:27Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of
works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Romans 9:32Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it
were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

Galatians 2:16Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the
law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus
Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by
the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be
justified.

Galatians 3:2This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by
the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

James 2:14,20,22,24,26

14What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and
have not works? can faith save him?

20But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

22Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith
made perfect?

24Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

26For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is
dead also.

Matthew 7:21-25

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in
heaven.

22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in
thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done
many wonderful works?

23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me,
ye that work iniquity.

24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I
will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and
beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Forgiveness through blood

Colossians 1:14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the
forgiveness of sins:

In Bible study one should be very clear we cannot mostly go by literal
words but need to go through its understanding. As people grow in
scripture study they learn Greek and Hebrew languages because when we
study each word with it grammatical rendering it opens great
understanding of each verse. At times I wondered the Jews knew the
Hebrew language so well then why did they fail in their understanding of
scriptures? It is as the Bible itself says 'the letter kills the Spirit
gives life', so if we do not have the proper understanding then the life
giving scripture may land us in death bondages like it has done to the
Jews, it leads to traditions and rituals as pagans do. I spoke of this
because today's scripture talks of blood of Jesus, one thing that has
not been understood well.

In pagan religions blood (the fluid in a living being) is given great
importance, even hardcore demonic worship rituals require blood (the
fluid). In India we have demonic gods and goddesses with blood filled
mouths.

Bible says life is in the blood and science knows that even if all the
organs are active, unless blood flows through them the person cannot
live. Every living being has a fluid that moves through them to keep
them alive and this includes plants too [they have sap which is like
blood to them], loss of this fluid causes death.

In both Greek and Hebrew the word blood has multiple meanings. In Greek
it means 'seat of life' and the fluid within a being. In Hebrew the word
for blood is 'dam' compared to the word for man is 'adam' which also
means reddish / full of life. Interestingly in Hebrew the word dam comes
from the root word damam which means death.

Jesus spoke in Hebrew to the Jews and Aramaic to the common people so
terms related to spiritual things should always be understood in the
Hebrew term i.e. when Jesus said one would have nothing to do with Him
unless one ate His flesh. Now the Hebrew word for flesh comes from the
root word meaning 'message' so when He said flesh it did not mean actual
human flesh but meant His message. So the conversion of communion /
wafer to human flesh is demonic and has nothing to do with the Lord.

In the OT many of the sins received forgiveness with repentance and a
blood sacrifice, when the Lord asked for a blood sacrifice He did not
ask for the fluid but for a life sacrifice, the fluid was symbolic.

Today's message tells us the blood of Jesus saves us from the punishment
of sins. The wrong understanding of focusing on the fluid has caused
people to seek the actual blood of Jesus and demons manifest statutes to
bleed so that idols are worshipped.

Today's scripture tells us that it was the death of Jesus that saves us
from the punishment of sins, His life was given for our sake so that we
are set free from the consequence of our sins. So let our focus be the
sacrifice and not the fluid.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Righteous God. You are Love but your Righteousness is above
Love so love had to pay the price. You Lord paid our price on our behalf
by becoming one of us. We thank You Lord for saving us from the
consequence of sins. Today by our faith in your Son we are saved from
Hell which was made for sinners. Lord we pray that we value this
sacrifice every moment of our lives and do not take it for granted since
there is no other option of we do...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Matthew 26:27-29

27And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying,
Drink ye all of it;

28For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for

Boasting v/s having Pride

2 Corinthians 10: 8For though I should boast somewhat more of our
authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for
your destruction, I should not be ashamed:

Pride we all know is evil and we also know it was one of the things that
bought an anointed Cherub like Lucifer to fall in the eyes of God and
become a source of evil.

If we analyze pride it is about being something which one is not. For
example I can /cannot be proud of my talents. Now if we understand
talent means 'naturally possessed ability or skill'. In other words
means we were born with it even though we may have discovered it later.
So can we take pride in our talents?

No if we think there is our hand in it, we created it and it is
something that is ours.

Yes if we consider it as God given and we are glorifying God for giving
it to us.

Can a plane boats about its ability to fly, NO. It is designed to fly by
the person who made it. Imagine a plane that never flew! The first thing
we would do is blame the one who designed it as being a failure in the
design, even though no one tried to fly it.

God has given each of us many skills according to our Calling or mission
in Him. These are special, meaning it is in greater quantity than the
other skills we possess i.e. we all can sing, some may sing better than
the others, we can also develop this skill to sing by practice but the
one born with this skill will do well without practice or trying.

When we are in Christ [know the power of the Holy Spirit] we can do all
things [for He does it through us] but then still we would have talents
/ natural born skills which would shine greater than normal and these
have a purpose in our lives.

In today's message Paul talks of boasting in his authority. The word
translated as boasting also means to glory, evil or good matters is who
is given this glory, when the Creator / maker of that ability is given
the glory than the pride /boasting is not bad. But when we make
ourselves recipient of that glory even though we did not make it then it
is an evil pride / boasting. So pride by itself is not evil unless the
recipient is not the rightful owner of that glory.

We all identify Paul as a humble man who was selflessly servicing the
Lord. But this humble man's greatest battle was with pride. In all other
areas the Lord showered abundant grace for him to overcome, but in the
area of overcoming pride the Lord told them thrice that the grace given
to him was sufficient.

Paul was a man of great knowledge and understanding, so we all may think
he was the best preacher, in fact that was the opposite. Paul had all
ability in great quantity leaving for the ability of a good orator. He
had great knowledge but sadly could not present this knowledge well
vocally as he could do in letter. People would get bored to hear Paul
speak unlike the interest they showed in reading his letters [vocally he
would go on and on and was not to the point like he did in his letters].
There is a case recorded in Acts where a person sitting on the window
still dosed off, fell and even died by the fall [Paul did bring him back
to life]. It was later Paul realized this weakness was for him to know
that the rightful owner of glory of his abilities was the Lord thus the
Lord kept him poor in that area.

Let us understand like Paul that we do not possess excellence in all
areas so that in the areas we possess we may give due credit to its
rightful owner that is the Lord, like Paul in today's message talks of
the authority which the Lord has given and he takes pride [good] in it
giving God the glory.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Truth thus eternally the same. Evil came because Truth was
distorted and apposed. Lord your Word says we will be set free from evil
only when the Truth is in us and this Truth can only be received not
just by studying the Word but more by living the Word. Help us Lord that
as we listen to the Word we may also follow it...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Sciptures]

2 Corinthians 10:7-11

7Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to
himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that,
as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.

8For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the
Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I
should not be ashamed:

9That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.

10For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily
presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

11Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters
when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.

2 Corinthians 12:5-10

5Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in
mine infirmities.

6For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will
say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above
that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.

7And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the
revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger
of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

8For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength
is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory
in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in
necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when
I am weak, then am I strong.

Acts 20:9 And there was a certain young man named Eutychus sitting on
the window sill, sinking into a deep sleep; and as Paul kept on talking,
he was overcome by sleep and fell down from the third floor, and was
picked up dead. (Act 20:9 NAS)

How much of suffering is enough?

Hebrews 11:37They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted,
were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and
goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

In the world we see people mock the crucifixion of Christ by enacting it
in live. They actually get themselves whipped and also get themselves
pierced on wooden crucifixes.

Bible does warn us of spiritual challenging times ahead, as we grow in
spirit and do signs and wonders so also would evil be manifested with
great signs and wonders.A few days back someone forwarded me a clip of a
statue of the head of supposing to be of 'Jesus' and this statue was
bleeding day by day looking more and more sorrowful. The clip showed
them do scientific tests on it to prove as supernatural; this has caused
people to worship it. We have many stigmata cases reported where people
supernaturally have wounds that are of nails pierced in hands, feet and
of thorns pierced in the head. It would not be surprising to see a
person suffer so much that people would think he or she is Christ
incarnated.

A question we need to ask 'do we love Christ for the physical suffering
He went through on the crucifix for us?'

Yesterday I was reflecting on this and dared to think of that one
question which unbelievers ask us, can suffering write off sin and how
much would be need to write it off? If I take all my sins that would
require lots and lots of suffering, now Christ saved not me alone from
Hell but all those who believed in Him (past, present and future) so if
I add the sins of all then the question is how much suffering would be
need for all sins?

True we do get emotional when we see the suffering of Christ but first
let us understand who suffered and why He suffered.

A single whip taken by an innocent for the sake of a guilty is worth a
thousand whips taken by the guilty. So Christ being perfectly sinless
still suffered for us sinners is no match even if millions of sinners
suffered the same.

More than that aspect we need to understand all the things Christ went
through was more to fulfill the sacrifices stated in the books of Moses
and for the pain i.e. the curse of thorns and thistles was broken by He
taking the crown of thorns on His head. Also while putting the crown
they laid their hands of His head so as to transfer mankind's sins on to
the sacrifice. The fact He was nailed on a cross was so that He would be
lifted up to become our bronze serpent on a pole (cursed for our sake
thus setting us free of curses). He was lifted high up by His hands and
feet also to become our peace sacrifice so that we receive the Holy
Spirit by Him making peace between us and God the Father. The wounds on
His back, the water that gushed out of His side when He was pierced with
a spear and the wooden cross got us our healing from all sicknesses. I
can go on and on with all that He did and fulfill for us through His
sacrifice for He fulfilled each and every sacrifice.

Today's scripture talks of Men of God who suffered and were also
martyred for the sake of the Kingdom of God. Like written some were even
sawed into pieces while they were alive, thought it earned them the
Kingdom of God yet that did not make them greater than Christ.

Let us not look at the quantity of suffering that Christ went through or
how painful it was. Let us understand all that Christ went through had
purpose and He fulfilled the Law for our sake, so that we reap the
blessing and are set free.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Righteous and Holy God. You Lord as love and You love
mankind, but your Righteousness and Holiness is above it. Your love
fulfilled righteousness by becoming a complete sacrifice for us. You
saved us from Hell and made a way for us to enter Heaven by giving us
your Spirit. Lord we pray we understand your sacrifice so as to receive
all its benefits and be abundantly blessed in You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Hebrew 10:5-10

1 Peter 2:24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree,
that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose
stripes ye were healed.

Galatians 3: 13Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being
made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth
on a tree:

Colossians 1:20And, having made peace through the blood of [sacrifice
on] his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I
say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Crucifixion of Jesus Christ

Acts 2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and
foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified
and slain:

After another 4 weeks we will see many people mocking the crucifixion of
Jesus. This happens especially in countries like the Philippines, Mexico
and South American countries, where the population is primarily
Catholic; even the Coptic and Orthodox Church, which are splits of the
Catholic Church do the same. The sad part is a large part of the
Believer Churches are part to this mocking of the Lord's sacrifice.

When one see the 'Stations of the Cross' as depicted by the Catholic
Church and the movie 'The Passion of Christ' produced by Mel Gibson one
would find a great difference between the agony Christ suffered
throughout His crucifixion. What is ironic both these are not Biblical
and give more weightage to traditional beliefs over Biblical facts.

Taking for i.e. the feast of Unleavened Bread (celebrated on Saturday /
Sabbath day) where Jesus broke bread with His disciples was celebrated a
week (Sabbath + 6 days) before the actual Passover /Paschal Feast (Jesus
was crucified the evening before Paschal Feast as a Paschal Lamb).
Before the exile of Israel to Babylon the Feast of Unleavened Bread was
celebrated after the Passover but due to the restrictions they faced
they celebrated both the Passover week and the week of Unleavened Bread
together. This is the reason 3 Gospels Matthew, Mark and Luke speaks of
them being celebrated together while Gospel of John speaks of it being
celebrated later.

So Jesus was arrested 5 days before His crucifixion as per the Books of
Moses where the Paschal lamb was bought and kept under observation for 5
days for any blemish before it was sacrificed (Jesus did not speak a
word of protest these 5 days). He was crucified on a Thursday evening
and not on a Friday. He was arrested Saturday evening, observed for 5
days and crucified on Thursday evening. Friday was the actual Passover
day and the 'High' / special Sabbath which the Gospel of John speaks of.
He resurrected on Sunday noon [day of the Peace Sacrifice], exactly on
the third day. That also makes Jesus' iconic coming into Jerusalem
celebrated as 'Palm Sunday', two weeks before His crucifixion and not a
week before (after He entered He went to the temple and disrupted the
market held there for the second time and did other things).

Coming to His suffering we see there too they mock Him. People do not
realize the Jews were under the rule of the Romans so were restricted in
issuing death penalties that is why they tossed Jesus from one court to
another, between the Jewish king appointed authority and the Roman
appointed authority. The Jews only whipped Him 39 (40-1) times and that
too with a normal whip, it was the Romans who whipped Him a hundred
times and that too with a whip having 9 to 13 cords with things like
bones, iron hooks etc. attached to them. It was a group of at least 3
strong men who took turns to deliver the 100 whips with all their might.
It is believed these men had rewards in silver if they killed the victim
by their whip. Psalms 22 and Isaiah 53 give a preview of His agony.

So if we look at what is being celebrated as Passover week in Christian
Churches, is purely traditions overwriting truth as recorded in the Word
of God. God did not desire ordinary man to have a detail record of His
suffering since the blood of the Paschal lamb was put on the outer part
of the door post for God to see but man to be just aware of its
existence and receive its benefit.

What the Catholic Church has done is distorted facts and belittled the
suffering of Christ and thus caused men to enact this by crucifying
themselves (whipping themselves and nailing themselves of wooden
crosses) especially in the above countries.

Let us not mock the Passion of Christ with celebrating Palm Sunday, Good
Friday or Easter (a pagan feast of birth of goddess Ashtoreth celebrated
on the same day as Resurrection Day). I am not asking you start
celebrating 'Good Thursday' but saying let us not change the facts and
belittle the Lord's suffering. He fulfilled every word of the Law as
given through Moses so that He became the complete and eternal sacrifice
for us.

The Jews crucified Christ with their wicked hands trying to suppress
Christ's truth (teachings) changing the lives of people, and we by our
falsehood are also trying to make His sacrifice void in the lives of
people. Let us remember only the Truth changes lives and only the Truth
is the solid foundation for our spiritual lives and our relationship
with the Lord.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You are a Merciful God. You Lord separated sinful man from your
presence so that he lives and does not die in your Holy presence. You
offered the life of your Son so that sinful man may be cleansed and made
holy to again dwell in your presence. Lord we pray we stop mocking this
sacrifice and belittling it by the traditions of man. We pray the Truth
of your Word be the foundation of knowing what You have done for us...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scripture]

Psalms 22

Isaiah 53

Exodus 12:1-11

Mark 14:1After two days was the feast of the Passover [week], and of
unleavened bread [week]: and the chief priests and the scribes sought
how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.

Luke 22:1Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called
the Passover [week].

Luke 22:6-7

6And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the
absence of the multitude.

7Then came [the Greek word translated 'to come' is not in past tense]
the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.

John 19:31 Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be
a special Sabbath. Because the Jewish leaders did not want the bodies
left on the crosses during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the
legs broken and the bodies taken down.
