Giving unto the Saints

2 Corinthians 9:14And by their prayer for you, which long after you for
the exceeding grace of God in you.

When the word 'Saint' is used the Catholics mostly think of a dead
person who is very holy and when one asks them the definition of the
term 'holy', they will go round in circles.

When Believers are asked the term 'Saint' they too think of those who
minister in the Lord's Kingdom but unlike the Catholic thinking they
refer to those alive not specifically those who are dead. Most consider
all Believers to be Saints. If that was true then today's message would
not make sense since it talks of giving unto a specific lot of people.
Today's message talks of giving unto the Saints and speaks of the great
power of their prayers.

The Greek word translated as Saints is 'hagios' which means 'holy'. In
Hebrew the word is 'qodesh' which means 'set apart'. When we say holy we
think of a person with a halo over their heads as depicted by the
medieval artists. The word simply means a person separated unto the
Lord. It does not need to be a person who is separated from all social
activity or society in whole living in solitude like a Hindu 'Sanyasi'
or a Jain monk. Among the Jews an equivalent to a Saint would be a Nazarene.

In the NT a Saint simply means a person who has given up one's own live,
livelihood, family etc. live a life of chastity to serve the Kingdom of
God. This person depends solely on the Lord through the support of His
people. We as Christians are called to give unto the Saints not as an
option but as a duty.

Paul was a great minister of the Lord but we do not find him addressing
himself as a Saint, also he considered himself less than the least
Saint. Even though Paul full time ministered to the people, he did
support himself and also those with him through his business of making
and selling tents showing he himself was not seeking sainthood.

We are called unto sainthood but that does not mean all are and also
even if we are, we are not called to immediately leave everything and
serve the Lord alone. Jesus waited until He was 30 to serve the Father
as a Nazarene even though He desired to do so at an early age. We may do
it at an early age if we are not married or do it at a later age after
settling our families (not after providing for their lives but after
bringing them to a stage that they can provide for themselves). In all
this we are called to not go by our desires or people's unwisely advice,
we need to be very prayerful in this matter. We all can be partly saints
by separating our lives away from worldly things like the Levites of the
OT did.

In today's message Paul highlights the importance of the Saints in the
eyes of the Lord and by providing unto them how we are blessed in
various areas of our lives.

[Prayer Starter]

Father Lord You are a Holy God, for You have separated Yourself from
darkness, You sent your Son to make us to be the light in the darkness
and overcome the darkness so that we can be in union with You. Lord we
pray Lord we learn to be holy. We pray we seek to be Saints serving unto
your Kingdom and as of now support those who have...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

You are a temple of God

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that
the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

In India one greets with the word 'Namaste', people not aware of its
meaning think it to be meaning 'welcome' or a 'hello'. The word is a
Sanskrit word and means 'the god/deity within me acknowledges the
god/deity within you'. Now one may think the greeting talks of god
dwelling within that person, but a person who understands Hindu theology
will know it is not so.

A Hindu does not seek salvation since they believe they are already
divine, they are already devas (gods) and it is their Karma (deeds) that
enable or deprives them of their divine power. Better karmas will make
them into greater devas and likewise. It is this belief that causes them
to respect people who are elder or holier than them by touching their
feet; they are acknowledging a greater god /deva.

One may find this odd but one needs to understand their concept of
calling each other god/gods. Their Bhagwan meaning 'man gods' do not
live eternal for they can die (that is why they battle /carry weapons)
and can be replaced (either by someone else or by their own avatar).
This ideology is not limited to Hinduism but even other beliefs like
that of the Egyptian, Greek and Romans.

Today's message talks of us being the temple and God dwelling within us.
It is our pagan understandings that cause us to think of physical God
(like an abstract idol) that is within us and that place where we think
it is placed is our natural hearts.

In the Bible the Temple of the Israelites was a tent which did not have
an idol of God (it was forbidden to make idols). They had objects which
were symbolic to understand God and His purpose. The main thing that
separated this tent from others was the glory of God which came when the
objects were in place. It was when the glory of God manifested in the
Temple that they all worshiped Him there.

We are called the temple of God when we have the purpose of God within
us. This place where His purpose is seated is not the natural heart but
our spiritual heart/inner-man which is made of many parts. The part in
our spiritual man where the purpose is enthroned is our will. It is when
the Will of God (symbolized by the Ark) is seated in the holiest place
within us then we see the glory of God on us.

We as Christians are all called to do the Will of God (which is the
salvation of His people) thus within us either the Will or the call to
do His Will is there, therefore we are called His temple.

As temple of God we are called to respect our bodies and also that of
other Believers (since they too hold the Will of God). When we do not
respect ourselves as holy temples, the glory of God is taken away and
thus can lead to destruction. It is very rare God Himself destroys the
temple that is only when the glory was highly manifested and yet there
was perversion within (like in the Bible He caused the enemies to do it).

Let us, especially those who have seen the glory of God understand the
risk of making our bodies an unholy place. Let us get rid of all that is
ungodly so that within us may dwell the glory of God more and more.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Holy God and You separate yourself from all that is unholy.
You God have called us whom You consider your children to be holy for
You are Holy and we are called to imitate You. You Lord are patient thus
You give us time, as far as we keep making efforts to clean our
inner-man of all its un-holiness. Lord we pray we work on all those
areas of our weakness and we do this with the help of your Spirit who is
our eternal Helper...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Worshiping goddess Diana

Acts 19:29, 30And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having
caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions in
travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre. And when Paul
would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not.

Throughout ages as God has been working on man trying to save man, there
is also a woman that has been working on man trying to destroy man.
There are times this woman has peaked in her attracting the whole of
mankind such that God needed to intervene directly to save man.

Like the time man came together to make the tower of Babel. It was not
the physical height of the tower that mattered but the reason the tower
was built that mattered to God. With the technology available then, this
tower was not even high as our normal city buildings today. Part of the
tower is existent and from its design we understand the purpose of this
tower. This tower was a temple and when it was discovered they found
many idols in it. It is believed this tower was the unification of all
false religions and the chief deity of this temple was a goddess. It was
this unification that angered God and caused confusion between them.

In the book of Jeremiah we see even after Jeremiah warned the people yet
they continued worshiping this Queen of Heaven while they continued
worshiping God. When we read about the history of the Israelites we see
there too goddesses were cause of many of their problems. Chief among
them was the goddess Ashtoreth after whom the feast of Easter is yet
celebrated by the Catholics. The season of Lent or 40days of sorrow
which the Catholics and other denomination celebrate (including some
Christians) also has its roots to do with tradition connected to a goddess.

As a Catholic I used to pray to this deity called 'Mother Mary' thinking
she was the mother of Jesus. It was only after understanding the Word I
realized it was the same power that has been pursuing the destruction of
the people of God since creation is now active as Mother Mary.

This goddess is okay with people worshipping God but wants them to
worship her too and other idols. She is so cunning that a person like
Solomon who is known for wisdom was also not saved from her trap. He
worshipped God and also worshipped this goddess.

Today among Catholics and other Christian denomination we find they
worship God, believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior and acknowledge
the Holy Spirit but do not follow Him. She is become their comforter,
intercessor /mediatrix, icon of holiness, source /mother of divine
mercy, source of joy, source of peace, leads to the truth etc...

If we look at all the titles they are all connected to the Holy Spirit
and what this goddess has done is placed herself in place of the Holy
Spirit. Jesus brings people to the flock and it is this goddess that
makes them into goats and does not let them become sheep, knowing that
the goats will see worse punishment than an unbeliever who has not
accepted Jesus Christ.

If we look at scriptures she is none other than Satan who is also known
by the word 'goat'. Scriptures says Satan is the father of lies and he
knows if he comes as he is none will follow him and his purpose to
destroy man would fail. He knows his end is definite but wants to
destroy those whom God has set to be blessed with the things he has lost.

In today's message we read about the goddess Diana. It is written about
her even though there were hundreds of other gods and goddesses
worshiped by the Greeks and Roman, all because she had taken a special
place even in the lives of those who worshiped the Lord.

Let us understand Satan will not come as Heavenly Father for we know the
Father, he will come as 'Heavenly Mother' even though in Heaven there is
no man or woman in Heaven, Jesus said in Heaven we will be like the
Angels who are neither married or given in marriage, and God made gender
for marriage and He does not do anything without purpose.

Satan knows the importance of the Holy Spirit and he being an evil
spirit does not want us to have fellowship with the Holy Spirit. He will
allow us to come to The Way but will not allow us to walk The Way which
the Holy Spirit helps us to. He does not want us to overcome and become
Sons of God.

Today I lost a dear one who was greatly anointed in the Lord and loved
God but due to lack of understanding of scriptures was under the bondage
of this goddess. She had more than 9 types of Marys which she worshipped.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are our Heavenly Father. You are called Father not because You
are man or male but as the word means You alone are Provider, Protector
and Creator. Satan knows the Truth is far from man so he deceives man
with worldly words and thoughts by become as mother. We pray Lord let
your people not be deceived by emotions but let them be led by your
Spirit and Truth...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and
her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world

The Great Salvation

Hebrews 2:3How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which
at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us
by them that heard him;

Yesterday I was preaching at a Church where my topic was the ‘Plans of
God’. It was like covering the whole Bible and understanding it in a
super short summary cover in 45 minutes.

Almost all will state Jeremiah 29:11 as‘For I know the plans I have for
you,” declares the LORD, “/plans to prosper/you and not to harm you’.

But when we actually read it we find it as ‘For I know the thoughts that
I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil,
to give you an expected end.’

The ‘expected end’ is what is called the ‘Great Salvation’. But this
does not mean all will receive it, it also does not mean God is not
capable to save or change all mankind. The Bible can be understood from
the first 4 verses of the Bible.

Genesis 1:1-4

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the
face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from
the darkness.

As per verse 1 God existed before and in stage 1 God created the
Heavenly creation and stage 2 created the earth (our creation) and while
the earth was yet not created there was darkness that came into existence.

1 John 1:5says ‘God is light, and in him is no darkness at all’, so if
God existed in beginning then where did the darkness come from?

Verse 2 answers this question. Our creation was not made so how was the
existence of ‘waters’. The word has more than one means and one of them
is ‘violence’ or ‘revolt’. We know one third of the angels led by
Lucifer (the dragon/ serpent/King of Tyrus) and the Beast (young lion
/Prince of Tyrus) revolted against the plans of God (Light) and thus
caused darkness. We see God did not destroy the darkness immediately.
The fallen angels know God has set a time when He will destroy the
darkness but before that He is not just sitting but doing something.

When God said let ‘there be light’, light already existed, when God
spoke He bought forth light in the darkness. Mankind was bought into
existence to be the light in the darkness. Then God separated the light
from the darkness and said it is good.

The Great Salvation is when God separates us from the darkness and then
sets forth the destruction of darkness.

Jesus commanded us to be the light and as written in today’s message if
we, after knowing still do not be the light then can we be saved from
the destruction of darkness.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You alone are God and there is none other than You. You existed
before time and time is a factor like distance is for us. You Lord
created the Heavens and earth for a purpose and the purpose is being
blessed in You. Lord we pray we understand the meaning and importance of
being the light as You were as Son of Man Christ Jesus. We pray we do
not fail this and be counted along with darkness that is set to be
destroyed at the end of time...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Matthew 8:28-29

28And when he was come to the other side into the country of the
Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the
tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

29And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee,
Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

Jude 1:6And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their
own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness
unto the judgment of the great day.

2 Corinthians 5:10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of
Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body,
according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Hero in your weakness

Acts 13:22And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to
be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found
David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil
all my will.

We all acknowledge heroes in the Bible for certain factors like:-

1) Abraham is the hero of faith for he demonstrated his faith with his
willingness to sacrifice his only son.

2) Paul is called the most humble man, a man who was so tremendously
blessed with knowledge and understanding and who did so much for the
Kingdom of God yet praised others.

3) And we see in today's scripture David is called the man according to
the heart of God.

Every few realize that the very thing these Men of God are synonymous
to, are the very areas of their weakness. They all struggled most in
that area and God did not pour His grace over them to overcome that area
but made them to overcome and helped them get victory over it.

Abraham struggled 25 years to understand if he follows the instructions
of God as defined then nothing can stop what God promised for the Lord
was true to His Word. He was told to not take any kin, but to take only
his wife and to go the promised land. He was promised a son which he did
not receive for 25 years because he took along Lots his nephew along
with him. Many justifications or reasons can be given for him taking
Lots with him but the moment he departed from Lots the Lord active His
promise to Abraham and in short time he received his promise.

Paul was known for his knowledge and understanding of scriptures but had
a problem in presenting them orally in person. He was a very bad orator.
This caused people to compare him to his own students and that hurt Paul
time and again. His 2 letters to the Church in Corinth projects the
battle of Paul to overcome this area. At the end we have a victorious Paul.

Coming to David who is called 'man according to the heart of God', the
book of Psalms is an album of the struggle this man had within himself.
Unlike others David had not just one test but had many. Saul was one of
his tests, a man whom he hated for Saul tried to kill him time and again
but David had to overcome his hatred for Saul and to understand the
place of Saul in the plan of God. David also struggled in other areas
like his desire for a married woman which led him to adultery and murder.

Today the Lord is telling us to look at that one area we have been
struggling and asking God time and again like Paul to give relief and
God tells us like He told Paul whatever grace He has given is
sufficient. He does not let us overcome that area with ease by His grace
but makes us struggle and have victory with the help of His Spirit and
His Word. He wants us to have victory in that area and be heroes of that

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Awesome God. You Lord designed us to overcome darkness by
your light shining within us. You Lord have called us to be overcomers;
if it is only by grace we overcome than where is the victory? You God
have given us your Spirit and your Word so that by the help of your
Spirit we overcome and have victory. We pray Lord we understand like
Paul our weakness is our strength for in the areas of our weakness we
are called to be kings...

This Prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Genesis 12:1-4

1Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from
thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make
thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:
and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

4So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with
him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

2 Corinthians 11:6But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge;
but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.

2 Corinthians 12:8-9

8For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength
is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory
in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Hebrews 11:32-34

32And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of
Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and
Samuel, and of the prophets:

33Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained
promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

34Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of
weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the
armies of the aliens.

Fellowship with the Anointing or Anointed Man of the Lord

2 Timothy 1:15This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be
turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

At times the Lord does amaze me more and more. When I got today's
message I had no idea the Lord was continuing the message on fellowship
which has been going on since a few days.

Yesterday we read about how people of Asia Minor robbed the aprons of
Paul to heal and deliver people and how Jews who did not know Christ
used the names of Christ and Paul to deliver people until one day the
demons questioned them.

In today's message we read Paul writing to Timothy who was in Asia Minor
about how all the people there (in general) had turned away from him.
They were misled due by a few individuals.

One may wonder how people who more than admired, almost worshipped Paul,
people who had so much confidence in Paul's anointing that they knew
even things connected to him would do wonders, could one day turn
against him.

When we have fellowship with a person we need to discern what part of
him or her we are having fellowship with. The people of Asia Minor did
not have fellowship with Paul but with the anointing / blessings of
Paul. They failed to see the man Paul, his weakness and his strengths.
When this happens then people have a supernatural image of the person
which can any day crack.

One thing I learned in my spiritual walk is never be ashamed to speak of
the mistakes one makes. When people are aware of your weaknesses as they
are aware of your strengths they will know you well. Their expectation
is not on you but the Lord that works through you.

When the imperfect Paul was lifted on a great pedestal it was not
surprising that someone came by and exposed one of his weaknesses and
caused the very people who lifted him up to great heights to go against
him. Paul knew the reason therefore did not break his spiritual
connection with them or condemn them. He did encourage Timothy to work
with them and to lead them.

In yesterday's message when the demons questioned the seven sons of the
chief priest the demons knew these sons did not know Christ nor knew Paul.

It is sad when we see most Evangelist making this mistake so much so
that some of them do not allow natural photos of them be realized in the
social media. Any pic that does not look good they will get them removed
from circulation; therefore appoint people to do that. Any adverse
comment against them is immediately attended to from various corners.

The Lord is telling us when we testify the Lord let us also testify our
weaknesses too so that glory is given to the Lord alone. Let us not be
superheroes in the eyes of people for one day these very people will
turn against us.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are an Awesome God and Possessive of your glory. It is not that
You do not desire anyone else to be glorified. You Lord will glorify
your Son once again at the end and You will let us too be glorified in
You when we are united in You. You Lord know anything imperfect should
not and is not worthy of glorify, thus You come hard against the
imperfect. Lord we pray we understand to differentiate between imperfect
people and the work You do through them...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

They will question 'who you are?'

Acts 19: 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and
Paul I know; but who are ye?

Today's message talks of an important incident that happened during the
times of the Apostles. This happened when Jesus has ascended, Paul was
alive and Christianity was booming.

We see vagabond Jewish exorcists, those who were homeless, so moved
around town to town and did the job of deliverance, they saw Christians
were able to deliver people from evil spirits by taking the name of
Jesus and Paul so they too started doing the same.

You will understand them taking the name of Jesus but may wonder why
Paul. If we read verse before we find these people had idolized Paul so
much that they stole his working aprons (translated as handkerchief) and
used them to heal and deliver people.

Note they did this for some time and this did work; God at times does
allow such things to happen so that He manifests the inside of a so
called Christian (Believer) if he or she is Word rooted or is a person
who only runs after signs and wonders.

While this was happening seven sons of a Jewish chief priest (one level
below the High Priest) also started imitating them and they too were
delivering people from evil spirits by taking the names of Jesus and
Paul. They did this successfully for some time until one day the evil
spirit questioned them. Now note what the evil spirit says 'Jesus I
know, and Paul I know; but who are ye'. Jesus had ascended to Heaven and
Paul was still alive and the evil spirits knew them both. They knew Paul
because Paul knew Jesus had had authority in Him. Evil spirits fear God
and Jesus His Son for they are one; Paul having known Jesus and having
fellowship with Him through His Spirit was also feared by them and they
would abide to instruction of people using their names. But one day they
questioned the people who took their name if they themselves knew Jesus
or Paul.

Spiritual fellowship is not just a social relationship or friendship
between people. Spiritual relationship binds people together
spiritually. We do not realize the power when we call an anointed Man or
Woman of God as brother or sister; we actually extend the Hand of God
that is on them unto us. Paul knew the power of this thus when he said
he handed over some of the stubborn misled Believers unto Satan; Paul
did not have an understanding with Satan to ask Satan to torment them.
Paul knew if he disconnected his fellowship / spiritual relationship
with them they would be an easy target for Satan. Paul hoped by their
suffering they would repent and turn from they ways.

We are what we are in Christ, our fellowship with Him through His Spirit
and if we do not know Christ every well then we are as per our spiritual
relationship with anointed Men and Women of God. Let us not ignore
having fellowship with each other for a bundle of sticks are stronger
than a lone stick.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty and Omnipotent God yet You Lord send your anointed
ones among your people so that they can be a blessing unto your people.
Lord we pray we understand the importance of having fellowship with
those who know You and how we are protected by this fellowship...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Acts 19:11-17

11And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

12So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or
aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went
out of them.

13Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call
over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We
adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

14And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the
priests, which did so.

15And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know;
but who are ye?

16And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame
them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house
naked and wounded.

17And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at
Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was

Deuteronomy 13:1-3

1If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth
thee a sign or a wonder,

2And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee,
saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let
us serve them;

3Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer
of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love
the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

1 Timothy 1:20among whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed
over to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

1 Corinthians 5:1,5,13

1It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and
of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans, for a man has his
father's wife.

5you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh,
so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.

13God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.”

Woman of good works

1 Timothy 5:10 and having a reputation for good works: if she has brought
up children, has shown hospitality, has washed the feet of the saints, has
cared for the afflicted, and has devoted herself to every good work.

In his letter to Corinthians we read of Paul instructing the women not to
speak (preach) but to be under the guidance of their husbands, but here in
one of his later letters we see Paul giving instructions to Timothy on
women being part of the ministry. He instructs Timothy on the criteria for
widows being part of the ministry, showing it was not the gender but the
position (relation wise and culturally) of the woman that mattered. Paul
says widow need to be not less than 60 years old and should not be married
again, she would be a woman who has bought up her children and housed
strangers (shown hospitality), she should be a woman who has washed the
feet of the saints, cared for the afflicted and devoted to good works.

Paul did not give guidance for those who are in the second ring of the
ministry, those who support the ministry or do the donkey’s work in a
ministry. Paul was giving guidance for those who are in the inner ring of
the ministry, those who preached, ministered, stood as leaders.

When it came to widows being part of the ministry Paul suggested against
including young widows but only those above 60years. 60 is not a magic
number but an age where is person is usually not interested sexual
relationships and this point he clears in the next verses where he points
to problems with younger widows as not able to control their sexual
desires. Having sexual desires is not a sin but shows immaturity in terms
of spirituality. We also need to note during the times of the Apostles the
Believer community was strong and they helped each other financially and
were like one family so there was no reason for getting married for
financial or emotional support.

We find one of the criteria pointed out by Paul was ‘washing the feet of
saints’, this was not literately meant. ‘Saints’ did not mean extra holy
people but those who dedicated their lives for the Lord’s service, they
depended on the support of the people for many of their needs and Paul said
a widow who does not have much but yet reached out to the saints in
whatever way they can, could be eligible for ministry.

As Christians let us understand the purpose of marriage, let us not make it
a contract for emotional, commercial, sexual purposes or old age insurance
like the world does. We need to understand marriage with relationship of
Christ and His Church. Can He be called a Good Shepherd if He had no sheep?
Can He be called a Savior if He has no person to save? Can He be called
Teacher if He does not have any students? Marriage without family /
children is like an empty gift box, even if it is beautifully wrapped it
fulfills no purpose, it is like Church (hall) without people. The gift
within is the importance not the wrapping, similarly children are the main
purpose of a family not the couple. God put His purpose before Himself that
is why He humbled Himself and becoming man became our sacrifice.

We also as Christians need to remember good works does not literally mean
social works. In the Bible more importance is given to work of faith than
to social work. We cannot be people doing only works of faith and not doing
social work for our faith will be hollow, or doing only social work and not
doing works of faith for that will not classify us as Christians. So both
are important, but as we grow works of faith hold higher priority for us as
Christians. This same principle we see in the criteria set for widows being
taken into ministry for if not larger, equal part of the points raised are
regarding works of faith.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You are God and Father to all that You created. You alone are also
protector and provider of all that You created. We pray Lord we understand
everything that was, is and will be is with your consent and nothing is
without You eve the strains of hair on our head is counted by You. Lord we
pray we understand the purpose more than what we see or desire in the
natural. May we be led in the spirit more than in the flesh, may we know
our weaknesses and strengths...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

1 Timothy 5:9-17

9 Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old,
having been the wife of one man,

10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if
she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have
relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

11 But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton
against Christ, they will marry;

12 Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.

13 And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house;
and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which
they ought not.

14 I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the
house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

15 For some are already turned aside after Satan.

16 If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them,
and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows

17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour,
especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

To Boast or not to Boast

2 Corinthians 10: 13But we will not boast of things without our measure,
but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to
us, a measure to reach even unto you.

In today's message we read about boasting not beyond a measure of rule,
in other translations it is written as glory beyond a sphere. So the
question is; is pride allowed if it is controlled?

We all know pride was one of the main highlights of evil that bought an
anointed cherub like Lucifer down. What we do not give attention to is
that pride came after greed; after he gathered the precious things of
Heaven unto himself he starting having pride in himself. So his pride
was not on worldly things but good things that were Heavenly.

There is a thin line between self-respect and pride. If one does Bible
Image Study (how God created all things) one can study pride by studying
the puffer fish. This fish is very poisonous second to the dart frog. It
uses its ability to look very large by expanding itself to defend itself.

What Paul is speaking of in today's message as boasting within a measure
is self-respect and not pride, although both involve acknowledging and
even displaying unto others what one has but the difference lies is in
boasting what one has and what one does not have or is not his or hers.

Every Christian should boast if we do not boast we will not be able to
be witness, but what matters is what we boast about. We as Christian
should know the value of things and who holds credit to it i.e. if we do
not boast about the blessings which the Lord has showered upon us then
can we witness Him? If we do not boast about the works the Lord has done
due to the faith we hold then can we say faith works?

It is only when we boast of things that are not ours or take credit for
things which are not rightfully ours that is when we cross the line and
move into pride territory. Let us like Paul says in today's message know
the measure of rule and boast within the measure of rule. Let us give to
God what is due unto to God, give others what is due unto others and to
our self what is due unto us. Let is witness our God is alive, He works,
His principles work and what He created also does work.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty and Living God, You do wonders Lord, and the
things You created are wonderful. You Lord, created man above all the
things of this world, for You created Him alone in your image. Lord we
pray we witness unto others the wonders of your creation and the wonders
of your works. Help us to discern the limits of boasting and not make
the mistake of taking glory for things that is due unto You or others
and adding things which are not...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Matthew 6:2When therefore thou doest alms, sound not a trumpet before
thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that
they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have received
their reward.

Matthew 16:27For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father
with his angels; and then shall he render unto every man according to
his deeds.

John 2:3-5,11

3And when the wine failed, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have
no wine.

4And Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour
is not yet come.

5His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

11This beginning of his signs did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and
manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

Colossians 3:4When Christ, who is our life, shall be manifested, then
shall ye also with him be manifested in glory.

1 Thessalonians 2:5-6

5For neither at any time were we found using words of flattery, as ye
know, nor a cloak of covetousness, God is witness;

6nor seeking glory of men, neither from you nor from others, when we
might have claimed authority as apostles of Christ.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Which Jesus?

Colossians 4:11And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the
circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God,
which have been a comfort unto me.

In the New Testament not all are aware there are 2 Jesus' mentioned
[leaving aside the one mentioned in the Apocrypha] one Jesus we all know
and then there is this Jesus who is nicknamed Justus and he too was a
Jew. He was a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ and was a co-worker with
Paul in the Lord's Kingdom.

No doubt the person Jesus is the most known person across the world and
across time since 2000 years, yet even today not many people actually
know Him.

The Jews know a Jesus who they state was a false prophet and thus
justify His crucifixion. They believe He is in Hell being tortured in a
pot of boiling oil.

The Muslims know a Jesus whom they call a prophet and some say if a
Muslim does not respect / love Jesus then he or she is not a Muslim. But
interestingly they consider Him a prophet without standing and just a
title. A Prophet is a spokesperson of God and when we relate this in
their religion Muhammad is their only prophet who exists since no other
'prophet' has any say in their belief. No other prophet has any
communication from their Allah to them, even if there are a few verses
where they say something then too we see Muhammad overwrites them and
changes their communication making them to be a misguided or false
prophet. Jesus or Isa of the Quran too falls in this category. So when
they state Jesus as a prophet then we need to ask them in what way?

The Catholics have a Jesus whom they call Son of God yet they set a
woman over Him. Bible says 'unto us (plural) a child is born' and 'unto
us a Son is given'. It does not say 'a son is born' since He existed
since eternity. The Catholics undermine the Lord Jesus Christ and His
sacrifice and put the woman whom they call Mary as more important person
who complements Jesus and thus enables us to receive salvation, through
Him but only via her. She indirectly replaces the Holy Spirit (the
Spirit of the Son) in the Bible.

We have other Christian cults like Jehovah's Witnesses who do call Jesus
Son of God but fail to call Him God but put Him to the status of an Arch
Angel. Then there are others who have more vague understandings of the
Lord Jesus Christ.

When it comes to Christian Believers there too is not a very clear
understanding of who He is. No doubt they consider Him God, Son of God,
Christ and also Son of Man, but the problem with most is their failure
to understand how one relates to another and the transition in between.
This failure has caused Christianity to import an understanding called
'Trinity' from pagan religions and apply to the deity of the Godhead
(Lord Jesus Christ). What they state in the understanding is not fully
wrong but yet it falls short of completely understanding the God head /
Lord Jesus Christ.

Today the Lord is telling us there will be a time where our
understanding of Him will be challenged and at that time will we be able
to stand that test?

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You alone are God and there is no other God besides You. Yet Lord
You come unto us a Father, Son and Spirit and each being complete as
God. Lord Jesus You are Son of Man, Son of God and also God for You said
You are the I AM / YHWH of the OT. Lord we pray more and more know You
better and thus have power and authority in You for in knowing You, your
Name there is power...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Isaiah 9:6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the
government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace.

Matthew 1:23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth
a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted
is, God with us.

Mark 9:9And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that
they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man
were risen from the dead.

John 5:26-27

26For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to
have life in himself;

27And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is
the Son of man.

Revelation 1:13And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto
the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about
the paps with a golden girdle.

Revelation 14:14And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the
cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden
crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

Matthew 8:29And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with
thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before
the time?

Mark 1:1The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

John 8:58Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before
Abraham was, I am.

Mind your language

Ephesians 4:29Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth,
but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister
grace unto the hearers.

Just yesterday I had a neighbor who is a devote Hindu and always fasting
one day or other for various gods or goddesses, her sister who does not
stay with her called me. She asked me to pray for her sister since they
had seen someone from their house had got instantly healed after being
prayed over.

Before I went I asked the Lord and the Lord gave me a message, so I knew
where to attend in her life. As I shared sharing with her she opened her
mouth and confessed how she cursed herself every time she felt helpless.
She was having stomach problem and was under treatment since more than 6
months. She has gone to every top gastroenterologist in Mumbai. They
concluded her problem was not controllable and may or may not heal. I
was ministering to her about loving oneself and respecting what God has
created and set, getting her to repent of being an enemy to her own
body, while speaking to her she suddenly got an urge to eat and finished
a whole bowl of soup not leaving a drop. I asked her did I need to pray
over her and she looked at me, for she knew the work had started.

Our words are like flowers, we may mindlessly speak them often but the
moment we meditate or give thought conscious or unconsciously to the
words we speak we pollinate the flower and then it starts to bear fruit.
Depending on the flower the fruit will be. If we speak good things the
fruit will be good and if we speak wrong things then the fruit will be
like poison which will bring death and destruction, many a times after a
long period of time.

Speaking good things does not mean speaking exaggerated things. Faith
does not mean believing anything but means believing the Truth / that
which does not change / which is the Word of God. If we speak things
that are in line with the Word of God we will see blessing manifest in
our lives. But if we speak things that are contrary (more or against) to
the Word / Truth then we will see just the opposite; we shut the door of
blessings and may open the door of curses. If we read Deuteronomy we
will get a part of the list of blessings and curses we open our lives to.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Truth, You and your Word does not change. When we believe
in You and Your Word we too are like rooted on a solid rock that does
not let us be affected by the surrounding. We pray Lord we understand
the risk of speaking vain words even when they are not said with
seriousness. Let us know the risk of every word we speak contrary to the
Truth and how they can corrupt us from within...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Ephesians 4:23-29

23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in
righteousness and true holiness.

25Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his
neighbour: for we are members one of another.

26Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

27Neither give place to the devil.

28Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working
with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him
that needeth.

29Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which
is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Proverbs 18:21Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they
that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Father and Son

Luke 20: 42, 43And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD
said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies
thy footstool.

Today's scripture touches an area which has caused division among
Christians and this area is of utmost importance since it is
foundational to the belief, the area of the relationship or existence of
the Father, Son and Spirit.

What is interesting is that most do not have a clear understanding of
this matter for all have a limited knowledge of who God is but yet this
matter of understanding is foundational. We need to understand there are
some basic facts of the understanding which cannot be denied and denying
any one of them causes us to cross the border line unto sacrilege.

God is one and He created all that is created

Yet there exist God the Heavenly Father, God the Son and God the Spirit

The Son is not a created being but existed from the beginning and is God

The Son humbled and became man to become a sacrifice on our behalf thus
He became our Savior and the Way to the Father

The Son gave us His Spirit who leads us on the Way to Heaven

The Son who became man and died for us, resurrected and ascended to
Heaven, He will come again to take us to the Heavenly Father

This is the basic belief of being Christian and any deviation on this is
called heresy. Now there are lots of areas which are still hidden to man
like understanding of things before, in between and beyond this
foundational understanding, since these facts speak of a series of events.

In today's message we read the Lord telling our Lord to be seated on the
right hand and on read this most have a pic of God the Father as man
(old man) telling the Son (young man) to be seated on a throne placed on
the right side.

God is Spirit and not a man and so also the Son is Spirit for He too is
God. The Son became man Jesus but after He finishes His work and returns
us to the Father, will He still continue to be man? He humbled Himself
for the cause and after the cause is fulfilled would He continue to be
humbled? In the Gospel of John Jesus says He awaits to return to the
Father and regain the glory He had in the beginning of this creation.
Yet we see most illustrate a picture of a man (Jesus) with an earthly
crown and earthly robes seated on an earthly throne in Heaven. Some
cause the throne to float on earthly clouds and others put it in an
earthly palace made of marble or gold making Heaven into a small earthly

Man cannot comprehend what Heaven is and what it is made of. Though the
Bible tries to describe it to us with symbolism of earthly material or
objects, yet it is only the Spirit of God that can enable us to even
have a glimpse of the real Spirit world.

Jesus said it is only the Lord (Holy Spirit) who can reveal these unto
us, that is if we surrender our understanding and limited mind unto Him.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You alone are God and You are Spirit. Lord we pray we first learn
to understand things of the spirit and then try to illustrate things. We
pray we do not belittle the Heaven or even You to the level of earthly
things but understand the things visible are made to understand the
things not visible...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

How people see you

2 Timothy 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many
witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to
teach others also.

Yesterday I was at a funeral of someone very dear to me. She was mother
in law of a very close brother in Christ. The family is like my own
family. This sister was almost 85 years old and had gone through medical
attacks like cancer, heart attack and many others but she defeated them
all and still continued her life. She was always a support to us in our
ministry even though she did nothing much. Her presence, smile, support
and prayers were sufficient to drive us. The medical problems for which
she was admitted were all cleared yet she gave up her spirit. She
testified even on her death that it was not the sickness that defeated
her. Her life is a testimony for those who did lot but are little
visible to public. Those to whom her work was visible were there to bury
her remains and salute her.

As a Teacher I teach people the Word and about the Kingdom of God. As an
Apologist I confront the understandings of those who attack the Truth.
My forte is Catholicism (since I was one before), Islam and now Hinduism
(which I am learning) so I am always found spiritually shaking those who
are religious from among these. The victims of these beliefs I do not
confront (like those born in them or deceived by others) but only those
who promote it (like Jesus confronted the Pharisees and Sadducees but
not the normal Jews). The one lot with whom that I have the most
confrontation with are the heretics who twist and turn the Truth for
carnal reason reasons.

I debate with Muslims and Hindus but the people who hate me the most are
the Catholics and more than the Catholics are the heretics, those who
know God, know Christ and still manipulate these are the people with the
least moral, there is no level low enough that they will not fall to.
Yesterday I met one such person and was surprised to hear from him the
way he saw me. Even though I am a person totally against physical
violence yet he saw me as a person promoting violence against other
people. My spiritual confrontation was so violent to him that it
manifested in the physical, no wonder he exits from any group I am in or
talks of guns and weapons when he meets me. Yesterday due to the
circumstances I managed to get to have a few words with him but then he
again fled after talking to me for that short time.

In today’s message we see Paul who knows he nears the end of his journey
of life writes to Timothy about how people see him. He says ‘many’ among
the believers acknowledge his good work but does not say ‘all’. Jesus
said woe unto us if we are loved by all men for if we do not confront
people then we are not Christians, people of God, people of light.

We as Christians will be loved and hated; neither just loved nor just
hated. If we are not loved by any then there is a big problem so also if
none hate us then too there is a problem. So those who are hated by most
and do not have close loved ones have to wake up as to what they are
doing, so also all those who are loved by all, including the enemies of
the Cross need to open their eyes as to what they are doing.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are God and Light. You created us to be light in the darkness.
You created us to shine your light to those who oppose You and those who
do not know You. Lord we pray we realize we will be hated by those who
oppose You for they hate You first. Those who are carnal, of this world
and enemies of the Cross will battle us with all they have but then we
are not called to be disheartened but continue the spiritual battle will
all that we have. We pray Lord for strength and courage...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Matthew 23:27Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are
like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but
are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.

Luke 6:26Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did
their fathers to the false prophets.

John 15:18-25

18If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

19If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye
are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore
the world hateth you.

20Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater
than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you;
if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

21But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because
they know not him that sent me.

22If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now
they have no cloke for their sin.

23He that hateth me hateth my Father also.

24If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they
had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my

25But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is
written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

He became our Brother

Hebrew 2:11, 12 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified
are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the
church will I sing praise unto thee.

We need to understand the meaning of words especially when we use them
as relationships in our belief or faith i.e. I can be well acquainted to
a family member with regards to certain matters but then I cannot call
the family member an acquaintance. Similarly I can be friendly with my
wife or mother or father but then can I call them a friend?

We need to understand relationships before give names to our
relationship with people connected to us. We cannot call our mother as
father or our father as mother similarly call a brother as sister or
sister as brother, or call a brother or sister a cousin but the opposite
we may.

Being friendly and being a friend are two different things. A friend is
person who is not a blood relation but with whom we have a social
relationship. We can be friendly with our mother or father, brother or
sister but when we call them a friend then we break the blood
relationship between us and them. We make friends, but blood
relationships are not made by us we are born into them. Friendships can
be broken when the friendly relationship goes sour but we cannot do the
same to blood relationships. Family relationships may go sour or even
worse but yet we are family. We have seen in the world the worst enemies
are mostly people who were once very good friends.

When I was studying on this relationship the Lord made me understand it
by understanding dogs whom we call man's 'best friend'. I love dogs and
find them as very faithful animals but while I was studying this
relationship in those few days I was shown a face of them which I had
not seen all through my life, I was wondering why so many crazy things I
was seeing of this animal in a short period of time. These may be one of
incidents that happen rarely but when they happen day after day shakes
you, like a coordinated vicious attack of a gang of dogs on another
helpless dog right before your eyes (these were not insane dogs but
regular street dogs who suddenly attack with intention to kill),
cannibalism by a mother dog and its puppies, domesticated house dog
suddenly attacks and kills his master, street dogs attacking a small
innocent child tearing and eating its flesh while it is still alive etc.
and then the Lord opened my mind to what friendship is.

Bible says God chose us even before we were born and He called us by our
names. We did not make our relationship with Him we only acknowledge it,
nor is it by our doings that we sustain it. Even when we give up on Him,
He does not forsake us.

In the Bible words are mistranslated as friend like the relationship
between God and Abraham or between Christ and us. The Hebrew word for
friend is rea' and in 2 Chronicles 20:7 the Lord did not called Abraham
rea' but called him 'ahab which means love [James 2:23was referring to
this scripture]. We are called the Lord's Bride because we are children
of Abraham part of his inheritance.

Similarly in Greek the word 'Philo' means a friend and also an
associate. In John 15 Jesus called us associates for He involves us into
His Father's business. A friend is not a person whom we tell our
business secrets, we may do that to a chosen few but not to all so it is
not relationship based but person based. When it is family business
(father's Business) a brother by default becomes your associate but your
friend does not. We also see Jesus uses the word 'servants' as opposite
to an associate who is co-owner, servant is not the opposite of a friend
but enemy is. When we do the Lord's work we are doing the Family work
wherein along with the Family we too profit the more we do the work,
also by doing Family work we do not do a favor to anyone, we do our duty
and benefit ourselves.

Let us understand our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ who is
God, who humbled Himself became man and became our brethren so that we
may inherit of the Heavenly Father.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty God and Creator or all beings. Lord when man
sinned a part of You became man and one among us, You Lord called us
your brethren so that we may inherit the riches of our Heavenly Father.
Lord we pray we understand who we are and what it means to be part of
the Heavenly Family. May we also understand the importance of doing the
Family business...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

2 Chronicles 20:7Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the
inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the
seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

James 2:23And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed
God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called
the Friend of God.

John 15:12-17

12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for
his friends.

14Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

15Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what
his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I
have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

16Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that
ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain:
that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

17These things I command you, that ye love one another.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Where does God dwell?

John 1:38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto
them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being
interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

Bible states since the time of Enos man has been seeking God. The word
Enos means mortal. When man saw death in the face man knew that earthly
life was not eternal and had an end so man started seeking God.

We see people state God dwells on mountains so many climbed mountains to
seek Him, others stated He could be found under large trees so sat under
them to seek Him but none of them found Him and they land up saying He
is within.

We see in today's message Andrew the brother of Simon who was called
Peter (Cephas) and another asked Jesus where He dwelled and Jesus took
them with Him to show Him where He dwelled. Jesus as man dwelled in a
physical house but today if we were to ask God where He dwells what
would He say.

I have seen many people when they pray they say 'let us welcome God
amongst our midst' or ''now God is present here', as if before that God
was not there. We read in the Bible the Psalmist David wrote there is no
where he can hide from the Lord; even if He went to Hell there too he
could not hide from Him for God is also present there.

Our God is God and He is omnipresent that means there is no place He is
not there and there is no time He is not there, for Him our past,
present and future is visible instantly at the same moment, yet we seek
Him since we do not experience His presence.

God is Spirit and we being natural beings cannot see or experience a
spirit unless we activate our spiritual sense or if the spirit being
manifests in the natural. When God's presence manifests in the natural
we call it as the glory of God. So what we seek is God's glory or
sharpening of our spiritual sense so as to experience the presence of
God. When we say God dwells in a place it means His glory is manifested
in that place. The upper Heavens is the place where the glory of God is
manifested the most that is why it is called the Throne of God even
though He is not man to be seated on a chair.

When we claim God dwells in us then there should be a manifestation of
His glory in us. If we live a worldly life or a life of sin then how can
the glory of God be seen? We do not need to be perfect to experience the
glory of God, what we need to do is just open up for Him to change us
and we will start experiencing His glory. God is equated to Light and
when we measure light we measure the intensity of the light, but even if
the intensity is low yet we call the place as lit up for no place is
full of light and even though such a place exist we will not be able to
see it while in the natural.

Today God is telling us if we want to seek Him there is no place where
He is not found. Even if we are living a deep sinful life yet He is at
hand since no darkness is dark enough for His light to not shine through
it, yes we may not experience Him or His glory unless we open the door
for Him. If we want to experience more and more of Him then all we need
to do is live our lives according to Him for when we align ourselves to
the light, it shines brighter in us.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are an Omnipotent and Omnipresent God. There is nothing You
cannot do and there is no place that You are not there. Lord we pray we
understand when we seek You what we seek is your glory, and that is
visible when we overcome the flesh / carnal self and live a life
according to You. We pray we change so that not only we experience You
but that others will see your light shine in us and thus know You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

To Keep or Not to Keep

1 Corinthians 5:9, 10 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with
fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or
with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye
needs go out of the world.

When one debates with Muslim Dawahs they will state that Christianity as
we know today was founded by Paul and not Jesus. When one counter
questions them, they will point to theological differences (as per their
understanding) like we have in today's message.

Jesus always reached out to the sinners; He said the healthy do not need
a doctor but the sick do, He came not for the righteous but the
unrighteous but here we see Paul says not to keep company with
fornicators, covetous, extortioners, idolaters etc. so did Paul
contradict the teachings of Jesus?

Paul did say not to keep company with fornicators, covetous,
extortioners, idolaters etc. and he was specific to which type of
sinners. Paul did not mean all those who sinned but very specific type
of sinners. In the very next verse Paul clarifies the people whom he
asked to keep distance from and not have fellowship with. In verse 11
onwards we see Paul specifies those who know the truth and yet chose to
live a life of sin are the ones we need to keep away from and not
fellowship. It does not mean any or every kind of sin, for we all sin
even after we know Christ. Paul specified the kind of sin as those which
involve harming others (naturally and spiritually), hurting God (by
idolatry) or His Name (misrepresenting Him).

God understands our weakness and being a God who is slow to anger, long
suffering, patient He does give us time to overcome, but when we testify
to the world we are His people but do not live up to His Name then He
does get angry. Paul says those who do not know Him are not the people
we judge or discern, but those who know Him, like those who have seen
His glory, yet fall and choose to live a life of sin are the ones we
need to discern or not have fellowship with. It also does not mean we
immediately disconnect from a Believer who falls into sin against
another or hurting the Name of the Lord. We are called to correct him or
her before taking the drastic decision. We are called to privately
minister to that person, if they do not listen then minister to them
along with a brethren, if they still do not listen then take them to the
Church elder and if they yet do not change their ways then we are called
to disconnect fellowship with them (treat them as a publican - worldly

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are a Holy God and You have asked us your children to live a
life of holiness. You Lord lift your Name above all things and anyone
who lets your Name down angers You. Lord let us understand when we
witness to the world we are your people we need to keep your Name lifted
up. Help us Lord do this and also expose those who deceive the world
saying they are of You but are not...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

1 Corinthians 5:11-13

11But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that
is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a
railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

12For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye
judge them that are within?

13But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among
yourselves that wicked person.

Mark 2:17When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole
have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to
call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Psalms 23:3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of
righteousness for his name's sake.

Matthew 18:15-17

15Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him
his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast
gained thy brother.

16But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more,
that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

17And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if
he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man
and a publican.

James 5:19-20

19Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Servant of God

Colossians 4:12, 13 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ,
saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may
stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. For I bear him
record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in
Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.

We all acknowledge Paul as a great servant of God but Paul without those
around him may not have achieved even 25% of what he did. When we
acknowledge the works of Paul we actually acknowledge the efforts of a
team that worked with Paul and not the man alone.

In today's message we read about Epaphras who was from Colosse he did
not just work with Paul in Colosse but was also with Paul when Paul was
under house arrest in Rome. We see Paul salutes this servant of God for
his zeal, perseverance and prayerfulness. He was a man with
determination to achieve something and a man who took risks.

Today we find most people who call themselves servants of God but they
do nothing more than pray. Prayer is very important but just praying is
not we are called to do. The first word of the mission the Lord has
given has the word 'go', if we just sit and pray we fail the mission.

When God created the world He had a vision so we too should have a
vision of what we are trying to achieve. We need to then work towards
achieving this vision with determination and zeal.

Let us not be namesake servants of God but let us be like Epaphras who
was saluted but a man whom the world salutes.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty, Omnipotent God there is nothing that is
impossible for You but yet You do all things will patience, wisdom and
purpose and your Word says your purpose is good. Lord we pray we who are
called to imitate You may set ourselves a vision of what You have called
us unto. We pray that we work to achieve this vision with zeal,
perseverance and without fear of man or our lives...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Mark 16:15-16

15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel
to every creature.

16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that
believeth not shall be damned.

Ephesians 6:14-18

14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having
on the breastplate of righteousness;

15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to
quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which
is the word of God:

18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and
watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

2 Corinthians 1:6-7

6And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation,
which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also
suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and

7And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of
the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

Violence vs Peace

Romans 3: 16, 17 Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way
of peace have they not known:

We are well versed with the sayings violence breeds violence, hatred
breeds hatred and only love breeds love. These are worldly sayings and
they are true when we work in the natural / carnal nature.

Today message talks of people who operate in their carnal nature, they
do not know the ways of peace for them violence has to be answered with
more violence and misery should be answered with more misery. If we all
do that what will be the result? There is another saying eye for and eye
will turn the whole world blind.

We as Christians are called to answer violence, hatred, anger will love,
compassion and patience. We do this for we know one thing, when we
rebelled with God by sinning against Him, He did not reciprocate by
destroying us immediately, He showed love, compassion and patience
towards us.

Many Christians have the wrong understanding that when someone does
wrong against us we are called to simply pray for them. Bible says we
are called to reciprocate, but not with violence but will love /with
good. Praying is necessary but we are not called just to pray, we are
called to 'show' love. Paul says when nothing is possible then one of
the last options is pray for them.

The world does not know God for they do not see God in us. Let us
demonstrate God in our lives and if God is in our lives we need to be
people in peace. Where God is there is peace.

Psalms 85:10 is one of the most important verses in the Bible which
speaks of the two Siamese twins Mercy and Truth, Righteousness and
Peace. Hold on to one and receive the other.

Mercy is not something we can demand of God but if we hold on to His
Truth we automatically get hold of mercy / grace. The same is with
righteousness and peace. If we want peace we need to hold on to His
righteousness, which means we need to walk in the ways of the Lord. If
we do violence for violence then can we be walking in His ways?

Because He showered His love and mercy on us even when we were still
enemies against Him, let us too shower love and mercy on those who hate
us so that we receive His peace and they know the Lord in us.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are God and You are Love. No man knew love until You manifested
true love as man Jesus. Lord You are Mercy and true mercy comes only
from You. Lord You are peace and it is only in You that we receive true
peace. Lord we pray we seek You and imitate You to receive true love,
true mercy and true peace...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Psalms 85:10Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace
have kissed each other.

James 3:18And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that
make peace.

Matthew 5:43-48

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour,
and hate thine enemy.

44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do
good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use
you, and persecute you;

45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he
maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on
the just and on the unjust.

46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even
the publicans the same?

47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do
not even the publicans so?

48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is

Romans 12:18-21

18If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto
wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him
drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Importance of Gift of Tongues

Acts 10:46,47 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.
Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be
baptized, which have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?

There is always this debate of Tongues and the cause of this is mainly
because Jesus did not speak in Tongues. If a person really understands
Tongues then they will know why Jesus never needed to speak in Tongues.
We need it but the day we reach the level of spiritual maturity which
Jesus as man was then we too would not need. Similar is the case of
singing and worshiping God. We see Jesus and His disciples only once did
sing and worship that too only a few lines just before He went to the
Garden of Gethsemane before His crucifixion.

Tongues is a gift of the Holy Spirit and Bible says if we pray and ask
the Holy Spirit of any of the Gifts i.e. wisdom, word of knowledge etc.
He will be most pleased to give us. Lack of knowledge on Tongues has
cause people to have some real crazy misconceptions of it and one can
see this in an old English movie called '5th Element'.

In the Bible we see Baptism of the Holy Spirit was mostly manifested
with the Gift of Tongues. I too received the Gift of Tongues the day I
surrendered to the Holy Spirit. That does not mean a person who does not
speak in Tongues is not Baptized in the Spirit. Baptism of the Holy
Spirit always manifests with a Gift of the Holy Spirit and usually is
Wisdom (of the Word) and Tongues, there can be others also.

In today's message we see as Peter was preaching on remission of sins
and they received the Gift of Tongues from the Holy Spirit that is why
Peter found it logical for them to publically declare their baptism in
the Lord Jesus Christ by Water baptism.

One another major misconception of Tongues is that people think it is a
dialect or language like other human languages so has a vocabulary, this
causes people not gifted with Tongues to imitate by speaking words
considered as 'Tongues' language. I have seen Preachers train people to
speak in 'Tongues'!

If we read at Pentecost there were 120 in the upper room of a house and
thousands gathered around that house and it is written the people
outside heard 'them' (collectively) speaking in their own individual
native languages.

Tongues has nothing to do with the nonsensical sound / words that people
make. Tongues is when the Spirit communicates, the natural nonsensical
words that manifests helps in suppressing the natural being / the
natural mind and enables the spiritual person to take over. God helps us
understand Tongues by understanding the dove [Noah sent a dove even
though a raven was at the job].

When we pray in spirit we usually do so via our thoughts and our
natural/carnal mind does intervene and thus does not allow our spirits
to freely communicate, but when we pray in Tongues our natural mind does
not function and thus allows our spirits to freely communicate. This is
the reason the Holy Spirit usually gifts the Gift of Tongues and Gift of
Wisdom during baptism in the Spirit so that the doors of communication
open and also true understanding the Word begins. Some may only receive
the Gift of Wisdom but as they surrender more to the Spirit they receive
the Gift of Tongues.

Tongues is for personal communication with the Holy Spirit thus not
advised for a congregation. Interpretation of Tongues allows another
person to know what our spirit is speaking. The person does not need to
be in audible range of the other person praying. There are various types
of Tongues that does not mean various types of spiritual languages.
Angelic Tongues is unlike human Tongues since the way we communicate in
spirit v/s them does vary. Those who have experience both will know.

Today God is telling those who do not have the Gift of Tongues to pray
and ask the Holy Spirit and He will give it to them. It pleases Him that
we communicate with Him in spirit.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Spirit and the Heavens are a Spirit place. Lord Your Word
says we need to be born again in spirit to enter your Kingdom. We pray
Lord we learn to overcome our natural being especially our natural mind
and let our spirits overtake. Help us understand the Gift of Tongues and
grow in it...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Acts 10:42-48

42And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it
is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

43To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever
believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

44While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them
which heard the word.

45And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many
as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the
gift of the Holy Ghost.

46For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered

47Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which
have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

48And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then
prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Acts 2:2-6

2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty
wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat
upon each of them.

4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with
other tongues [not plural], as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every
nation under heaven.

6Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were
confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

1 Corinthians 13:1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,
and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

1 Corinthians 12:8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom;
to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

James 1:5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to
all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

All will be judged

2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same
word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment
and perdition of ungodly men.

Simon the son of Jonah was time and again ridiculed for his foolishness
so much that the nickname Cephas / Peter which means stone/ pebble
(symbolizing man of little knowledge) got stuck to him. But we see even
in this man of many mistakes, God did work great sparks of revelation
and power. Even the great Paul who was well known for his knowledge and
understanding of scriptures hardly touched the topic which we read today
from the second letter of Peter (Jude too touched this topic).

Bible says every knee in Heaven (Angels), earth (our creation) and those
below (Hell) will bow at the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. All
think that God [Son] will sit on a throne and all mankind will bow its
knee, they are mistaken. When it is written Jesus or Christ it means the
Lord still as man or Son of Man.

When a third of the Angels led by Satan (plural – Dragon and Beast /
Serpent and Young Lion / King and Prince of Tyrus) rebelled against the
plans of God and bough darkness, God created man to be the light to
overcome this darkness. Man who is the least of the Heavenly beings (God
used the term 'worm' for man not to degrade man but to let us know who
we are) and God takes this little being to work in and work through to
bring correction to the whole Heavens.

We should realize our battle is not against man but against the fallen
angels (darkness) and this battle we cannot fight unless we overcome our
own selves. We should remember we cannot do it as an individual but can
only do it collectively thus we need to reach out of each and every soul
listed in the Book of Life. It is collectively effort under the
leadership of the Son of Man Lord Jesus Christ that we overcome the
fallen angels.

Evangelism is not a choice but a necessity because we are unable to know
who has and who does not have the seed of faith within them therefore we
are called to water everyone with the Gospel of hope in Jesus Christ.
Those who have the seed within them will hear His voice and return to
Him to be counted amongst us on Judgment Day.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Awesome God. It was nothing for You to just crush the
angels that left their position by rebelling against your plans, You
Lord chose to make a spectacle of them by making a little being called
man to bring these being to their knees. You Lord became man to lead us
unto this battle which the angels did not even dream of. We thank You
Lord for making us and using us for this mighty work and thus blessing
us with the unimaginable things of Heaven...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

1 Corinthians 6:3Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more
things that pertain to this life?

2 Peter 2:4For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them
down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved
unto judgment;

Jude 1:6And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their
own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness
unto the judgment of the great day.

Philippians 2:10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of
things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

John 5:27And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because
he is the Son of man.

Revelation 1:5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and
the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the
earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

Ezekiel 28:8-10

8They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of
them that are slain in the midst of the seas.

9Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou
shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.

10Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of
strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

mportance of documentation

2 Timothy 4:13 The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou
comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.

When Jesus was confronted He used the words 'it is written'.

Documentation is a very important aspect of any belief. A belief without
proper documentation is all messed up and no one will know the head from
the tail. We see God has always inspired those He spoke to, to write
what He spoke or what happened and hand these to the coming generations.

Today leaving for Christianity no other belief has proper documentation
of their belief. Our belief roots from the beginning of creation since
our God started created all things but our documents are just 3400 years
old (even older for the oldest book is the book of Job which was before
Moses) .We may not have the originals but our copies are very ancient
with many dated near to the original date. Yes our copies do have plenty
of errs but the large number of handwritten copies helps us confirm the
text we hold today is as of the original. Till date we have found no err
which affects our foundation belief, 98 percent of the errors are either
grammatical or spelling mistakes.

We do not have texts of just those who followed the belief but even the
texts of the secular writers and including those who hated us help us to
confirm the incidents mentioned in our Bible as true. Leaving aside the
texts, we also have plenty archaeological objects found of the various
eras as per the Bible. We also can also scientifically confirm the
correctness of scriptures as our technologies advance to understand that
which is hidden. Leaving aside all these our scriptures are filled with
thousands of prophecies and history confirms those mentioned have come
to past as written. So in every angle we can prove the authenticity of
our scriptures and above all that they are a divine aspect to them.

Take any other belief and we see they fail in very angel. Let us look at
Islam which is the second largest belief and their Quran, they have time
and again manipulated their books destroying the oldest ones themselves.
During the time of their prophet they were forbidden to write the verses
what their prophet spoke since they had to memorize them and if they
failed or if they cheated and wrote them, they were ridiculed
publically. Some people sold chits of these written verses on the sly.
Later after their prophet died they were in a dilemma since they could
hardly put forth all what their prophet had said. They authorized a
person to note all the verses (ayahs) from the memories of people and
even collect the chits which the forgetful wrote on. This collection was
also later destroyed for there were thousands of verses and over 75
versions of the collections; so the caliph Uthman ibn Affan did the
canonizing (official documentation) of the Quran by collecting all the
copies in a deceitful way and destroying them all after keeping only 20
percent of the ayahs, calling them as authentic. This one collection he
got four persons to hand-copy them and send to different places. Today
even these are not available and have varying versions of them. It is
only in the 1900s that the modern Quran which is read widely was
standardized in Saudi Arabia. The oldest manuscripts of the Quran are
called the 'Sanna' text and it was found that these parchments were
reused by washing the original text. Similar is stories of the texts of
other beliefs.

Let us as Christians understand the importance of the Bible. If it is
not for the Word of God we are without any foundation. Tradition have
changed and been adulterated over years but what is written stood the
test of time and generations even through the dark ages. Many gave their
lives to preserve them, so let us value them and have them embedded in
our hearts by the Finger of God (Spirit of God).

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You are Almighty, Omnipresent and All Knowing God. You Lord knew
how deceitful and evil man would be so You had every Word that was
required for the Salvation of man to be written and preserved. Lord we
pray we give importance to your written Word and have the same written
in our hearts...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses, an altar of

Resurrection from the dead

Acts 4:2,3Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached
through Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on
them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

Resurrection is one fact on which the whole of Christianity is based on.
If Jesus had not resurrected then there would not have been any
existence of Christianity, He would have been another god-man in history
and his disciples would have been regular people carrying His story, but
His resurrection changed everything. His disciples came back and they
witnessed Him fearlessly even under the threat of persecution and death.

Resurrection being so important yet is least understood. Today you ask
Christians what is resurrection and they will say 'dead coming to life'.
If you cross question them they show total confusion. If our spirit does
not die then how can it be raised to life? Then some may say it is about
the body, the body comes to life, which is wrong since our body perishes
in the dust and even if we receive a new body (as many believe) yet it
cannot be termed resurrection. Jesus was the only one whose flesh did
not perish (it disappeared from the tomb) since His body had not seen
corruption (He was sinless) and this was fulfillment of a prophecy
(Psalms 16:9-10).

It is only when we understand spirit life and Heaven, will we understand
resurrection and eternal life. Only God (and the Son) has life within
Himself to live eternally (John 5:26). But we can live eternally even
though we do not have eternal life within us only if we dwell in Heaven
via the Tree of Life. When we say Heaven we normally refer to the upper
Heavens where the glory of God is great. The level we dwell in and its
lower levels i.e.Grave and Hell are called the lower Heavens. God is
everywhere since He is omnipresent but His glory varies accord to the
level. In the Bible at right hand (righteousness side) or to the west
means near to His glory or upper level, and to the east or left hand
(unrighteousness side) means away from His glory or lower level. Hell is
a place where His glory is not experienced.

When we die our spirit-man (spirit and inner-man which are connected
together) leaves the body and goes to Hell or Grave depending on our
faith. As humans between us and the Angels the difference is we dwell in
the body of flesh while they do not. They are pure spirit beings. After
death we too become spirit beings.

The Greek word for resurrection means 'to rise' and not to come alive.
Resurrection simply means being raised from one level to another. Hell
is a prison controlled by the Angels of God. The devil is there but he
is not in control of the place (as taught by Catholic Church), he is a
prisoner there (bond there). Hell is also called 'death' since the souls
there perish after suffering their sins through their spirit lives. When
Jesus died and went to Hell since He was forsaken by the Father because
our sins were on Him. But He could not be kept in Hell since there were
no sins in Him thus He resurrected (rose to the upper level). Bible says
He preached there to the souls since the time Noah and not since the
time of Adam. This and other clues like His resurrection on the third
day (Spirit world does not do by our day and night) tells us about our
spirit lifespan.

Resurrection by itself does mean eternal life. On judgment day all those
who believe (saved from Hell) will resurrect (from Grave) and will be
judged. Only those whose who abided in the Will of the Father will rise
to the Upper Heavens to experience eternal life. Others will be put in
the Lake of Fire/Sulphur a place worse than Hell since here they suffer
not their sins but suffer for rejecting His Word /Will.

Jesus' resurrection is a confirmation for us that the curse of Hell is
broken for us who believe in Him. But let us not think that we will
receive eternal life by just believing. We need to abide in the Father's
Will to be raised to the Upper Heavens when He comes again.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Holy God. Even though You are omnipresent yet your Word
says You dwell in the Upper Heavens. Lord let us understand your glory
is the confirmation of our being close to You. We can experience Heaven
here when we experience your glory. Help us to seek your glory and thus
glorify You in our lives...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Wed 11 Jan 2017, 11:24 pm

Acts 8:38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went
down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

Just yesterday as I was walking the street on my way back from office
and there was a young woman walking before me, the way she was swaying
her hip it caught my attention. It caused me to think, is it natural for
a woman to walk this way? Then a question arose of girls who are labeled
as 'tom boys' for the way they dress or walk which is similar to a boy.
Now these tomboys are also girls and have the same biological body
composition yet it is the mental state that causes them to behave

Society since ancient times has labeled things as male and female
including actions like walking, talking, dressing etc... Society
encourages females to walk, talk is ways that classified as feminine and
this is because it is very gender biased.

In the Bible we see many places gender distinction and gender disparity,
but one understands it truly it is more spiritual then natural because
the Bible also has scriptures which speak of gender equality not only in
NT but also in OT. In the OT they both wore the same dress / robe, what
differed was only the length. Later the difference became prominent when
they started doing work on the material differently for women and men.

Aside from male and female we have another term mentioned in the Bible
that is 'eunuch'. This one word 'eunuch' in the Bible has many in
confusion; the root of this Hebrew word comes from the word 'castrate'.
In India we use this word commonly for transgender and transvestite.

A transgender is person having hormone problems therefore is unable to
be identified with either sex. A transvestite is a (mostly) male dressed
as or behaving like a 'female'. Eunuch most refers to a castrated male
having feminine behavior.

In India we see people fear transgender and this in nothing to do with
natural but with spiritual fear. They believe if these people curse, the
gods will curse them and if they bless the gods will bless them. That is
why when they beg they do not request but demand (more like extortion).
There are different clangs of eunuchs in India some beg, some do
prostitution and some into crime. These eunuchs are looked at as priests
/ priestess to their gods.

In Biblical history we see eunuchs were important people for they were
castrated men dedicated to service the palace women / wives of the king.
There was also a flip side - eunuchs were also dedicated to temple
service to look after the interest of the goddesses / gods. They were
male (gay) prostitutes set to encourage greater attendance of the men.

In the OT and the NT we see the term specifies a person who gave up
their personal lives interest (living a life of chastity) to serve the
king / king's wives thus they were given the utmost importance in the
palace and they may be or may not be physically castrated. Today's
message speaks of one such palace eunuch who accepts the Lord and is
baptized in Him by Philip.

In Matthew 19:12 Jesus equates Men of god to spiritual eunuchs who are
dedicated to the Lord's ministry. He puts this as a deep understanding
thus says only those who have wisdom may understand. He puts Men of God
in 2 categories those who were chosen by the Lord even before they were
born and those who were made of men.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord know all things from the start to
the finish and thus You have already written the names in the Book of
Life. You God see the heart more than anything. You know our thoughts
even before they take birth in our minds. You Lord do not influence our
decision but encourage it. We pray Lord we understand what it means to
be a Man or Woman of God, how to be a spiritual eunuch and do not become
natural eunuchs instead...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Isaiah 39:7And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt
beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of
the king of Babylon.

Isaiah 56:4-5

4For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and
choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

5Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place
and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an
everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

Acts 8:26-29

26And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go
toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza,
which is desert.

27And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of
great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the
charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

28Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

29Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this

Matthew 19:12For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their
mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of
men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the
kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

Ministry of Jesus

John 2:11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and
manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

It is said if a lie is repeated over a long period of time, everyone
starts to believe in it without question. Most religions are based on
this principle. In Christianity also we see this principle working. Many
of the so called Catholic Church errors, wrong doctrines or traditions
have found their way due to this principle into Believer Churches and
into preaching of well-known Bible preachers / teachers.

Ask anyone about the ministry of Jesus and they will immediately say it
was a 3 year ministry starting from the wedding of Cana. This so called
teaching was not getting digested in me for how could a person like
Jesus stay dormant for 30 years? Anyone truly knowing God cannot be made
to shut up and not preach about Him.

If we read the scripture it says Jesus went to the wedding along with
His disciples. If He had not started His ministry how could He have
disciple? If we read the scripture it talks of Jesus doing miracle or
manifesting the glory of God starting with the wedding of Cana and not
His ministry. The disciples who were with Him at the wedding were
listeners to His teachings and thus followed Him but after the miracle
of Cana they started believing in Him. His ministry was not of three
years but thirty three years; His full time ministry was of three years.
He desired to do fulltime ministry from the age of twelve but due to
family responsibility He waited. His family was not poor that they need
Him to work and feed them for they had received very precious gifts from
the Wise Men that could fulfill their life time needs.

We may be great teachers of the Word of God, knowing great depth of
knowledge but if we do not manifest that understanding with the power of
God then we are not teaching God's Word but some history, physiology,
etc. which is of man but not something from God.

Jesus was a Nazarene which meant a person taken oath / whose parent/s
has taken oath to dedicate the person to God's purpose. In Jewish belief
this oath would be a temporary (for a period of time) or permanent
(lifelong). During this oath the person was expected to live a holy life
and a life of chastity; they also did other statutes like not shaving or
cutting their hair. Samson was a Nazarene who was gifted immense
physical power during his vow but lost it when he broke all statutes of
his vow. The power was not in his hair but in his vow as a Nazarene,
cutting the hair was the last statute of the vow broken by him.

Let us understand as Christians we are called to ministry from the day
we come to know God. We may dedicate our lives to full time ministry
some period of time, but ministering to people is all the time of our
lives starting from the day we know Him.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty and Holy God. As your people we are called to live
a holy life. We pray Lord we understand when we live a holy life your
glory is manifested in us. We pray we know our purpose in You and also
know as your people we are called to ministry every day of our lives...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

John 2:1-2

1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the
mother of Jesus was there:

2And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

11This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and
manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his
brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.

Luke 2:41-52

42And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the
custom of the feast.

43And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child
Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.

44But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's
journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.

45And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem,
seeking him.

46And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the
temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and
asking them questions.

47And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

48And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him,
Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have
sought thee sorrowing.

49And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I
must be about my Father's business?

50And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.

51And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto
them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

52And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

Raised from a sepulchre

Matthew 27:64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until
the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and
say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall
be worse than the first.

In the Bible when a person died it was required to bury the body so that
it decomposes into the soil. It was the traditions of the pagan of
placing the body in caves that got induced into Israelites. Later they
induced the traditions of the Syrians and later made famous by the
Egyptians of using spices to preserve the body. They did this since they
believed in life after death, but unlike Biblical belief. They believed
the natural body would come to life again for they could not contemplate
a being without the natural body.

One may ask why the Lord even entertained such a thing to be done to the
body of Jesus Christ. What is interesting is Jesus Himself acknowledged
this before His death when a woman anointed His feet with spikenard, a
very expensive incense.

We need to understand when we die our body decomposes and is not raised,
for our body has seen spiritual corruption. When we come in Christ what
is renewed is our inner man (and spirit). Jesus on the other hand was
born without sin (without sin nature since He was not born of a human
father and Mary was a surrogate mother to Him); He also lived His life
without sinning. So His body had not seen any corruption (both spiritual
as well as natural corruption - like sickness) and this was prophesy
fulfilled, that is why He alone resurrected in His natural body.

We see in the case of Jesus, God allowed the Jews to have way with their
traditions even thought they were inspired by wrong beliefs. But He did
not let them a free hand since they came on the third day to mummify the
body (Egyptian tradition partly followed by Galileans; was also done
unto Lazarus' body) but did not find it since He had resurrected.
Nicodemus had provided them with 100 pounds of spice for this, which the
women (including Mary the Magdalene, Mary His mother and others)
prepared and bought to the sepulchre.

If we understand transfiguration we will realize our natural bodies
would not be physically restricted under natural laws if it was not for
sin. Jesus demonstrated many feats which defied laws of nature known to
man. We also see at times others like Philip under the power of God also
did the same. It was not that Philip has overcome like Jesus but like
the difference between gift of faith and the faith the Fruit, so also at
times God can temporarily offset our lacking and enable us to do the

Let us get it into our heads Heaven not a beautiful earthly city with
roads of gold and precious gems. The description is symbolic for us to
understand things beyond our understanding. Man has not yet apprehended
the understanding of spirit and calls them ghost which is a gaseous
being having a human like form. Mohammad the prophet of Islam also
thought the same therefore believed spirit beings could not enter the
room if the door was shut. But Jesus did enter a shut room that too in
the flesh after His resurrection.

When we enter Heaven we will not be what we are, so also we will not see
Jesus as a human. He said when He finishes His task He will return to
the Father and will be glorified in Him. He had humbled Himself and will
be glorified again as it was before creation.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Spirit and only those who are born again in spirit can come
to You. The Heavens are a spirit place and are permanent unlike this
natural world which is temporary. Lord we pray your people understand
the difference between this natural world and your Kingdom so that they
overcome the desires and corruption of this world...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Mark 14:3-8

3And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at
meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of
spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

4And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said,
Why was this waste of the ointment made?

5For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have
been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.

6And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a
good work on me.

7For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do
them good: but me ye have not always.

8She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body
to the burying.

John 19:39And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to
Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an
hundred pound weight.

Luke 23:1-3

1Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they
came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared,
and certain others with them.

2And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

3And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

John 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the
week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for
fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto
them, Peace be unto you.

Acts 2:25-27

25For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my
face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

26Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also
my flesh shall rest in hope:

27Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer
thine Holy One to see corruption.

Matthew 22:29-30

29Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the
scriptures, nor the power of God.

30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage,
but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Acts 8:39And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the
Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on
his way rejoicing.

John 17: 5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with
the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
