Not hired but an owner

Galatians 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a
son, then an heir of God through Christ.

In many of the translations we see the word ‘slave’ is used instead of the
word ‘servant’. When we see slavery in the Bible pertaining to the
Israelites, it was not really slavery but was bonded labor. By law the Jews
were compelled to release the servant that too paying him or her
satisfactorily within a period of max 7 years. The relationship between the
servant and master was recommended to be so close that if the servant did
not want to leave, the master was to keep the servant as an extended family
member; the master was free even to get the servant married to someone in
the family. By marriage the person had full rights of as family member,
including inheritance.

Today’s message tells us we were like the bonded servants but now that we
are set free by our baptism in Christ we are no longer servants. What is
more credible is that due to our bonding with Christ we are now part of the
family having rights to the Kingdom of God. We are now no longer servants
but are sons.

We need to remember we are sons only when we are committed to Christ. If we
are disconnected from Christ we are no longer holding the status of
son-ship. The relationship is not by believing in Christ but by pursuing
the character of Christ in our lives. Like Paul says we need to put on
Christ, that is imitate Him so much that we lose ourselves, being no longer
ourselves by nature but in His nature.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Creator and God. Everything that exist is by You. You God
share this with us insignificant and unworthy beings called man. You Lord
lift us and make us worthy to receive from You. We pray Lord we understand
the importance of imitating Christ so as to receive the riches of Heaven.
We pray we be less of ourselves and more of Christ each and every day of
our lives...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision
for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have
put on Christ.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I,
but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live
by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

1 Timothy 1:16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first
Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them
which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Man of God without honor

John 4:44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his
own country.

A man is a weak being even though he or she has a spirit within as powerful
as an Angle. A man who follows or seeks the things of the flesh is called a
carnal or worldly man, and a man who follows or seeks the things of the
Spirit (of God) is called a spiritual being or Man (Woman) of God. Even
though one is a Man of God, he or she is at a state between overcoming the
flesh and being totally spiritual.

Another fact we should also understand a Man of God does not mean a
magician or superhero character from the comic books who demonstrates his
or her power every now and then at the snap of the finger. The one Prophet
who did something like this (Elijah) was rebuked by Jesus.

The word Prophet in the OT is the Hebrew word Nabi which means a Man of
God. It should not be mistaken with a person having a Calling of a Prophet.
So every Nabi was not necessarily a Prophet but may have had another
Calling like an Apostle or Teacher or even Evangelist etc. In some cases
the term Seer is used to identify the person as having a Calling of a
Prophet (but not in all cases).

Every Man of God will have a weak side and a strong side of him or her.
Today’s scripture tells us those who are close to a Man of God and know his
or her weaker side will look at it more than the stronger side. Jesus as
man had humbled Himself and was without glory and power which He had as God
the Son. So as man He was totally like us. He was born without inheriting
sin nature (since He was born not of a human father) and with the power of
the Holy Spirit He remained without sinning. As a child He grew in
maturity, understanding and gifts of the Holy Spirit. The only difference
between Him and us who are born-again (baptized in the Holy Spirit) is that
we were born with sin nature, sinned and forgiven, while He was born
without sin nature and never sinned. Another factor of difference is we,
each who have a Calling have only one Calling and remain in it throughout
our natural life, He on the other hand had all the Callings together in
Him. The reason is that Callings are associated with the Seven Spirits of
the Holy Spirit and in Him God (Holy Spirit) dwelled in the complete, while
in us we receive the promise of the Holy Spirit on baptism of Water, a
token when we are baptizes and grow as we receive more and more of Him. As
we grow we may do all things but yet we remain in one Calling. We together
as a body overcome all areas of the flesh while He alone did overcome it
completely.

Jesus always did everything to glorify the Father; He never did anything
that would attract the people to glorify Him. The only time He was cornered
to do a miracle which caused people to glorify Him was at the wedding at
Cana.

Today’s scripture says since the people with whom He grew up saw the human
factor of Him (studying, growing in maturity etc.) they overlooked the
godly part of Him and did not honor Him. This caused them to be hardened in
hearts. Even though they heard Him, they did not listen and thus not have
faith in what He said. So much was their faithlessness that Jesus had
difficulties to perform miracles among them.

We all know the Pharisees were rebuked by Jesus for being far from God, yet
we see Jesus did not condemn them as completely evil. He told the people to
hear them but not to follow them.

Every Man of God however small or greatly mature in Spirit should be heard
but not necessarily believed. We need to discern his or her words with
scriptures, accept it if it aligns with scriptures, reject it if it goes
against it and keep it aside if in doubt.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God, full of Power and Glory. You could have
ministered to every soul directly and revealed yourself directly, yet You
do not. You have given us this task so that we, ourselves grow in the
Spirit as we minister to others. Lord we pray understand the importance of
growing in the Spirit, about overcoming our old being. Lord we pray we do
not condemn people who are growing in You, but support them, receiving the
good while correcting the weakness...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 1:80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the
deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.

Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with
wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.

Mark 3:30,31
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
31 There came then [Came therefore] his brethren and his mother, and,
standing without, sent unto him, calling him.

John 7:3-5
3 His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea,
that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.
4 For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself
seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the
world.
5 For neither did his brethren believe in him.

Luke 10:13-16
13 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty
works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they
had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
14 But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than
for you.
15 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down
to hell.
16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me;
and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

Luke 9:54-56
54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt
thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even
as Elias did?
55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of
spirit ye are of.
56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save
them. And they went to another village.

Flesh v/s Spirit

Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit
against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye
cannot do the things that ye would.

Yesterday we saw about Grace v/s Works, that works is not against grace,
what matters is what kind of works. Works of righteous go against grace but
works of faith keep the flow of grace and also increase it into all areas
of our lives.

Today the Lord is bringing our attention to another two points of
contradiction - flesh and spirit. We know the term flesh speaks of the
carnal aspect of a person and not the literal meat. But we see when Jesus
said unless we eat His flesh we will not have life. When the Jews heard it
they were shocked.

We need to keep in mind Jesus did not preach in Greek (even if He knew it),
He preached in Hebrew to the Jews and Aramaic to the common people. So we
need to see to whom He was talking to, to take the root meaning of the
word. In Hebrew the root meaning of the word ‘basar’ for ‘flesh’ is good
news / gospel / tiding. So when Jesus said unless we eat His flesh, we will
have no life, He did not mean literal flesh but meant unless we receive His
Gospel we will have no life. So when we break bread (symbolizing His flesh)
and eat at a service, one of the things we do is declare we accept the
Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The world gives us a gospel and the Kingdom of God gives us a Gospel. The
Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is the Gospel of the spirit while the
gospel of the world is the gospel of carnal desires. Both the world and the
Kingdom of God are preaching unto us. What matters is whom we are listening
to and which gospel we are abiding in.

Like the worldly gospel keeps is going deeper and deeper into the desires
of the carnal person and is continuous so also Gospel of the Kingdom of God
is continuous and keeps lifting us up day by day as we keep receiving more
and more of it. The gospel of the world leads us to vanity and the Gospel
of the Kingdom of God to an abundance and eternal life.

Let us be cautious when we entertain our desires for are we giving into the
gospel of the flesh. Though we dwell in the flesh let us not give in to the
desires of the flesh. Needs and desires need to be distinguished by the
help of the Holy Spirit. It is only when we overcome the flesh by abiding
more towards the spirit we are truly called Sons of God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You are Spirit. Your ways are not man’s ways, your
thoughts are unlike man’s thoughts. Lord we pray even though we live in
this corrupt world and this corrupt flesh that feeds on desires, help us
control and overcome our desires to discern that is which is necessary and
which is not. We pray for abundance of the Spirit and for the necessities
of the flesh...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 6:51-53
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of
this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my
flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man
give us his flesh to eat?
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye
eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in
you.

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the
spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born
of the Spirit is spirit.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in
Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Grace v/s Work

Romans 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the
doers of the law shall be justified.

Today’s scripture touches on the popular debate of grace v/s work. Paul
speaks the words of Jesus (Matthew 7:21,24 Luke 6:47) and James (James
1:22), which echo the OT scriptures (Deuteronomy 4:1, Leviticus 18:5).
These scriptures seem to conflict with scriptures which state we are saved
by grace and grace alone, which is received by faith.

We need to break the grace scripture further to understand it, it says if I
believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (have faith) I receive His grace and am
saved. There is one aspect of faith is that it needs to be maintained and
grown along its various stages which according to the Bible are stated as
hope, trust, little faith, faith and authority. Jesus was not called ‘man
with faith’ but called ‘man with authority’. Authority is the perfectness
of faith. Those who have authority are called Sons of God.

Today message does not speak of works of righteousness. The word translated
as justified is the Greek word ‘dikaioo’ which means righteousness. It says
the person who works to keep the law is made righteous. The works it speaks
of is works of righteousness but works of faith, meaning works which help
keep the faith and grow the faith. If we believe in God can we reject His
Law? If faith is lost than grace is also lost.

The good works we do not justify us but the works we do to show and believe
in the goodness of God, do justify us. Jesus gave us a mission to reach out
to the lost by giving them the Gospel, to build them and make them His
disciples; He did this not that god needs our help or He needs followers.
God has sufficient Angels who can minister to all the lost and an Angel can
do a better job than hundreds of us. But yet God instructs us to reach out
and build the faith of others, this is not to help God or do a favor on
others, but more so for our own selves. While we build others, we get build..

We as bride of the Lord Jesus Christ are one body. Each one of us will not
reach perfection by ourselves, but by building each other we keep growing
in faith, knowledge and understanding. As our faith increases the Holy
Spirit reveals more and more of the truth and the day the truth is whole in
us we become men of authority like Jesus was as man, it is then we are set
free and justified to enter Heaven. Man lost the Fruit of truth and
righteousness by eating the forbidden fruit of doubt (Good and Evil), so by
knowing the truth he receives the Fruit of righteousness and is made
righteous.

In the parable of the virgins the flame (lamps) symbolized faith and the
oil symbolized works of faith. Due to their laziness they had no oil to
keep the flame burning thus were not allowed to enter the Kingdom of God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Holy, Righteous and Truth. Man became a corrupt being when sin
corrupted him. Being corrupt man could not dwell before You. You Lord,
moved him out so that he could be made whole by your Spirit, who is made
available by your sacrifice for our sins. It is by grace we receive your
Spirit and it is by the working of the Spirit in us that we are made whole
and are justified. Lord we pray we understand the difference between works
of righteousness and works of faith. We pray we are not fooled like the
lazy virgins that did not keeping the flame burning and still expected to
enter Heaven...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving
your own selves.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter
into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which
is in heaven.

Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth
them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Luke 6:47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them,
I will shew you to whom he is like:

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved.

Deuteronomy 4:1 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and
unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live,
and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth
you.

Leviticus 18:5 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments:
which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.

Romans 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish
without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the
law;

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according
to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of
the Holy Spirit;

James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without
works is dead also.

Matthew 25:1-12

Sinning against a Man or Woman of God

2 Corinthians 13: 2,3 I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were
present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which
heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not
spare: Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is
not weak, but is mighty in you.

In today’s message we see Paul rebuking those who ‘sinned before’ and now
too are doing the same. If we look at what is the sin, we see in the next
verse it is about them question if Christ was truly speaking through Paul.

Paul did have weaknesses and one of them ironically was pride, the very
thing which we will not associate Paul with. Paul did overcome this thorn;
he battled and overcame it only by the grace given to him.

Paul was very knowledgeable of scriptures and of the Kingdom of God. Paul
did have pride of what he knew. But the biggest problem with Paul was he
could deliver this knowledge in great power in writing but could not
delivery the same orally, since he was not a good orator. He called himself
as being ‘rude in speech’. There was even a case of person dosing off in
one of his session, falling of the window and dying but Paul did bring that
person back to life again.

Paul’s pride was hurt most by the people of Corinth because they compared
him to Timothy a student and spiritual son of Paul. Timothy being an
Evangelist had inherited the gift of being a powerful orator and thus
manifested it with power, like healing and deliverance. Paul did at time
speak with power but could not match up with a person who is having a
Calling of an Evangelist like Timothy. Paul took time to come to realize
his drawbacks.

All this said, some people of Corinth went over the fence and started
questioning if Christ was speaking through Paul. They did not give
attention to the matter which Paul spoke but concentrated more on his
delivery. Even though we can do everything, the Calling we are called with
does not change and all the gifts connected with it will manifest with
abundance. Paul being an Apostle had giftings in abundance according to his
Calling, but questioning if Christ spoke through him was questioning the
spirit in him.

As believers we are not questioned for our sins on Judgment Day, but that
does not mean all things are over looked. If we grieve the Holy Spirit we
are worse state than a heathen. There is another thing which Jesus warned
us that is if we called a brethren ‘raca’ or ‘you fool’, for this we will
be seriously questioned and punished with not getting entry to Heaven. If
we go into the root of the Greek words they do not mean which the English
translators put. Raca refers to one who does not have the Holy Spirit and
the word moros means having a mysterious spirit, in other words a person
having an evil spirit.

Unless we do not have a confirmation from the Holy Spirit we should not
accuse any brethren of not being a child of God (not having the Holy
Spirit) or of having an evil spirit. Doing this against an anointed Man of
God (person on mission) is the worst thing one would do, this was the sin
Paul speaks of in today’s message.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are a Holy God, You are Spirit. Those who are yours are marked
with the Spirit of your Son; they are called holy and righteous even though
they are far from being like You. You Lord are working in them and
transforming your people to manifest your glory in the time to come. Lord
we pray we understand our limitation and do not ever make the mistake of
naming anyone as being godless or with an evil spirit without You revealing
it to us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are
sealed unto the day of redemption.

Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath never
forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

2 Corinthians 11:6 But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge;
but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.

2 Corinthians 12:7-9
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the
revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of
Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is
made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my
infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother
without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say
to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever
shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

In Christ all are equal

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor
free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

We need large boards put up in every Church of this scripture for this
scripture address all the various aspects of humanity and states there is
total equality in Christ.

Neither Jew nor Greek:
There is no differentiation between people according to the language or
culture they belong.
There is no differentiation between people according to their race or
country. That means an Indian, American, Israelite or even Australian
aboriginal tribal and Amazonian pygmy etc. if believing and following
Christ is considered equal and same.

Neither Bond nor Free:
There is no differentiation between one’s social statuses. That means if
one is rich or poor, in high position or low position in the social fabric,
all are equal in the eyes of God.
There is no differentiation between one’s spiritual statuses. That means
the person who is new in Christ is loved as much as the one who is years
and years walking in the Lord. It also means one who is making hundreds of
mistakes and falling all the time is also loved as much as the one who
rarely makes mistakes.
There is no differentiation between high Calling and low Calling in the
eyes of God. That means an Apostle is loved as much as much as a Healer or
Administrator or Evangelist or Prophet or Teacher; or the other way around.

Neither Male nor Female:
There is no differentiation between one’s gender in the body of Christ /
Church. Yes there is a role play of gender in a marriage but not in the
working of God’s Kingdom. That means among those having a Calling (gold
vessels) a male Prophet or a female Prophetess, a male Teacher or female
Teacher, a male Apostle or a female Apostle etc. both are equal in the eyes
of God; even among those who have no Calling (silver vessels) a male
Believer or a female Believer both are equal in the eyes of God. Also among
the gold vessels and silver vessels there is no differentiation, both were
and are loved the same by the Lord and were kept is the same place in the
Tabernacle. As much right a male has to Pastor a congregation so also the
same right does a female have to Pastor a congregation.

John the Apostle did call himself as ‘one whom Jesus loved’, but if we see
the same term as used for Lazarus, for Mary the Magdalene and for Mary the
sister of Lazarus. Anyone who believes in Christ and is in Christ (follows
Him) can declare himself or herself as the one whom Christ loves. What is
very important is to be ‘in Christ’ that means to be His follower, not just
a believer but a follower.

We may have various levels of mission, like Peter, John and James were
given more attention by Jesus because we read later they were the ones who
headed the global Church along with Paul and Barnabas. Moses did speak to
the Lord face to face but yet Jesus said blessed is the one who has not
seen yet believed. Abraham was called lover (Hebrew word mistranslated as
‘friend’) and it was not him alone who was called lover for we who are
considered his children by our faith in Christ are also considered as His
lover / bride.

The Kingdom of God is black or white and does not have levels of grey. So
we are either in the Kingdom or not in the Kingdom. We can gain more or
less in the Kingdom not because of our race, country, social status,
spiritual status but only by our commitment, perseverance, dedication and
consistency in doing His Will.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty and Omnipresent, yet Heaven is called your Abode not
because You are only the higher Heavens but because your glory shines more
in the higher Heavens than in the lower Heavens like our creation or Hell.
Lord may we realize our position in Heaven matter only on one factor how
much we glorify You in our lives and in the lives of others. We pray we
understand one seed has the same potential to make a forest as much as many
do. We pray we use the little we have and do the best we can, let us not
differentiate other in your eyes...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Not attracting the limelight on oneself

John 4:1-3 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that
Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, (Though Jesus himself
baptized not, but his disciples,) He left Judaea, and departed again into
Galilee.

John the Baptist was not only a hero of the NT but also of the OT. He was
Elijah who came back to be the one who announces the coming of the Savior.
As Elijah he had rocked the people with the great miracles he did and thus
attracted a lot of glory for himself. So much so that he was the only
prophet to be rebuke by Jesus. But as John he took a life of repentance
from early stages itself and brought people also to repent and accept the
ways of the Lord.

John the Baptist adopted water baptism which was not something he created
but something that existed from the times of Maccabees and was a Pharisee
(righteous men - the Hebrew word means to be distinct) way of life. John
made water baptism very famous so much so that people repented by the
thousands and Jesus Himself stated John took the Heavens by force.

Jesus too encouraged water baptism; He Himself took not because He needed
to repent but because He needed to fulfill prophecy. His disciples water
baptized more people than even John but we read Jesus Himself did not water
baptize anyone.

Water baptism can be equated to the tradition of exchanging rings during
marriage, which is good and significant. But by exchanging rings a marriage
is performed. Exchanging rings is symbolic and if not done, one can still
be married just by oath.

Another point we read in today’s message is when the Pharisees saw that
Jesus (His team) had baptized more people than John (who was most famous
during that time) Jesus did not stay back to glory in His works, in fact He
fled to another place.

During elections or even when there is any small reason (especially in
India) we see politicians put big banners with their photos standing
prominent. These photos are so bog that if someone sees it from a mile they
will see the person. Politicians do it to attract people to them, even if
it is a party event yet they being self-centered make sure to promote
themselves first.

If we look at Christian events today and notice their banners, we see the
same mentality. In the name of promoting the event, people are promoting
themselves and taking glory. It is this glory that over the period destroys
the best and most spiritually strong.

There is no scripture which states Jesus sought glory to Himself. In
everything He did He glorified the Father and not Himself. The one place
where He was cornered to something that glorified Himself (the wedding at
Cana - turning water to wine), there too He protested and did it under
protest. Today this miracle is the most misunderstood and the most famously
misused miracle.

Let us understand the risk of seeking glory or letting people glorify us.
Glory only belongs to God and God alone. If Jesus being Lord as man did not
touch glory then how do we dare to do that?

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You alone are God and You alone are Holy. You do not change for You
are perfect. None other than You are perfect even though they carry your
image. Lord we pray we understand the dangers of seeking glory or letting
other glorify us. Elijah did get a change to repent as John but we will not
so we need to repent in this life itself. Lord we pray we keep ourselves
humble always and only give You alone all the glory...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 11:12-15
12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven
suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.
15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

John 2:4,11
4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is
not yet come.
11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested
forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Mon 08 Jan 2018, 12:21 am

Who is teaching you?

Luke 24: 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished
out of their sight.

In today’s scripture, we see it speaks of people whose ‘eyes opened’ and
they came to know Jesus. These people were neither blind nor
unknowledgeable. These people had eyes that could see and were aware of all
the events that happened and all that was spoken about among the people,
but they could not put the two plus two together to make four. What they
lacked was understanding and the wisdom to understand.

When they broke bread the Lord ministered to them and their received the
gift of wisdom to understand the discussion at hand and thus they came to
know Christ. In simple words the Lord revealed to them what they were
discussing.

Bible instructs us to read and study the Word of God but it also says it is
only the Lord who reveals it to us.

In one of the old ministries I was as a Catholic, the person who was
leading it was the person who made me understand the importance of
scriptures and how we need to have faith in them. He would get his
understand from books which he read. Initially he could enlighten us but
soon it started becoming stale messages. Once a brother took courage to
tell him ‘brother why do you warm yesterday’s roti (Indian bread) and give
us’, this offended him. He responded negatively and the ministry broke up
but even after many years he has not changed, he preaches the same thing
yet again and again. He does have a large congregation but fails to make
any disciples for Christ.

We are call not to eat Manna (unknown Heavenly food); we are called to eat
Living Bread (revealed Heavenly food). This happens only with the help of
the Holy Spirit.

Unless we do not give Living Bread unto the people we will not see any
change in them. Human knowledge is good and very pleasing but does no bring
change. It is only Heavenly understanding (Revelation) that transforms man
and makes him into a new creature.

As we read and study scriptures, let us ask the Holy Spirit to reveal them
to us. Bible says He desires to reveal them to us when we ask. The
revelation may come instantly, in the course of the day, week or even
months. As soon He gets the other points into us He will put the whole
picture together for us. That means the more and the quicker, inputs we
take in easier it becomes for Him to reveal them to us.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are All Knowing God. Time, space and matter does not bind You. You
are Truth for You do not change. You desire to reveal yourself unto us but
wait for us to seek You and take the step towards You. Lord we pray we be
ministered by Angels like Jesus Christ as man was, we be ministered by the
Holy Spirit like Jesus Christ was. We pray we learn more from You than from
man...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man
knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save
the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Philippians 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded:
and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto
you.

Luke 24:43-45
43 And he took it, and did eat before them.
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you,
while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were
written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms,
concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the
scriptures,

John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man
eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give
is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Being in authority even though imperfect

2 Corinthians 10:1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and
gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent
am bold toward you:

When we read some translations one wonders why the translators used certain
words. They make the text look more philosophic than what it is (pure
truth).

Let us take today’s message we see the word translated as meekness is the
Greek word ‘praotes’ which speaks of having power but not using it, i.e. a
crocodile has powerful jaws which can crush a skull yet is gentle to
transport its own eggs or its little ones. The Greek word ‘epieikeia’
translated as gentleness is a compound word of ‘on’ and ‘like’, it occurs
twice in this form and in Acts 24:4 is translated as clemency. Paul was in
the first half of his sentence was saying even though I have power I am not
using it and at the same time saying that he has not become fully like
Christ but was himself under process of becoming like Him. So Paul was
stating that the power he wielded was not because he was perfect but
because of his maturity in spirit; and this maturity was yet not perfect.

Let us not assume those who are set above us are perfect. They too are in
the process of being molded in the image of Christ. They are set above us
only because they are more mature in spirit by their knowledge, wisdom,
patience, giftings and walk in Christ.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are Merciful and Loving God. Even in your Righteousness and
Holiness, You Lord show mercy and love that You reach out to the guilty and
transform them so as to justify them. We pray Lord we acknowledge our
weaknesses as we help others to overcome theirs. We pray we do not expect
people to be perfect for all are in the process of perfection at various
stages...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 24:4 Notwithstanding, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I pray
thee that thou wouldest hear us of thy clemency a few words.

2 Timothy 2:24-26
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all
men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God
peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who
are taken captive by him at his will.

We are Hebrew

Acts 7:5 And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set
his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession,
and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

When we did not know Christ we were worldly people, we loved the world and
the things of the world. Now we are told not to love the things of the
world but love the things of the Kingdom of God that is, love spiritual
things and not material things. Yet we find Christians do not get this into
them. The worse thing is the Preachers themselves are setting wrong
examples by hoarding worldly materials. One sees the lifestyle of the
Preachers change as the crowd increases; their dressing, their residence,
their vehicles, their mobiles, their gadgets etc… all are the best of best.
They say ‘their God is rich’. Their ‘rich god’ must be very poor to value
these useless things. What these people think is that their giftings are a
confirmation of their relationship with God. They do not realize even if a
person goes far from God, God does not take back the gifts He has given.
But like in the case of Balaam He makes the same gift become a cause of
that person’s destruction.

We do not read of Jesus or His disciples preach of fulfillment of the land
promised to Abraham or Israel. In fact Jesus who is the seed in whom all
the promises are fulfilled said His Kingdom is not of this world. Yet we
find Christians supporting or pursuing the fulfillment of worldly land to
the Jews.

One may think why I gave the title ‘We are Hebrew’ to today’s message. The
word Hebrew is not to do with the language which the Jews speak but to do
the meaning of the word. The word Hebrew means ‘from the land beyond’. The
‘beyond’ does not refer to a specific place but speak of the people being
nomads, people without earthly land. Abraham was a nomad. God did give him
a place to settle but none of the place did he have as his own as written
in today’s message. Land of the Canaanites may have had a worldly reference
but God did not really promise that. If He really did promise then His hand
was not short to have not fulfilled it. Even King David did not try to take
hold of all the land earmarked but left part of it even though he could
easily have, God did not correct him for not doings so. If we understand
the symbolic meanings of these references we will be in awe of all that God
has promised for us in Heaven.

God says those who seek worldly things will lose the spiritual things. If
we love the world than Heaven is far from us and the wrath of God is on us.

Let us always consider ourselves Hebrew, as people of the land beyond, as
aliens in this world, people who are just passing through this world.
People who are come for a mission and will leave to the Father’s Home once
the mission is complete.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and everything that exist is made by You. You made this
natural world not as our permanent dwelling place, but for a period so as
to gather, to transform your people, to overcome darkness and to make them
worthy to dwell forever in your abode. Help us Lord to not lose the things
of Heaven by loving the earthly things. Let not the wrath of God be on us
who know the truth yet deceive ourselves...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Colossians 3: 2,5-7
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication,
uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness,
which is idolatry:
6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of
disobedience:
7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom
were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be
delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of
this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised
to them that love him?

Matthew 19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you,
That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Not only will the world hate you

1 John 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

We all are told in the beginning when we accept Christ the world will hate
us because the world hated Him first, because the world hates the truth,
because the Kingdom of God is not of this world etc...

In today’s message John is not speaking just of the world hating us, if we
look at the verse before it he speaks of the hate of Cain against Abel.
Cain was not an outsider but Abel’s brethren and both believed and
worshipped the same Lord. The hate of Cain against Abel was because Abel
was more righteous than Cain. It was not that Abel did greater works than
Cain, or was holier than Cain. The only things that made Abel to please God
more than Cain, was Abel understood God better and His desires better.

If we look between Cain and Abel, Cain actually did more efforts compared
to Abel yet he did not please God. So the amount of works we do does not
matter, what matters is what we do, is it according to the heart of God.
David pleased God because he walked according to the heart of God, even
though he struggled and failed not just once but more than once, yet just
because he knew what the Lord desired and tried to abide in it, he pleased
God.

More than the people of the world who hate us will be brethren who do not
walk according to the heart of God since they really do not know God and
are far from Him. These misled-righteous brethren will go to any extend to
destroy our spiritual lives, to spiritually murder us but we are told we
should not care. These people may put us down but it is the Lord who will
lift us up.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty, Righteous and Holy God. Your ways are unlike the
ways of man. Only those who really know You are the ones who can walk in
your ways. Lord we pray we know You not like the world knows You but like
Abel, David, Abraham and the few others knew You and were considered
righteous...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 John 3:11-16
11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we
should love one another.
12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And
wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s
righteous.
13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the
brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no
murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for
us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

A Year of Persecution

Revelation 11: 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the
rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman,
and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the
mountains;

About a week back I was invited to preach at a Church in Gujarat and there
I was surprised to what the Lord was doing. Gujarat is known to be a state
of many hardcore Hindu fascists and they hate not only one specific other
religion but every other religion which does not follow the Hindu ideology.
Yet in that state the Lord was working in an awesome way. When I went there
I was not aware of the people or the situation there and the Lord commanded
me to teach on evil spirits and on Satan. Normally I avoid taking this
topic in depth for I better preach of the things of light then of darkness.
But later I realized a large percentage of the people who accepted Christ
there were having demonic issues and through deliverance they had receiving
healings and release from problems.

In the book of Acts we see the Church grew when they were persecuted. Does
that mean persecution is good?

Many theologians believe even after Pentecost the twelve Disciples of
Christ stayed put in Jerusalem and it was only when God bought Paul in the
picture, that they too got up and got going.

We people are somewhat stiff-necked like the Israelites even after we have
seen the glory of God we sit on our fat backside when it comes to doing
work for the Lord’s Kingdom. Let us get it inside us the timeline of events
are already written and we are in that timeline. The major events have
already been declared and they will come to pass, we like it or not. You
and I, if we do not get moving we will be moved. As I sat asking the Lord
what is due for this year I was given the message of persecution. We can
look at it as persecution or as growth of the Church.

This year we like or not the Church of the Lord will grow, with us moving
according to His Will or we will be moved into doing it.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are God and everything is created by You. You created everything
for a purpose and not for vanity. You are Lord of your Word and it will
come to pass. Lord we pray we submit to your Will than to be made to
submit. As your Word says You do not give up on your people and will see
them through unto victory. Lord we pray we hold on to You through this
coming year so that we do not be shaken...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Numbers 11:23 And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD’S hand waxed
short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or
not.

Matthew 24:34-35
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these
things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Wishing you a Spirit filled and Blessed Year 2018.

God did not spare the natural children of Abraham

Romans 11: 16-21
For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be
holy, so are the branches. And if some of the branches be broken off, and
thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them
partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; Boast not against the
branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed
in. Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by
faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural
branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

In South India we have Christian Churches which have different
congregations meetings and even places of meeting (Churches) according to
their caste. The Pastors justify this as being Biblical by saying God
separated Israel according to various tribes. When one hears this one is
just dumbstruck to even answer such dumb people who dare to call themselves
Christians.

We may be disturbed by such people but are not disturbed when most
Christians consider Jews/Israelites to be people of higher caste/race or as
special people. No doubt God did bless the descendants of Abraham, Isaac
and Jacob, but was the blessing beyond this natural world? NO.

In today’s message Paul clearly says we (gentiles) who are considered as
wild olive tree were grated in place of the natural branch (the Jews who
rejected Christ). People may state this as ‘substitute theory’, but they
fail to realize Abraham was neither an Israelite nor a Jew; he belonged to
a pagan, idol worshiping family. When God chose Abraham, the Lord promised
in the Seed of Abraham would all the NATIONS of the world be blessed. God
did not say NATION but said MANY NATIONS. It is for this reason God
protected the Israelites and bore all their nonsense. At times these people
came to a point that God repented but yet He stood on His promise and bore
them. We see throughout the OT these people saw more of the wrath of God
then the heathens did. Once the Seed (Jesus Christ) came we see the Lord
reached out to all the nations of the world. Jesus Himself commissioned His
disciples to reach out to people throughout the world.

We are children of Abraham by faith and have replaced his natural children.
We have neither complemented nor supplemented them but literately replaced
them. This does not mean Jews will not enter Heaven but means even they,
only by having faith in Christ will inherit the Promised Land (Heaven).

As far as the 12 tribes of Israel are concern, one needs to remember they
were represented by the 12 precious stones on the breastplate of the High
Priest and in Revelation we see the foundation of Heaven is stated as being
made of these 12 stones; so the tribes were symbolic and a shadow of
spiritual things for us to understand the Spirit world.

Let us not be foolish to believe in caste system, or race or even the
concept of Israelite and non-Israelite, if we do, we actually land negating
that salvation is by faith in Christ and we are save only by grace received
through our faith in Him.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are God and creator of everything that exists, there is no other
God than You. You planned the Savior of mankind to come from the weak so
that You will be magnified through their testimony. You Lord are no
respecter of man for all goodness comes only from You and all provision
also comes only from You. Lord we pray we do not differentiate people
according to natural characteristics but only according to spiritual
characteristics...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 12:1-3
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from
thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make
thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:
and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Genesis 17:4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt
be a father of many nations.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come
upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all
Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor
free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor
uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and
in all.

Prophesy and forbid not Tongues

1 Corinthians 13:39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not
to speak with tongues.

When the word ‘Prophecy’ is used people confuse it with word of knowledge /
whisper of the Holy Spirit. Prophesying means to speak the promises of God
into someone’s life or situation. To prophesy one does not need a gift but
when and what to prophesy one does.

Like we saw in our previous message God does all things at an appointed
time. The problem is not God needs to wait since He is unable to do it
immediately, the problem is God needs to wait since we are not set, or in
the right frame to receive from Him.

When it comes to ‘Tongues’, along with ‘Sabbath’ there is no other word
that causes greater debate amongst Christians. There are two lots of people
who object Tongues. One lot says Tongues are evil and should not be
entertained; they fail to read this and other scriptures regarding Tongues
which encourage or justify Tongues. There is the other lot which state
Tongues in a foreign language and not blabber. We also see many speak
foreign words or imitate a foreign language in the name of Tongues. They
fail to realize at Pentecost when the 120 (together) spoke in Tongues about
3000 people outside heard them (collectively) speak in their various
languages. It means each one heard them (collectively) speak in their own
language, that means what they uttered was heard by various people in their
own language. Tongues is a great challenge to Christians who are filled
with worldly knowledge, it is like antibiotics to worldly wisdom.

Both the ability to Prophesy or speak in Tongues are Gifts of the Holy
Spirit. Anyone baptized in the Holy Spirit can receive these gifts. In fact
we see in Acts these Gifts were a marker for those who were baptized in the
Holy Spirit; they manifested these gifts so much that people were more
confident about their Holy Spirit baptism than their Water Baptism.

Bible says anyone who lacks any Gift of the Holy Spirit, he or she just
needs to pray and God will be pleased to give them the same, also these
Gifts can be transferred unto others by laying of hands.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are full of wisdom and your wisdom is beyond measure. You Lord in
your wisdom gave us the Gifts of Prophesy and Tongues, for You know that
worldly wisdom is pure vanity. We pray Lord your people seek true wisdom
and not vanity...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 2:4-8,41
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with
other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every
nation under heaven.
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were
confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold,
are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day
there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Acts 10:44-48
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all them
which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as
came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift
of the Holy Spirit.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered
Peter,
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have
received the Holy Spirit as well as we?
48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then
prayed they him to tarry certain days.

1 Timothy 4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee
by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your
children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to
them that ask him?

Work for the good

Romans 8: 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

When we read scriptures every word is of great importance and none can be
ignored be it the ‘if’s, ‘and’s, ‘then’s, ‘so’s etc...

Today’s verse starts with an ‘and’ thus is connected to the previous
scripture/s. The context starts with verse 24 and when we read through
verses 24 to 28, it gives a clear understanding of the context.

We all know we are justified by faith and faith alone. Our faith walk
starts with hope, it grows to trust, to little faith, to faith and
ultimately to authority. This we understand by the various Greek words used
in the manuscripts.

Elpis - hope
Peitho - trust
Oligopistos - little faith
Pistis - faith
Exousia - authority

Jesus was not called a ‘man of faith’ but called ‘man of authority’. When
faith is perfected it transforms to knowing what we are and thus not called
faith but is called authority.

Today’s message talks of the Holy Spirit working in us to build us from
hope to authority. We initiate this process with having hope in Christ but
after that it is the Holy Spirit who takes charge of things. It is He and
only Him alone who works on our hope to grow it into trust, then to little
faith, then to faith and ultimately into authority. Those having authority
are called Sons of God / Israel / Prince of God. Through all this process
it is our love for God that is like glue that keeps us going. The day we
stop loving Him then we fall out of this process for even the Holy Spirit
cannot do anything with us, since God follows the principle of free will.

Today’s scripture does not say God makes things that are good for us
according to our understanding, but says He makes situations for us
according to what is necessary for us to change so that the process is
complete in us (collectively). What may surprise all is through the
millions and trillions we produce only 2 Sons of God (the two witnesses) at
the end and that too satisfies God. It is only when we understand this we
will understand why we need to build each other, support each other and
work as a body while the Holy Spirit builds us.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Holy, Righteous and True. Before You Lord, corruption cannot
continue to exist. Your Word says You do not give up on your people. Lord
we pray we surrender to the Holy Spirit and not make things difficult for
us by resisting Him and His work in us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 8:24-28
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a
man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for
it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what
we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession
for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the
Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will
of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love
God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Beholding His glory as in a mirror

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the
glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory,
even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

God the Son humbling Himself, coming as man and being lifted up is what we
see as the great glory of God but today’s message says it is like seeing
the glory in a mirror.

This creation was made by the Son for a purpose and that purpose is to be
edified in Him. As today’s scripture says from glory to glory by the Spirit
of the Lord (Son). We have received the Spirit of the Son by our faith in
Jesus Christ and it is only by His Spirit that we are transformed into Sons
of God. Our going to Heaven is not the end of the story but God has great
things set for us even there for God is an always prospering God.

Today the Lord is telling us when the Angels sang ‘Glory to God in the
highest’ they sang about the glory which was to come now that the Word had
manifested in the flesh.

Let our eyes be like the Angels set on the glory which is to come.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and yet You humbled yourself and became your creation. You
Lord wanted man to have victory over darkness by your light shining through
man. Lord we pray we be focused on the glory of the Son of Man for in His
glory is ours...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptuers]
Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of
his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that
the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of
Christ, he is none of his.

Philippians 1:19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through
your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father
with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Luke 2:10-15
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good
tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is
Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in
swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into
heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto
Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath
made known unto us.

Luke 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with
power and great glory.

Showing Himself at the appointed time

John 21:1 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples
at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.

In today’s message we read of Jesus Christ showing Himself to His disciples
at the Sea of Tiberias / Sea of Galilee. They had travelled all the way
there since Christ had instructed them in advance of this appointment.

In the Bible we see every major incident was foretold. God sent His
Prophets to inform the people, be it a good event or even a bad event, He
always fixed an appointment.

We see today’s Christians are worshipping neither the God of the OT nor
Christ of the NT who does fix an appointment. Christians say Christ came
without informing when He would come so have chosen a day (which was a
pagan feast) as a day to celebrate the coming of Christ. They are behaving
like the Jews who were ignorant of His coming unlike the wise men who did.

If we go for an appointment set by X person we will meet the X person but
if we go to an appointment fixed by Y person and expect to meet X person,
will we meet the X person?

Bible says Jehovah set an appointed time for every feast and every feast
was a shadow of Christ. Like His death and Resurrection was a shadowed by
the Passover / Paschal sacrifice & the Wave / Peace sacrifice, similarly
the Church receiving His Spirit was shadowed by feast of Pentecost / feast
of Harvest and His birth was shadowed by the feast of the Tabernacle /
Booths (tents) (God came as man / left His abode and dwelled in a tent).

Bible also says Pharaoh was wiped out all because he did not meet the
appointed time so God hardened his heart and led him to his destruction.

Let us not harden our hearts to the Word of God and miss the appointed time
that we become a case like Pharaoh. God is not insane to fix a time and
then say it does not matter. Everything that God says or does has a reason,
and that reason enlightens our path to follow Him better so as to know Him
better.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God of order and not of confusion. Lord You are a Holy God and
yet we take your name and connect it to a blasphemous ritual called Mass
(ChristMass). Lord we pray you enlighten your people by opening their eyes
to the truth so that they walk more sturdily on your path...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 28:16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a
mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

Exodus 9:5 And Jehovah appointed a set time, saying, To-morrow Jehovah
shall do this thing in the land.

Exodus 23:15 The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep: seven days
thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, at the time appointed
in the month Abib (for in it thou camest out from Egypt); and none shall
appear before me empty:

Jeremiah 46:17 They cried there, Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he
hath let the appointed time pass by.

Leviticus 23:34-36,39-43
34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this
seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the
LORD.
35 On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile
work therein.
36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on
the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an
offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall
do no servile work therein.
39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered
in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days:
on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a
sabbath.
40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees,
branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the
brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.
41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto Jehovah seven days in the year: it is
a statute for ever throughout your generations; ye shall keep it in the
seventh month.
42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are home-born in Israel
shall dwell in booths;
43 that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to
dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am Jehovah
your God.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Thu 14 Dec 2017, 11:45 pm

Only to those who believe

Galatians 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the
promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

God did love the world and thus sent His begotten Son to save it but yet
all are not saved.

Such a statement does not question the competency of the Son since man used
his free will to sin thus to see salvation also it is only by his free
will. That means if man wants to be saved he needs to believe. Only those
who believe in the Lord are the ones who are saved and that does not mean
believing about the existence of God, for Satan also knows God exist and
even fears God but due to the hardness of his heart he does not listen to
God.

Believing in God means to abide in the Lord that is abiding in His Word.
Sin came when man rejected the Truth / Word of God by eating the fruit of
doubt (knowledge of Good and Bad). Since truth got corrupted he lost the
Fruit of Truth and thus also lost the Fruit of Righteousness (that is why
Adam and Eve experienced nakedness). Righteousness is closely bounded with
Truth since to do the Will one needs to know it.

When we acknowledge the Lord we realize how great a sinner we are; when we
repent and accept the Lord we are on the journey to know the truth.

One place where all err is that people think they know or will know the
whole truth individually. No person will know the whole truth individually,
we collectively as one body come to know the truth and the day we know the
whole truth is the day God says it is sufficient and calls man up
(transfigures/rapture). Jesus as man is the only one who knew the whole
truth since He was born without sin and saw no sin or corruption. His
transfiguration before a select few witnesses was evidence of Him
overcoming sin and we who follow Him, we too will overcome. We need to also
understand we know the truth only through the Holy Spirit, for He is the
revealer of the Truth and the Spirit of Truth.

Today’s message tells us that the promise of eternal life (Heaven) is
received only through our faith in Jesus Christ that is by us following Him
(not just acknowledging Him). It also means we need to remain in Him until
we sleep. That means if I choose to follow Him today but reject Him days
before I die then I am lost and unsaved.

The Lord knowing that to grow in faith we cannot do it by ourselves thus
gave us His Spirit (Spirit of the Son) as a Helper, Counselor, Teacher and
Comforter. It is only with His help we remain in the faith and we grow in
the faith to collectively know the Truth and be set free.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are a Holy and Righteous God. You alone are perfect thus You
were, are and will always be the same. Lord we pray that we overcome this
corruption by faith through knowing the Truth. We pray Lord we remain in
You and grow in You and thus stand before You on Judgment Day to receive
our promise in You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Sat 09 Dec 2017, 11:40 pm

Christ son of no man!

Luke 20:41 And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David’s son?

In today’s message Jesus who was called ‘Son of David’, questions the
reference. Jesus in simple words says Christ is Lord, God and Creator of
all mankind so how could He be a son of David.

One of the greatest reasons that Catholics and Muslims are not Christians
is that they do not understand the relationship of the Lord Jesus Christ
with His creation as Son of Man, Son of God and also as God. I do not blame
them for this, since the problem exist even with Believers and that is why
we have concepts like 100percent man and 100percent God at the same time!

We are so worldly and materialistic that everything including in our
thinking taht even spiritual things we try to understand with natural
principles. I have some Christians who discuss the law of thermodynamics
with theology when explaining things like relationship between Father, Son
and Spirit!

Yes God has made the natural with design so that we understand the unseen
by the seen. But then we need to be careful not to take them literal or its
wrong symbolism. For example the serpent is used to symbolize Satan because
of it deceiving movement but also used to symbolize Christ on the cross for
it also symbolizes being curse as Christ was cursed for us and thus took
our curse away (for those who believe).

Jesus Christ was the son of Joseph and Mary yet He is referred to as being
without father or mother in Hebrews 6:20, 7:1-10. Since Melchisedec is
mentioned in between people think Melchisedec was made like Adam without a
father or mother. Melchisedec was an ordinary king of Jerusalem (previously
known as Salem) and there is no mention of him being an extra being in OT.
What Abraham and he did was symbolic and explained in Hebrews 7 as between
us and Christ.

Jesus did respect Mary as his mother but twice when He was upset with her
He did question her about her relationship with Him. First time during her
persisting Him to do a miracle for lack of wine at the wedding of Cana by
calling her ‘woman’ and second time when she feared He had an evil spirit
and came hurryingly to check on Him thus disturbing His preaching.

Jesus’ relationship with Mary can be today understood by the relationship
between with a child with its surrogate mother; it is born from the
mother’s womb but has no spiritual relationship with her. It is only by
this we will understanding how she being a virgin yet conceived and she not
being perfect yet He was.

Technically through Christ we do inherit the covenant and its blessings,
made with Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses and David for He was born as
an Israelite but at the same time He was the one who created them all and
the one made the covenant with them. It is for this reason the word
translated as covenant in OT refers to a contract to be fulfilled by two
individuals while in NT refers to a contract to be fulfilled by one
individual since God humbled Himself and took the form of man to fulfill
even the part of man.

Let us not make the Lord Jesus Christ into a deity like the Hindus do of
their gods. Let us understand there is only One God and yet the Son is God
for He came from the Father and the Holy Spirit is God for He is the Spirit
of the Son. Let us not understand spirit beings like we do to humans also
that Heaven is not an earthly grand resort so flesh and blood will not
inherit Heaven.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You alone are God and there is none other than You. You are Spirit and
your Kingdom is spiritual. The natural will perish on its assigned day but
the spiritual will remain. Help us Lord to understand the spiritual so that
we understand the importance of being born again in the spirit and be like
the humbled Lord Jesus Christ, to be lifted up and glorified with Him...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Hebrew 6:20, 7:1-10

1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a
living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

Luke 20:41-44
41 And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David’s son?
42 And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my
Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
43 Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
44 David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son?

Mark 3:30-33
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
31 There came then [the actual Greek text translates as - came therefore]
his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling
him.
32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy
mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?

Colossians 1:12-17,20
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers
of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated
us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of
sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in
earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to
reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in
earth, or things in heaven.

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world
are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his
eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Fri 01 Dec 2017, 10:01 pm

Did God change or negate the Covenant?

Hebrews 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in
the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt;
because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith
the Lord.

N number of times I have seen Christians debating on the New and Old
Covenant and that is why they say the Bible is divided into 2, the Old
Testament and the New Testament. Due to this they stick more to the New
Testament and ignore the Old Testament. They do not realize Jesus, Paul,
Peter and others taught from the Old Testament. All the books of the New
Testament are rooted or loaded with teachings from the OT leaving for 2
books - Acts which is a chronology of the early Church and the Gospel of
John which is more an autobiography of Jesus Christ. Even the book of
Revelation is totally a preview explanation of prophecies from the OT (in a
jumbled order).

The Greek word diatheke / covenant occur 21 times in the NT. It is a
compound word which means ‘through’ and ‘setting’, so it talks of an
arrangement, the procedure and not the solemn agreement in OT, in Hebrew
‘beriyth’ which means ‘through a blood sacrifice’. This word covenant was
first used between the Lord and Noah when God made a covenant through him
with mankind.

Bible talks of only one Covenant between God and man like the Word of God
is one Word and not many words of God. That Word is the instruction to
fulfill the Covenant God made of saving man. The Covenant was started with
Noah and then continued and added on to with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob
(Israel), Moses, David and Jesus. The Covenant continued but God did change
one thing in between and that is the procedure of executing the covenant.
With Jesus the Lord added grace to the covenant and that is why we believe
in Jesus Christ are under grace.

An agreement is made between 2 persons and both have promises to fulfill.
All the promises which the Lord made with Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Israel,
Moses, David and Jesus are on us and we can claim every one of them. The
Jews had the promises but since they rejected Jesus, they rejected grace
and thus they lose all the promises / Covenant. Without grace no man can
fulfill their part of the agreement, it is only grace that keeps us in the
agreement / Covenant even though we do not fulfill our part of the
agreement.

In today’s message the Lord tells us about the new procedure, the procedure
of grace which we are under and how by this procedure we inherit the
Promised Land / Heaven.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are Holy and Righteous God. Even though before You no evil can
sustain itself, yet in your mercy You gave it time. You did this so that
man can be saved and saved only by grace. The grace we claim through faith,
our faith in You and your Covenant which You bring to fulfillment through
our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You Lord for the grace...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Hebrews 8:7-13
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have
been sought for the second.
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the
Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the
house of Judah:
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day
when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because
they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and
write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be
to me a people:
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his
brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to
the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and
their iniquities will I remember no more.
13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that
which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Genesis 6:18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt
come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives
with thee.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld
his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace
and truth.

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by
Jesus Christ.

Covering the head

1 Corinthians 11:7,8 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head,
forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory
of the man. For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.

Just 2 days back I saw a picture of Bible related words written behind a
vehicle. It was written ‘women need to be silent’ and below that were the
words ‘go read the Bible’. The person was referring to Paul’s instructions
to the Church of Corinth. Today’s message is part of those instructions
wherein Paul tells men should not cover their heads while the women should.
Was Paul a sexist, discriminating between men and women?

If we look at the OT minutely even God was not discriminating against women
and in fact more biased towards women so as to protect them from the male
dominated traditions, i.e. a woman during her menstruation period was
considered ‘unfit’ / ‘unclean’ so that she gets rest from daily chores.

If we look at the scripture properly we will see Paul did not mean what
people think, the next verse says ‘for the man is not of the woman; but the
woman of the man’. It is true that Eve was made out of man but are all the
other men also made like Adam, out of dust and breathe life into, are they
all not born out of a woman?

Paul was not referring to the natural man and natural woman. In spirit all
men and women were made in the image of God and there is no natural gender
in the spirit-man but those who are in the image of the Father the gender
male is used; that is why it is written when God created men and women in
spirit the gender male is used for both.

In the natural when God created woman He did not make woman like He made
man but made her out of man, from the bone of man. Bone symbolizes
character and like the bones which give shape to our natural body, our
character gives shape to our spiritual body. It is for this reason Jesus
Christ was fatally bruised for us but yet none of His bones we allowed to
be broken.

Woman represents man and man represents the Christ since Christ was the
natural manifestation of the nature of God. So when Paul said women to keep
silent or to cover the head (submit to authority) he meant those (both male
and female) who are not in the nature of Christ, he was not referring to
the natural woman.

If we are not truly following Christ and not imitating Him then we are not
the one who should be preaching but be the ones to keep silent and submit
to authority. Authority does not come by position but by character and
Calling (again to do with the Spirit of the Son).

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Holy God. You Lord created man alone in your image that is why
only Sons of God have the ability to dwell with You eternally in Heaven.
You made woman so that we can understand your relationship with man. Lord
we pray we do not dwell in the natural differentiating between man and
woman but dwell in the spiritual distinguishing between your Nature and the
Adam (human) nature...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 1: 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God
created he him; male and female created he them [male plural].

John 19:36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be
fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.

Romans 8:1-5,14
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ
Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from
the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh,
God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin,
condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not
after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but
they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is
withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are
burned.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Thu 16 Nov 2017, 12:25 am

Let He alone be the purpose of our lives

Philippians 1:20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in
nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now
also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by
death.

An army solider, police officer, fireman etc. are professions we know
associated with men and women who live and die for the honor of their duty.
In uniform or out of uniform the nature within them changes once they have
joined the forces. It is true they glory themselves when they are in
uniform. What they honor most is to die in duty.

We as Christians need to learn to live our lives like we are in the forces,
not earthly but heavenly forces. If we know what awaits us after death, we
will surely live a better natural life. It is our ignorance that causes us
to err in this life and seek vanity.

In today’s message Paul speaks of the little he knew of the things that
await him after death, and that became an inspiration (hope) for him to
live as a true disciple of Christ while he was naturally alive and also
when he exited this world, so that he glorified Christ while he was alive
and also when he died.

Let us ask ourselves, are we living anywhere like Paul?
Is Christ the center of our lives?
Do we seek our own glory or His glory?

If we are people who get offended then we have put ourselves before Christ.
If we are people having no time for others or for the lost, we are seeking
our glory.
If we are people using the words ‘I’, ‘me’, ‘my’, ‘mine’ more often then we
have made ourselves the focus of our lives, not Christ.
If we desire people to appreciate us, honor us then we have put ourselves
in place of Christ in our lives and the lives of others; we have made
ourselves a savior.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are Almighty God. In the Bible even though You are One God yet
You never failed to honor your Son and His Spirit, You lifted Him up for
the world to see. He too sought His glory in You and in You alone. Lord we
pray we being Disciples of Christ, may imitate Him. We pray we seek Him and
Him alone while breathe is in us and also when it leaves our natural body...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 Peter 4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed;
but let him glorify God on this behalf.

2 Corinthians 2:14-15
14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ,
and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved,
and in them that perish:

Philippians 2:17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service
of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.

Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye
through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Romans 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we
die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the
Lord’s.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Tue 14 Nov 2017, 10:53 pm

Scripture is supreme

Galatians 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the
promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

These few days were days of experiences. I met various kinds of people at
various places. One thing I saw from them is that Churches are become
places of soul entertainment.

People come to church to hear what they want and when Pastors deliver what
people want to hear, then the magic happens, they just adore the Pastor and
praise him to great heights. When Pastors see this happen they like it.
This causes the people to destroy the Pastor and the Pastor to destroy the
people.

People like to hear only about the love and mercy of God. A God that
blesses, forgives, heals and opens the gates of Heaven wide so all can
enter. If we read the Word of God this is contrary to what it says. So if
your Pastor preaches only this then you need to run from that Church. The
Lord did not tell us to follow the Pastor but told us to follow the Word of
God and to be led by the Spirit of God. Pastor will not take us to Heaven
but the Word and Spirit of God will. Pastors are supposed to guide people
according to the Word and get them to have relationship with the Holy
Spirit.

If people correct us according to the Word, thank God for them. If it is
not for them, we are sure not to see Heaven but see the wrath of God.

God is love but people forget God is also Holy, Righteous and Truth. So
even though His love saves us, it is not at the cost of His Holiness,
Righteousness and Truth. His love brings us to the truth and the truth
transforms us to be holy and righteous. If the truth is not in us then His
love also is not in us and the transformation will not happen.

Today’s message tells us Word of God shows us our faults and at the same
time gives us the promises of God. When we repent for our faults and
believe in the promises then only we receive our glory in Jesus Christ.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are Holy God, and in Heaven all beings worship You shouting
‘Holy, Holy, Holy’. Lord we pray we are not deceived by emotions and lies.
We pray we realize You and your love cannot be taken for granted. You bent
and set forth your Hand for man to be lifted up; You did not lower your
position. You were, You are and will always be the same. Lord we prayer we
need understand without internal change we cannot enter Heaven...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Galatians 3:20-26
20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there
had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness
should have been by the law.
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by
faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the
faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we
might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Psalms 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name
for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word
above all thy name.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Sun 12 Nov 2017, 11:39 pm

Suffer more than Christ!

2 Corinthians 11:24, 25 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes
save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I
suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;

Just a few days back a brother came back from Israel and was sharing his
experience there and one of the things he shared was his surprise to see
some South Koreans carry a large crucifix on the so assumed path which
Jesus took to Calvary. We also have regular accounts of people who crucify
themselves on crucifixes on ‘Good Friday’ in the Philippines. In other
places they scourge themselves by being whipped and tied to the crucifix.

Firstly we have a greatly distorted understanding of the Crucifixion of our
Lord Jesus Christ / Passion of Christ. By this fact one will understand how
the Beast deceives the whole world. This distorting is all because of the
Catholic Church, which goes by hearsay more than the Word of God. Even
though we Believers call ourselves as (Sola Scriptura) Word rooted people,
yet many anti-scriptural baggage we carry of the Catholic Church (Babylon
the Great which deceives the whole world - many generations).

When we say we are healed by the stripes of Jesus, it does not refer to
those caused by the Jews. Jews used standard whips which hardly tore the
flesh; it referred to the deep stripes which the Romans caused. They
inflected 100 stripes, delivered by 3 strong persons (in turns) and by
whips having 9 to 13 strands fastened with objects like glass bits, sharp
iron pieces etc. to its ends. Even the facts of how He was pierced and hung
on the crucifix or for how many days he was tortured and abused is all
hidden from people. All the dates and days are misreported on purpose so as
to hide the real suffering of Christ. The movie ‘Passion of Christ’ shows
not even 10percent of His real suffering.

What is more important to note is not just the suffering of Christ as man
but the suffering He endured from the foundation of creation for our sake
and that is thousands of times greater than what He bore on the crucifix.
That is why when we say ‘He loved us before we knew Him’ is one of the
greatest declarations of His love for us.

Paul knew of Christ’s suffering thus even though he was whipped by the Jews
5 times, beaten by rods thrice, almost stoned to death once and kept in
dark dungeons for days together yet he did not consider his suffering
anywhere close to what Christ suffered for us.

It is because we do not know Christ and what He has done for us that we
think we do great things and suffer great. Let us educate ourselves about
Him according to His Word and not accord to what people tell us of Him.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are eternal God. Beginning and end are not terms related to You
but You are the beginning and end of all living beings since all are
created by You. Lord we pray we understand the Word of God better and know
You better. Let us never compare our pain, sorrow or deeds ever with what
you have done for us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 17:3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and
risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach to you, is
Christ.

Philippians 3:8 Yes doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the
excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have
suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win
Christ,

Hebrew 5:8-9
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he
suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation to all
them that obey him;

1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were you called: because Christ also
suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow his steps:

1 Peter 4:1-2
1 For as much then as Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm
yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that has suffered in the
flesh has ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the
lusts of men, but to the will of God.

2 Only Christ can judge the spiritual
Sat Nov 11, 2017 6:09 pm (PST
Only Christ can judge the spiritual

1 Corinthians 2:15, 16 But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he
himself is judged of no man. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that
he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

The Greek word for judge is ‘krino’ and the word for discern is ‘diakrino’.
The Greek meaning of the word for ‘judge’ is to separate or choose and the
word for ‘discern’ being a compound word means to thoroughly inspect or
doubly judge.

Humans are advance beings mainly because they can discern things. Animals
discern only by natural senses but humans do so also using their mind. A
person is called mature (naturally and also spiritually) when one starts to
use and grow in discernment. So when we use our worldly senses of
discernment then we are called worldly mature and if we use our spiritual
discernment then we are called spiritually mature.

Today’s message tells us we who use our spiritual discernment can only be
judged by Christ, but if we do not use them then we fall under judgment of
people.

Let us not condemn people who judge us if we are walking in the natural.
Let us check our spiritual walk and our spiritual maturity before
condemning people for judging us.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. Even though You are above all
things yet You have put your Word above You. You Lord bring yourself under
submission of your Word. Lord we pray we discern our words, thoughts and
actions. Let everything about us be discerned by us so that we do not fall
under judgment of people but only by You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 6:37 Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you
shall not be condemned: forgive, and you shall be forgiven:

Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even
those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good
and evil.

1 Corinthians 5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are
without? do not you judge them that are within?

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Warning of disaster

Acts 11:28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by
the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world:
which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

In the Bible we see when sin increases beyond a threshold God intervenes
and we find disaster falls on man. If that place has even a handful of
people who truly walk in the ways of the Lord then that place is saved. We
also see when people of God are persecuted then God does let His wrath
fall, it may not happen immediately for God does give time for repentance.
God is slow to anger but not forgetful. He is merciful and does forgive but
only to those who repent. At times for the reason of our ancestors or love
ones we do not see the wrath of God.

Having Men or Women of God dwelling amongst us is very critical it is
because of them we do not perish. Problems may come but still life will not
perish.

In today’s message when people of God gathered to pray we see God sends a
warning about a great famine falling across the world. If we read a few
verses before it talks of the murder of Stephen and persecution of God’s
people.

Yesterday’s message we read of Paul calling himself chief sinner. Paul knew
he had his hand in the murder of Stephen since he was a religious guide to
the Jews at that time and it was he who gave his agreement to Stephen being
stoned to death. The people placing their garments at the feet of Paul Saul
(that was his full name, he was before called by this latter Jewish name
and not his Roman name) symbolized that Paul alone was responsible for this
death and they were just instruments of enacting it.

When people kill, persecute or mock a Man of God, it ignites the wrath of
God and disaster falls. God may punish a Man of God for his mistake but
then we do not have the right to point a finger at that man. Men and Women
of God are considered apple of His eyes (dear to Him). Unless God has
instructed us to rebuke a Man or Woman of God it is best we keep shut.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are an Loving Father. Even though You love all mankind yet only
those who harken unto your Word are the ones who are saved from hell,
amongst them only those who abide in your Will enter your Kingdom to enjoy
eternal and abundant life. Even amongst these only those who truly complete
the mission given to them enjoy a greater position in Heaven. Lord we pray
we understand how You love your people and how dear are those who are on
mission. We pray we do not err by touching or pointing a finger at your
dear ones and fall victim to your wrath...

This pray we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 11: 19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that
arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch,
preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

Genesis 18:23-33

Genesis 19:24-29

Matthew 10:14-15
14 And whoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart
out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
15 Truly I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom
and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Matthew 11:22-24
22 But I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the
day of judgment, than for you.
23 And you, Capernaum, which are exalted to heaven, shall be brought down
to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in you, had been
done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
24 But I say to you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom
in the day of judgment, than for you.

Acts 7:58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses
laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.

Acts 8: 1 And Saul was consenting to his death. And at that time there was
a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they
were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria,
except the apostles.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Fri 10 Nov 2017, 1:49 am

Self-confirmation

2 Corinthians 12:12 Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you
in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.

The people of Corinth were one hard lot for Paul. It was due to them that
Paul was under great stress in his spiritual life, for they started
comparing Paul with his own student Timothy.

Timothy was an Evangelist while Paul was an Apostle. Being an Evangelist
Timothy was blessed with the gift of being a good orator as well of doing
miracles while preaching. Paul too did miracles but on the other hand was
known to be very knowledgeable, and this was seen through his letters but
when it came to preaching even though he knew a lot, he was very bad at
putting it across in words in person. When he preached to crowds he would
literately put people to sleep. This Paul known by theologians to be humble
did have pride in himself until then (writing of his 2nd letter to the
Corinthians). He just could not take the fact he was compared to his own
student.

In today’s message we see Paul crediting himself as a good Apostle. Even
though he tries to credit himself as a great Apostle to the Church of
Corinth, in the same letter he also tells them about his battle with his
pride and how thrice the Lord told him that the grace on him was sufficient
to overcome this thorn.

In his later letter to the Romans Paul wrote about our battle with our
inner man / old man not just by knowledge through scriptures but also by
self-experience. Paul went through this battle of overcoming his pride and
we read in his latter letter he speaks of his complete victory of being an
overcomer. A man, who once said work out one’s salvation with fear and
trembling, was later confident when he knew he did overcome.

However great a Man of God one may be, there will be an area which the Lord
would want to work on and the more we do not allow Him, the more difficult
situations we will be faced with. Our problem may seem small to others but
since we try to cover it, the greater this battle will become for us.

For many things we can say ‘be like Paul’ but at this one point let us not
be like Paul but learn to surrender more gracefully. Let us not be a
testimony for others but learning for other’s testimonies overcome more
gracefully.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. When we are baptized in You, You Lord take away
most of our weakness and strengthen us in those areas. But then You keep
one area for us to battle with and overcome. Heaven is a place for
overcomers and since You desire us to dwell in Heaven with You therefore
You make us overcomers. Lord we pray we do not struggle that one area You
want us to overcome but acknowledge our weakness and by the help of your
Word and Spirit overcome that area...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 20:9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus,
being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk
down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.

2 Corinthians 10:10 For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful;
but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

2 Corinthians 1:19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached
among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and
nay, but in him was yea.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10, 12
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the
revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of
Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is
made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my
infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in
necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I
am weak, then am I strong.
21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that
I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the
uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.

2 Corinthians 13: 3 Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which
to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.

2 Corinthians 11:6 But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge;
but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.

Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the
body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Paul the chief sinner!

1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation,
that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Imagine someone telling you he is the worst criminal in the world. Think
what all thoughts will go in your head about that person. In today’s
message we see Paul confessing to be the greatest sinner that was before
Christ changed his life. Was Paul that bad?

Before I get to how bad Paul was, let us understand sin. Sin by definition
means breaking the commandment of God, so any person who breaks the
commandment of God is a sinner. We all know there were 10 Commandments
given to the children of Israel. Now were the commandments given in order
of their seriousness? No.

We see Jesus summarized all the ten into just two. That means the first 5
including the Sabbath commandment was to do with loving God and trusting
Him while the remaining 5 was about loving the people of God (neighbor). It
was this reason they were written on 2 tablets and not just 1.

Let us get it into ourselves there is no bigger sin or smaller sin; sin is
sin. Even if I murder a person or lie I have sinned. In the sight of man
the seriousness of the acts may vary but in the sight of God both are evil.
If He can forgive a liar then He can also forgive a killer.

Yes there are more serious sins but these are not dependent on the act but
on the person doing it. If the person is knowledgeable of the Kingdom of
God and has been given the grace and yet sins then that person is worse
than a killer who did not know God. It is for this reason the only sin not
forgivable is grieving the Holy Spirit. To grieve the Holy Spirit one needs
to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and matured in the Spirit to be in
communication with Him.

Before Paul came into the Lord he was a religious Jew who studied
scriptures and parroted them but did not understand them. He followed them
in the letter but never in the spirit. He had not reached the state of
being baptized in the Holy Spirit but continued to reject the Word of God
while claiming to follow it. So we see he had reached that state after
which there was no return or forgiveness.

Let us understand as Christians our sins are more serious in the eyes of
God than those who do not know Him. Let us also understand that as we are
maturing in the Holy Spirit we still have a chance of receiving God’s
forgiveness but once we are considered matured then we will be seriously
held responsible for even the smallest act of disobedience.

So as we grow in the Lord let us be more careful about our walk in Him, let
us not take our mistakes likely.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are a Holy God and You Lord desire your children to walk in
holiness. You know by themselves your children will never know holiness,
leave alone to become holy, for this reason You gave them your Spirit. Lord
we pray your people understand beyond your Spirit there is nothing that can
same us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Exodus 20: 22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the
children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

Exodus 24:11-12
11 And on the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also
they saw God, and did eat and drink.
12 And the LORD said to Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there:
and I will give you tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I
have written; that you may teach them.

Exodus 31:18 And he gave to Moses, when he had made an end of communing
with him on mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written
with the finger of God.

Matthew 22:37-40
37 Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your
heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like to it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby you are
sealed to the day of redemption.

Matthew 12:31 Why I say to you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be
forgiven to men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be
forgiven to men.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

He comforts us in all our tribulation

2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth
us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in
any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

When we read the English translation of today’s message, it makes us to
believe that when we are in problems God helps us through them and thus
when others are in problems we too should help others.

We all know many a times when problems come how we struggle through them.
How they linger for long. So can scripture be wrong? It is only when we
read the Greek text we understand it better.

The word translated as tribulation means pressure, it talks of tough
situations. The word translated as comfort means to console or advice a
person; it is about talking or communicating to a person in problem.

In the Bible it is very clear that as Christians we will face tribulation,
means if we do not face tough situations then we are not practicing
Christians. These tribulations need not be only from people who hate us but
also things happening in our lives. Bible also goes on to say God is in
control of them and does not allow more than what we can take. So if we are
in the Lord then every problem we face is below us. It also says in all
these problems God makes an escape for us. So the time we are in them need
not be long.

Today’s message tells us God communicates to us when we are problems and
guides us a way out through them and this He never fails to do so. If we
are lingering in our problems, it means we are not listening to God. The
ability to come out of them is already provided, what we need is to know is
how, and this God does tell us.

‘Problems will come’ means they are spiral in our lives, situations that
will always come and there is no escaping or way to avoid them from coming.
But this spiral is not a ring, meaning we remain in the same place; it is
like a spiral staircase, meaning takes us from one position to a greater
position.

Testing or tribulations do help us grow once we overcome them, but that
does not mean we should pursue or desire tribulation, testing. Bible says
we suffer due to lack of knowledge. If we have knowledge of the Kingdom of
God, God does not need us to be taken through testing, tribulations. That
means if we hear what the Word of God tells us and what His Spirit speaks
to us we will go through less tribulations or testing. Even if we go
through them, yet it is His speaking to us that gets us out of them. So
listening to God before and growing in Him is better than listen to Him
afterwards when we get into problems and then grow through them.

We as Christians are called to guide others through their problems like the
Lord does to us. We are called to be the voice of God for that person.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are a merciful Father. You love your children that does not You
protect them from all problems. You Lord allow problems but make an escape
through them. Since You love your children You desire they grow in You so
that they can be truly blessed in You, if we do not grow by
self-submission, then You get us to submit through situations. You do not
desire we be put through tribulations, but then You will not stand and see
us perish. Help us Lord to not be tested but abide in You and walk in grace
always...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is
common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted
above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to
escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Serving a Man of God

Philemon 1:13 Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he
might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:

Paul in his letter to Philemon speaks about Onesimus a bondservant of
Philemon who robbed him and fled to Rome. It was in Rome Paul meets
Onesimus and gives him the gospel. Onesimus repents and was ready to return
back to Philemon, but Paul being old request Philemon to let him remain
with him as help.

Onesimus was not a slave but a bondservant, meaning he had taken an amount
in return to render service for a period of time. In the whole Bible the
Israelites were not allowed to keep slaves. They were under Law of God
obliged to release their bond servants after 7 years. If their servant on
their own will did not leave after 7 years, they were allowed to remain but
as an extended part of the family, having some privileges of a family
member.

Onesimus had taken money from Philemon and still fled so was by law
required to return and serve Philemon. Initially Paul offers to pay on
behalf of Onesimus but goes on to say if Philemon does not take the money
and does want Onesimus to return then Paul would consider the service of
Onesimus as service of Philemon.

Serving a Man of God in his needs is obliging God, it puts God in
obligation to bless us. A Man of God cannot demand service for himself for
God Himself does not demand. The service needs to be a free will service,
understanding we are not serving the man but the God of the man. Paul
instructed the Churches to give unto poor Men of God / Saints but not
doing, was not considered a sin.

Let us understand the importance of servicing poor Men of God and
especially Saints (those who dedicate their lives to serve God, not taking
anything as their own). But giving a Man of God already having lots is like
being partner to the back sliding of that Man of God. We need to be led by
the Spirit to give.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are Mighty God and nothing is impossible for You. Yet Lord You
have in your wisdom selected man to be a vessel to bring glory to your
Kingdom. Lord we pray we understand the importance of being a vessel of
service unto You, your Kingdom and those who stand in your Name. help us to
know whom to give and whom not to...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 Corinthians 16:1-2, 14-18
1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to
the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store,
as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
14 Let all your things be done with charity.
15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is
the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the
ministry of the saints,)
16 That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with
us, and laboureth.
17 I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for
that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.
18 For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye
them that are such.

2 Corinthians 9:10-15
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your
food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your
righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth
through us thanksgiving to God.
12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of
the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your
professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal
distribution unto them, and unto all men;
14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding
grace of God in you.
15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

Mark 5

Hierarchy in the Kingdom of God

1 Thessalonians 5:12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which
labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish [warn] you;

In today’s Church a Pastor who has a larger Church is respected more, a
Preacher who has a larger gathering is respected more, an Evangelist or
Prophet who has a greater gifting has greater respect... all these are
worldly norms applied to the Kingdom of God.

Yesterday in my message I had written about rebuking an anointed Man of
God, this caused a person to delete my message from a FB group. The lack of
knowledge has people do things thinking they are pleasing God, but not
knowing they anger God.

David was one of the greatest anointed kings of Israel, a man written as
close to the heart of God, yet it is written God sent persons like Gad and
Nathan to rebuke him. There is hardly much written of these men compared to
that of David, yet they were above David in hierarchy as per the Kingdom of
God.

We need to realize our achievement in God’s Kingdom is not because of our
ability, but because of God’s provision. Had not the Lord provided, could
anyone achieve anything? Thus can any Man or Woman of God take credit for
his or her work?

Hierarchy in the Kingdom of God depends on Calling and growth in that
Calling. Paul in his letters touched on the topic but did not write in
detail about it. The Believer Church follows the Nicolaitan hierarchy which
it inherited from the Catholic Church. In the Old and New Testament we see
even though the Priest was in charge of the congregation yet he submitted
to the authority of the Prophets. In our Churches the Prophet reports to
the Priest (Pastor / Bishop).

Pastor is not a title or designation, it means shepherd and refers to
anyone who is leading others in the Lord. Each and every Christian is
called to be a Pastor.

In the Old Testament Callings were not revealed for Christ was not
revealed. It was only on His coming that Callings are understood. According
to the New Testament the person in charge of the congregation is referred
to as Bishop [meaning overseer] this is a Calling. This Calling is also
referred to in the letter to the Corinthians by Paul as ‘Administrator’.
Titus was anointed as a Bishop of the Church of Cretians and Paul guided
him in his Calling. Timothy on the other hand was an Evangelist and was
over a Bishop so was called to setup Churches and appoint Bishops and
deacons (who were like apprentices). Timothy although being an Evangelist
submitted to Paul not just because he was his spiritual mentor but more
because as an Apostle Paul was over Timothy. As Timothy grew spiritually he
grew from a spiritual son to being an associate of Paul.

Callings in the Kingdom of God are as follow:
Apostle – Prophet – Teacher – Evangelist – Administrator – Healer

These Callings are as per the Seven Spirits of the Lord (Spirit of the Lord
and the six Callings) [Isaiah 11:2]. They are according to the dress of
High Priest (Aaron). They are also according the design in which man is
physically created (Image of God). Callings are permanent and one cannot
change from one Calling to another. Thus one cannot become an Apostle from
a Prophet, or become a Prophet from an Evangelist.

Just having a high Calling is not important but growth in that respective
Calling is also important. These being spiritual matters need due spiritual
guidance and not thumb rule judgments.

Today’s message Paul writes to a more mature Church of Thessalonians about
people having a high Calling working amongst them and are there to guide
them in spiritual matters.

Let us not follow the Nicolaitan system which the Lord says He hates. If we
want the Church to really grow then let us function as per the Body of
Christ. Like we have hands, legs, shoulders, torso, stomach, hips etc. so
also Callings are like the different parts of the Body of Christ. If
everything is controlled and done by one part, in the worldly system we
call such a person ‘handicapped’. Let us get our Church to move from a
handicapped church to a full bodied Church of Christ.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God. Before You created this world You saw and then created.
Your Word says without vision people perish. The vision also needs to be as
per your vision, for only You can see things clearly. Lord we pray we
follow things as set by You and not be deceived into doing things contrary
to your instructions...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Isaiah 11: 2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of
wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of
knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

1 Corinthians 7:20 Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was
called.

Revelation 4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings
and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne,
which are the seven Spirits of God.

Revelation 2:14-16
14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that
hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock
before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to
commit fornication.
15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which
thing I hate.
16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against
them with the sword of my mouth.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Thu 02 Nov 2017, 12:13 am

What is death?

Acts 23: 14 And they came to the chief priests and elders, and said, We
have bound ourselves under a great curse, that we will eat nothing until we
have slain Paul.

In the Bible we have many words translated as ‘kill’, like in Hebrew the
words harag, nakah, muwth, shachat all are translated as ‘kill’. Death has
always fascinated man so much that even evil spirits use it as a very
powerful tool to destroy man. We have in many religions a god of death, can
there be a god concerning death? It is all because we do not know what
death is, that we land up worshiping death or the dead.

Today we have people playing with the dead and tomorrow they will worship
the dead. Today they celebrate Halloween and tomorrow All Saints Day / All
Souls Day.

In today’s message the Jews hated Paul so much that they wanted to kill
him. They wanted to do away with him and they knew if they kill him, he
will cease to function. They wanted to bring his natural functioning life
to an end.

Bible talks of two death, one is the natural dead where the natural person
dies in the flesh and if the body is corrupted (seen sin) then it decays
(Jesus was the only human whose body did not decay since He did not ever
sin). Even though the body decays, the person whom we know (the spirit
person - his or her life and character) still lives. Bible says those who
are in the Lord go to sleep (gathered unto their fathers /His people) and
the others go to a prison called Hell where they are bound in a place
described as endless pit. Ignorance to scriptures has caused people to
distort this place called Hell as a place ruled by Satan and his goons.
They fail to realize scriptures tell us evil spirits hate Hell and dread
going there. In Hell no one punishes another person, not even God punishes
any one; people punish themselves for they suffer the sins in them. Their
own sins become like never dying coals of fire. People in Hell do not live
eternally here (the Hebrew word rendering gives an idea of a very, very
long time) but I can tell you it is in thousands of years after which the
life ceases to exist (when Jesus went to Hell only souls from the time of
Noah existed).

Coming to those who sleep in the Lord; in the Bible God forbids man (in the
flesh) to communicate with those who are asleep (deviation). King Saul did
this mistake by communicating with the Prophet Samuel and was punished for
this. Prophet Samuel was not in Heaven but asleep after he died. Similarly
we see even after Stephen was martyred and prayed Lord receive my soul, it
is written he slept. We on our death too will sleep and arise (resurrect)
on Judgment Day to be judged and enter Heaven as one body (bride). When
Jesus spoke to Moses and Elijah, He transfigured so as to not break the
Law.

Now those who have not gone to Hell and asleep but fail Judgment Day will
receive a greater suffering since by their faith they are forgiven of their
sins but because they rejected the Word and Will of God they will suffer
punishment for rejecting the Son (His Word, His Spirit). The place they go
in the Bible is described as Lake of Fire / Lake of Sulphur.

People dislike natural pain but when a mind is corrupted, even pain becomes
a pleasure; the same with death, those who do not know death take pleasure
in death. They play with death and worship death.

Let us realize our natural life will decide our spiritual life. Our natural
life is just a minuscule of the period of our spirit life. If we use it
well and reap spiritual fruits then we will dwell in a comfortable place
called Heaven where we will get access to the Tree of Life via which we
will never see spiritual death but live eternally. Let us realize spiritual
pain is not like natural pain but unthinkable.

Today the Lord is telling us people after death do not dwell in natural
graves nor exist with us in this natural world. It is the evil spirits
(fallen angels) that deceive humans to believe in ghosts / dead spirits
that roam this world. Death is neither a thing to play with nor a thing to
worship. It was sin that bought death into existence for God is life and
Heaven is a place where all live eternally, life outside Heaven perishes.
We are called not to fear natural death but called to dread spiritual
death; spiritual death meanings separation from the Lord until our spirit
life perishes (again to remind you it is equivalent to thousands of natural
years).

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are God and Creator. You are Life and creator of all life. You
made man for a purpose, not to exist as man but to be reformed to a greater
life. Lord your Word says unless we are not renewed / born-again in spirit
we will not experience Heaven and eternal life. We pray the truth lives in
us and keeps us from deceit and danger of death...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 16:22-24

Genesis 25:8 Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age,
an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.

Genesis 35:29 And Isaac gave up the ghost, and died, and was gathered unto
his people, being old and full of days: and his sons Esau and Jacob buried
him.

1 Samuel 28:11-15

Luke 8:30-31
30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion:
because many devils were entered into him.
31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the
deep.

1 Peter 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

Acts 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that
his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
