Rep. Louie Gohmert Furiously Slams Obama: “You Cannot Destroy Our Constitution With A Memo”

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) on Friday was furious with President Barack Obama for seizing power from Congress and essentially writing his own immigration law, and said Obama did so by speaking a law into existence, The Blaze Reported.

“This president didn’t even have the gumption to write an executive order and sign it,” Gohmert said on the House floor. “He spoke his new amnesty law into being, and then [Homeland Security Secretary] Jeh Johnson did a memo.”
“That took the power of Congress away from us,” Gohert shouted. “So the question on acting responsibly is, do we make that message clear: we’re not having laws spoken into being in this country, and having some bureaucrat, unelected, come around with a memo that undoes laws by different Congresses all these years, signed by different presidents.”
“With a memo?! Come on!” he concluded.
Gohmert: Stand with us for the Constitution

Rep. Louie Gohmert (TX-01) powerfully spoke on the House floor about the Homeland Security Spending Bill. He fervently spoke about the responsibility that Members of Congress have to the American people. And noted, 'It's time to act responsibly - stand with us for the Constitution."
