Denver: Muslim carrying “Islamic writings” shoots, kills transit security officer, “motive unknown”
By Pamela Geller - on February 1, 2017
A Muslim suspected of shooting and killing an armed RTD transit security officer had Islamic writings in his possession when he was arrested, according to sources with knowledge of the investigation.

The Islamic element will insure this gets no coverage.

Denver Police Chief Robert White said local authorities had no prior contact with [the killer] and that his only criminal history was a misdemeanor charge in another state.

“We’re not 100 percent sure what motivated this particular individual to shoot the victim,” White said.

White said investigators were trying to determine if the security officer was shot because of his dark blue uniform, which resembles the one worn by DPD.

Barb Archer, the commander of the Denver Police Department’s Major Crimes Division, called the attack “completely unprovoked.”

Victim: Scott Von Lanken
Sources describe suspect in shooting death of RTD officer as ‘radical Muslim’
KVDR, February 1, 2017 (thanks to Craig Silverman)

DENVER — The man suspected of shooting and killing a uniformed RTD contract security officer in Lower Downtown late Tuesday night has been described as a “radical Muslim,” law enforcement sources told FOX31 Denver.

The suspect was identified as 37-year-old Joshua Cummings.

Two sources told FOX31 Denver that investigators found jihadist materials in Cummings’ backpack and those materials are now being investigated.

Scott Von Lanken, 56, was shot and killed, the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner confirmed.

The shooting happened about 11 p.m. at 16th and Wynkoop streets on Union Station Plaza, one block from Union Station, police said.

“This is an incredibly sad day for us, and on behalf of the entire RTD family I extend my prayers and express my sincere condolences to the officer’s family, friends and loved ones,” RTD general manager and CEO Dave Genova said in a statement.

Police said at a news conference Wednesday morning that two women were asking the armed security officer about light rail routes when a man approached from behind, pointed a gun at the officer’s neck and fired.

Cummings was found hiding in the 1600 block of 14th Street about 20 minutes later and was arrested without incident, police said. A gun was also recovered.

The shooting is being investigated as a homicide and police are looking into whether it had to do with the victim wearing a uniform.

“It’s really disheartening when anyone loses their life, but especially when we have someone out there providing safety to the community at large,” police chief Robert White said.

Police said Cummings lives in the area and police have not had contact with him. He had an out-of-state misdemeanor arrest more than five years ago. White said the motivation for the shooting is not known.

Lanken was employed by Allied Universal, which provides security services under contract for RTD.

“Our entire team is deeply saddened by this loss,” RTD assistant general manager of safety and security Mike Meader said. “RTD and Allied Universal have been in contact with the officer’s family and will continue to offer our support during this sad time.”

Wynkoop was closed between 15th and 17th streets on Wednesday morning as police investigated the shooting. It reopened about 5:50 a.m.

Officers later set up a makeshift memorial at the scene with flowers and signs for the man. One sign said, “Prayers from the downtown motorcycle unit.”

RTD has 250 uniformed Allied Barton security officers who patrol 24 hours a day, and about 265 contracted extra-duty police officers from Lakewood, Aurora and Denver. There are also eight internal transit police officers.

A memorial fund to help support Scott Van Lanken’s wife and two children has been established through the Rocky Mountain Law Enforcement Credit Union. It’s under Scott Van Lanken’s name. You can get the credit union’s contact information on its website or by calling 303-458-6660.

20 ‘Vetted’ Refugees Who Turned to Jihad-Terror After Being Allowed Into America
By Pamela Geller - on January 31, 2017
Is President Trump right in pushing the pause button on “refugees” from hotbeds of jihad terror? You bet he is. Obama’s vetting process and refugee policy was an epic fail.

By Chris Menahan, InformationLiberation, January 29, 2017

While the lying media is perpetuating the lie refugees do not pose a terrorist threat, the facts show otherwise.

Senator and soon-to-be Attorney General Jeff Sessions compiled this list of refugees-turned-jihadists in 2016 while Obama was pushing to dramatically increase the amount of so-called “refugees” allowed into the United States.

– On May 25, 2016, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Bilal Abood was sentenced to four years in prison for making a false statement to the FBI. Abood, an Iraqi translator for the U.S. military, was admitted to the United States through the Special Immigrant Visa program for Iraqi translators in 2009, and subsequently became a citizen. Abood enlisted in the Army and went through basic training at Fort Jackson in 2010, but left for unknown reasons. According to court documents, after being prevented from boarding an international flight, Abood told FBI agents that he intended to go to Iraq to visit family. Subsequently, Abood left the United States through Mexico and then traveled through various countries to get to Syria to join ISIS. A subsequent search of his computer revealed that he pledged an oath to the leader of ISIS, despite denying that he had ever made such a pledge.

– On January 7, 2016, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, Aws Mohammed Younis Al-Jayab was charged with providing materially false, fictitious, and fraudulent statements and representations to the United States government. He was separately indicted on March 17, 2016 for attempting to provide material support to acts of violence overseas. Al-Jayab — a Palestinian born in Iraq — was admitted to the United States as a refugee in 2012. According to the criminal complaint, beginning in October of 2012 — the very same month he first arrived in the United States — Al-Jayab began communicating with numerous individuals about his intention to go to Syria and fight for terrorist organizations. In April 2013, Al-Jayab made multiple statements to another individual (later identified as Omar Faraj Saeed Al Hardan) regarding his experience handling weapons and killing individuals in Syria. In November 2013, just one year after being welcomed to the United States as a refugee, he traveled to Syria and posted on social media that he was fighting with various terrorist organizations, stating “America will not isolate me from my Islamic duty. Only death will do us part.”

– On January 7, 2016, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Omar Faraj Saeed Al Hardan was charged in an indictment with attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization, making false statements, and attempting to procure citizenship or naturalization unlawfully. The indictment states that he attempted to provide training, expert advice and assistance, and personnel — specifically himself — to a terrorist organization. Al Hardan — a Palestinian born in Iraq — was admitted to the United States as a refugee in 2009, and obtained a green card in 2011. When applying to become a U.S. citizen, he knowingly responded, certified, and swore untruthfully that he was not associated with a terrorist organization when, in fact, he associated with members and sympathizers of ISIS throughout 2014. During an interview in October 2015, Al Hardan falsely represented that he had never received any type of weapons training, when in fact he had received automatic machine gun training. According to media accounts, Al Hardan told his wife “I will go to Syria. I want to blow myself up. . . . I am against America.”

– On August 12, 2015, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho, Fazliddin Kurbanov was found guilty of conspiring and attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization and possessing an unregistered destructive device. Kurbanov is a native of Uzbekistan who came to the United States as a refugee in 2009. U.S. Assistant Attorney General John Carlin stated that he “conspired to provide material support to the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan and procured bomb-making materials in the interest of perpetrating a terrorist attack on American soil.” According to press reports, Kurbanov began his life as a Muslim, but his family claimed that they faced persecution after they converted to Orthodox Christianity. After coming to the United States with his family as a refugee, Kurbanov is said to have converted back to Islam and radicalized.

– On April 20, 2015, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, Guled Ali Omar was charged with conspiracy and attempt to provide material support to ISIS. Omar was born in a Kenyan refugee camp, and sources indicate he came to the United States as a refugee when he was a child, obtained a green card, and subsequently applied for and received citizenship. Omar is the younger brother of another indicted fugitive, Ahmed Ali Omar, who left the United States in 2007 to fight for Al-Shabaab. Another one of his brothers, Mohamed Ali Omar, was convicted in March of 2015 of threatening federal agents when they came to the family’s residence to interview Guled Omar. During a press conference, U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota, Andy Luger, said that Omar “never stopped plotting,” and had previously attempted to leave the United States.

– On April 20, 2015, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, Abdurahman Yasin Daud was charged (along with six others) with conspiracy and attempt to provide material support to ISIS. Daud, a Somalian refugee who came to the United States as a child, and subsequently obtained a green card. Daud and another individual drove from Minnesota to San Diego to attempt to get passports, cross the border into Mexico, and fly to Syria in to join ISIS.

– On February 18, 2015, Al-Hazmah Mohammed Jawad was arrested as he attempted to board a flight to Jordan to join and fight with ISIS in Iraq. Jawad was admitted to the United States in 2013 as an Iraqi refugee and he subsequently obtained a green card. Jawad was charged with making a false statement to U.S. government officials. He also stated that he “had been to the shooting range and had been running to get in shape and prepare for his upcoming travels,” and that a uniform was waiting for him in Iraq.

– On February 5, 2015, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Abdinassir Mohamud Ibrahim was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for conspiring to provide material support to Al-Shabaab, a designated foreign terrorist organization, and for making a false statement in his immigration paperwork. Ibrahim is a native of Somalia who came to the United States as a refugee in 2007 at the age of 22 and subsequently obtained a green card. Ibrahim knowingly lied on his citizenship application and previously lied in his request for refugee status, by falsely claiming that he was of a member of the minority Awer clan in Somalia and subject to persecution by the majority Hawiye clan. Ibrahim was actually a member of the Hawiye clan and not subject to persecution. In fact, according to court documents, “Ibrahim’s family was famous . . . [and] [t]hrough his clan lineage, Ibrahim was related to known Somali terrorists[.]” Ibrahim also admitted he lied on his citizenship application by having previously lied on his refugee application by falsely claiming that he had not provided material support to a terrorist group, when he had in fact provided material support in the form of cash to an Al-Shabaab member.

– On February 5, 2015, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, Abdullah Ramo Pazara was named in an indictment against six individuals. Pazara, a native of Bosnia who sources indicate came to the United States as a refugee, later obtained a green card and became a citizen in 2013. Pazara was never charged in this case because he is believed to be dead. According to court documents, the others who were indicted provided material support to Pazara, who left the United States to go to Syria and fight with ISIS just 11 days after becoming a citizen. Among other things, Pazara allegedly told an individual about a mission where they “captured a large area, killed eleven individuals, captured one, and added that they intended to slaughter the prisoner the follow[ing] day.” According to press reports, at the time Pazara was purportedly killed in Syria, he was a deputy to one of the top ISIS commanders.

– On February 5, 2015, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, Ramiz Zijad Hodzic was charged with conspiring to provide material support and resources to terrorists, providing material support to terrorists, and conspiring to kill and maim persons in a foreign country. Hodzic is a native of Bosnia, and a purported Bosnian war hero who came to the United States as a refugee. According to the indictment, among other things, Hodzic obtained money that he used to “purchase materials and supplies including: United States military uniforms, tactical combat boots, military surplus goods, tactical gear and clothing, firearms accessories, optical equipment and range finders, rifle scopes, equipment, and supplies . . . intending that the materials and supplies would thereafter be transferred to, and used to support” Abdullah Ramo Pazara and ISIS.

– On February 5, 2015, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, Sedina Unkic Hodzic was charged with conspiring to provide material support and resources to terrorists, and providing material support to terrorists. Sedina is the wife of Ramiz Zijad Hodzic and a native of Bosnia who came to the United States as a refugee. According to the indictment, Sedina, along with her husband, collected money from third parties and wired it to terrorists abroad. Also according to the indictment, Sedina shipped six boxes of U.S. military uniforms, combat boots, tactical clothing and gear, military surplus items, firearms accessories, rifle scopes, optical equipment, first aid supplies, and other equipment to terrorists abroad.

– On February 5, 2015, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, Armin Harcevic was charged with conspiring to provide material support and resources to terrorists, and with providing material support to terrorists. Harcevic is a native of Bosnia who came to the United States as a refugee, and subsequently obtained a green card. According to the Indictment, Harcevic collected money from third parties and wired it and his own funds to terrorists abroad.

– On February 5, 2015, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, Nihad Rosic was charged with conspiring to provide material support and resources to terrorists, providing material support to terrorists, and conspiring to kill and maim persons in a foreign country. Rosic is a native of Bosnia who sources indicate came to the United States as a refugee, obtained a green card, and subsequently applied for and received citizenship. According to the indictment, Rosic sent funds to terrorists abroad, and attempted to travel to Syria to join terrorists in Syria and Iraq. According to press accounts, Rosic was a truck driver and former mixed martial arts fighter who had previously been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after punching a woman in the face while she held a child, and in a separate incident, was charged with assault after allegedly beating his girlfriend with a belt.

– On February 5, 2015, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, Mediha Medy Salkicevic was charged with conspiring to provide material support and resources to terrorists, and providing material support to terrorists. Salkicevic is a native of Bosnia who sources indicate came to the United States as a refugee, obtained a green card, and subsequently applied for and received citizenship. According to press accounts, Salkicevic was formerly an employee with a cargo company that deals with items coming in and out of Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. According to the indictment, Salkicevic collected money from third parties and wired it and her own funds to terrorists abroad.

– On February 5, 2015, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, Jasminka Ramic was charged with conspiring to provide material support and resources to terrorists, and providing material support to terrorists. According to the indictment, Ramic collected money from third parties and wired it and her own funds to terrorists abroad.

– On January 29, 2015, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, a federal warrant was unsealed for the arrest of Liban Haji Mohamed for allegedly providing material support to Harakat Shabaab Al-Mujahidin, also known as Al-Shabaab and Al-Qaeda. Mohamed is a native of Somalia who sources indicate came to the United States as a refugee, obtained a green card, and subsequently applied for and received citizenship. He is believed to have left the United States on July 5, 2012, with the intent to join Al-Shabaab in East Africa. Mohamed previously lived in the Washington, D.C. area and worked as a cab driver, and is believed to have snuck across the border to Mexico after being placed on the no-fly list. Carl Ghattas, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Washington, D.C. Field Office emphasized the importance of locating Mohamed, “because he has knowledge of the Washington, D.C. area’s infrastructure such as shopping areas, Metro, airports, and government buildings . . . [t]his makes him an asset to his terrorist associates who might plot attacks on U.S. soil.”

– On January 31, 2014, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, Ahmed Nasir Taalil Mohamud was sentenced to six years in prison for conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization. Mohamud was admitted to the United States as a refugee from Somalia. He worked as a cabdriver in Anaheim, California where he raised money for the terrorist organization Al-Shabaab. According to the Department of Justice, “[t]he United States presented evidence that Nasir . . . conspired to provide money to al Shabaab, a violent and brutal militia group that engages in suicide bombings, targets civilians for assassination, and uses improvised explosive devices.”

Alwan is a native of Iraq who was admitted to the United States as a refugee in 2009. According to the Department of Justice’s press release, “Alwan, whose fingerprints were found on an unexploded IED found in Iraq, pleaded guilty earlier in the case on December 16, 2011, to all counts of a 23-count federal indictment. He pleaded guilty to conspiring to kill U.S. nationals abroad; conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction (explosives) against U.S. nationals abroad; distributing information on the manufacture and use of IEDs; attempting to provide material support to terrorists and to AQI; and conspiring to transfer, possess, and export Stinger missiles.” (emphasis added). During the investigation, while “unwittingly working with an FBI informant, Alwan drew diagrams of roadside bomb models and boasted about attacks on American troops in Iraq.” In a discussion with an FBI informant, Alwan allegedly said that he was skilled with a sniper rifle, and that his “lunch and dinner would be an American [soldier].”

– On January 29, 2013, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, Mohanad Shareef Hammadi was sentenced to life in prison for a number of offenses related to terrorism. Charges against him included attempting to provide material support to terrorists and to AQI; conspiring to transfer, possess, and export Stinger missiles; and making a false statement in an immigration application.”

President Trump’s refugee ban is common sense.
There is no reason any of these people should have been allowed into our country.
If President Trump is to be criticized for anything, it should be for not making his ban even broader.

Trump: Decision On Moving U.S. Embassy To Jerusalem Coming Soon
By Pamela Geller - on January 31, 2017
Jerusalem is the ancient capital of the Jews. Recognizing it is only right and proper. As for the Islamic threats against such a move, if it weren’t Jerusalem, it would be something else. The Philistines have recognize the Jewish state and abandon the jihad doctrine that commands them to “drive them put from where they drove you out” (Qur’an 2:191). It is falsely but universally applied to Israel, and prevents any recognition of Israel’s right to exist by Palestinian groups.

The United States has scores of embassies in the countries all around the world. Every one of our embassies are in that nation’s capital — except one. Israel – that is just plain wrong.

Prime Minister Netanyahu is due here shortly for a visit. I suspect that is when they will announce.

By Jack Tonhaben, Breitbart, 31 Jan 2017:

U.S. president Donald Trump said in an interview Sunday that a “very big decision” is coming soon on moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

“I’m looking at it…We are studying it very, very long and hard. You know it’s a very big decision, because every president for the last number of presidents … they’ve come in and they were going to do it and then all of a sudden they decide they don’t want to get involved. It’s a big, big decision, but we’re studying the issue right now,” Trump told CBN’s David Brody in a 25-minute interview posted on the station’s website on Sunday.

“I’ve always liked the concept of doing it, I will tell you that,” Trump continued. “I will have a decision in the not-too-distant future. … We are doing very detailed studies on that, and we’ll come out very soon. I hate to do that because that’s not usually me — studies — usually I do what’s right. But this has two sides to it; it’s not easy, and I will make a decision over the not-too-distant future.”

During the campaign, Trump pledged that he would move the embassy if he won the presidency. But unlike his predecessors – many of whom made similar promises only to renege on them while in office – Trump’s administration seems to be more serious about doing so.

The White House staff has, however, put a damper on things since the inauguration.

Last week, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer answered a reporter’s question on the issue saying it was “very early in this process, and [Trump’s] team is going to continue to consult with stakeholders as we get there.”

On Sunday, during a weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told ministers, “Our relations [with the US] are tight and getting tighter, and I would like to take this opportunity to make it unequivocally clear that our position has always been, and will always be, that the US Embassy needs to be here, in Jerusalem.”

“Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and it is proper that not only should the American embassy be here, but all embassies should come here, and I believe that over time most of them will indeed come here, to Jerusalem,” the prime minister continued.

The Palestinians have threatened to resort to violence if the embassy is moved.

Two weeks ago, the Israeli security establishment presented Netanyahu and other cabinet ministers with scenarios for a deterioration in the security situation if the Palestinians make good on their threat.

One of the assessments, however, was that the move, if undertaken, will not rouse the Palestinian street and the reaction will take place mainly on the diplomatic and declarative levels.

Obama rejects comparison between Trump’s immigration policy and his own, encourages violent protests
By Pamela Geller - on January 30, 2017

Former radical president, Barack Hussein is a liar. He did block Iraqi refugees – his vicious denial speaks to what we have had to deal with over past eight years.

Obama is lying in order to incite to revolution. President of the United States is agitating for civil war.

By Juliet Eilperin, Washington Post, January 30, 2017:

Former president Barack Obama rejected the idea Monday that President Trump based his immigration executive order on a policy adopted by his own administration, and he endorsed the protests that have been taking place across the country in response to the new restrictions.

Trump has said that his move to ban the entry of migrants from seven Muslim-majority countries into the United States, and to suspend temporarily the admission of refugees, was based in part on a decision in 2011 by then-President Obama to ban the admission of Iraqis to the country after evidence surfaced that two Iraqis seeking resettlement had been linked to terrorist activity in their homeland. The Obama and Trump administrations also identified the same seven countries as harboring terrorism threats.

Former Obama administration officials have denied that there was ever a halt to the awarding of visas to Iraqis, though the processing of these applications slowed after they were subject to more intense scrutiny.

Obama, who has remained publicly silent about his successor since leaving office 10 days ago, pledged before leaving office to only speak about Trump’s policy moves “where I think our core values may be at stake.” On Monday, his spokesman Kevin Lewis said in a statement, “With regard to comparisons to President Obama’s foreign policy decisions, as we’ve heard before, the President fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion.”

Alluding to the widespread protests taking place in major airports and cities in response to the new immigration policy, Lewis said that Obama “is heartened by the level of engagement taking place in communities around the country.”

PEDOPHILIA ALLOWED: Denmark Asylum Centers Muslim “Children allowed to sleep with their older husbands on the weekends”
By FreedomDaily
But of course it’s against the law except for muslims…

From Pam Geller:  With the mass Muslim migration into Eurabia comes the Islamic law and its attendant misogyny, pedophilia and misogyny. That’s to be expected. What was not expected when I began to engage in this fight 15 years ago was the sanction of this brutal and extreme ideology by Western leaders in academia, media and politics.

Girls down to the age of 14 seek asylum in Denmark as child brides.
The younger ones stay at a special asylum center for children.
Many of them have a husband with a residence permit.
They are allowed to sleep with their older husbands in the weekends.

Several political parties wish to stop this.
Naser Khader (very responsible conservative who is pretty much against Islam all together) says that these people should not be allowed to get asylum at all.

Sofie Carsten Nielsen from the political party “De radikale” literally translating to “The radicals” says: “It is in regards to the law the same as mismanagement of children. If a 14 year old is married, it must be arranged. The asylum center and police need to respond to this.

Integration Minister Inger Støjberg (very hated for her stand on immigration) wants to stop that the children are allowed to sleep with their husbands in the weekends.

[Age of consent in Denmark is according to a quick Google search 15 years old.
You can get married at 18.

This is PC out of control. People are so afraid to be called racist that they will go along with ANYTHING and allow ANYTHING from Muslims, even pedophilia.]

Pakistan Court Acquits All 115 Suspects in Burning of Christians’ Homes
By Cheryl Chumley - on January 31, 2017
A court in Pakistan acquitted 115 suspects who were charged with setting the homes of more than 150 Christian families on fire, saying there wasn’t enough evidence to go forward with the case.

The Christians said their homes were set ablaze because their Muslim perpetrators accused them of blasphemy against the prophet Mohammed.
A mob in Pakistan watch as Christian homes are burned.
Chaudhry Muhammad Azam, the anti-terrorism court judge for the district of Lahore, said prosecutors didn’t provide enough facts to show the suspects broke the Anti-Terrorism Act, or that they were guilty of murder, robbery, arson and terrorism, the Indian Express reported.

A lawyer for the prosecution, however, said the judge was wrong.

“This incident not only spread a wave of terrorism in Lahore,” the prosecutor said, the Christian Post reported, “but also brought a bad name to Pakistan.”
The arson took place on March 8, 2013, and was regarded as the largest act of anti-Christian violence since 2009, when nine Christians were killed in the same province of Punjab.

The Christian Post has the story:

“Police arrested the accused two days after a mob of about 3,000 Muslims armed with sticks, clubs and stones burned at least 150 houses of Christians, a church and shops in the Joseph Colony area in Lahore over allegations that a Christian had made derogatory remarks about the Prophet Muhammad.

“After the incident, a Supreme Court bench, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, reprimanded the government of Punjab and the province’s police for failing to protect members of the minority community. Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh, a member of the bench, said the violence took place ‘right under the nose of Punjab Police and there was total inaction.’

“The court also said at the time that police at the ‘highest level’ may have been told not to take action when the violence erupted.

“The accused in the blasphemy case, identified as 26-year-old Sawan Masih, and the complainant, his Muslim friend identified as Imran Shahid, had quarreled under the influence of liquor, but the latter claimed it was a case of insulting the Prophet Muhammad.

“‘Both Imran and Sawan are close friends and the former has made the allegation only to settle a personal score because they had quarreled over some petty matter,’ a local resident, Dilawar Masih, who lost his house and shop in the attack, was quoted as saying at the time. He added that the attackers burned their houses even after the accused had been arrested.

“Blasphemy is punishable by life in prison or even death in Pakistan.”

New York Times Journalist Calls for Assassination of President Trump
By Pamela Geller - on January 30, 2017
The left is unmasked and the American people are seeing finally and clearly the evil that has been working against them for decades. No longer hiding behind a curtain of respectability and objectivity, they cannot control themselves.

This woman should be in jail.

During a days-long invective against the newly inaugurated President, on Twitter in which Knight called Mr Trump a “moron”, “mad”, “needy”, and an “arse”, among other things, before telling him to “shut up”, she mused “the assassination is taking such a long time.”

Knight’s attitude is directly in-line with the British media class, many of whom she has cheered on via Twitter over the last few days.

Watching the joint press conference held by Mr Trump and the British Prime Minister Theresa May, in which they heralded a rebooting of the Special Relationship between their two countries, Knight retweeted a post by Buzzfeed political editor Jim Waterstone which implied that the American Secret Service were so incompetent that they couldn’t understand the British conventional way of rendering dates into numerical format (day-month-year).

Another from fellow Times journalist Hugo Rifkind highlighted that the British press had use the question and answer session to call Trump a racist and a liar.

Mosques and flats are stormed by 800 Austrian police in huge anti-terror raids
By Pamela Geller - on January 28, 2017
Europe is under siege. It’s just a matter of time.

Mosques and flats are stormed by 800 Austrian police in huge anti-terror raids to break network of preacher who brainwashed teenagers to fight for ISIS
Several people have been arrested after the huge anti-terror raids in Austria
Hundreds of police entered apartments and unofficial mosques in the two cities
Raids targeted former Yugoslavians suspected of establishing jihadist network

By Julian Robinson for MailOnline, Daily Mail, January 26, 2017:

Mosques and flats have been stormed by 800 Austrian police in a bid to break the network of a preacher suspected of brainwashing teenagers to fight for ISIS.

Authorities say 11 people have been arrested after the huge anti-terror raids which took place across Graz and in the capital Vienna.

Officers entered apartments and unofficial mosques in the two cities as part of the crackdown, which targeted people from the former Yugoslavia suspected of establishing a jihadist network in Austria, according to Austrian media.

The raids were reportedly not connected to last week’s arrest of a suspected 17-year-old Islamist extremist in Vienna.

Instead, police said the raids allegedly focused on the network of a Muslim preacher from Bosnia who was jailed for 20 years last July in Graz for recruiting young fighters to ISIS.

The accused, known as Ebu Tejma, is thought to have ‘brainwashed’ dozens of people aged between 14 and 30 and enlisted a number of them to fight for ISIS in Syria.

Tejma fled from Bosnia to Vienna following the break-up of Yugoslavia and preached in various Austrian and southern German cities, becoming a ‘key figure’ in pushing IS propaganda, according to the prosecution.
Several people have been arrested after the huge anti-terror raids which took place across Graz (file picture) and in the capital Vienna
He was arrested during a far-reaching crackdown on Austrian jihadist networks in 2014 and has denied the charges against him.

Eight men were initially detained, including three Austrians ‘with a migration background’, two Bosnians, a Syrian, a Bulgarian and a Macedonian, all aged between 21 and 49, a spokesman said.

Four of the arrests were in Vienna and four in Graz. A further three suspects from the Balkans were later also arrested in Graz.

Austria has so far been spared by the string of attacks by Islamist extremists in other European countries in recent years.

But around 300 people have either left or were intercepted trying to leave Austria to fight in Syria, according to the interior ministry. Around 40 have died there while some 90 have come back.

On Friday, police detained an Austrian national of Albanian origin for allegedly planning a terror attack in Vienna.

George Soros Hatchet Man David Brock’s Memo Outlining Plans to Attack Trump Memo @MMFA
By Pamela Geller - on January 26, 2017
One can only begin to imagine what we don’t see. Soros has doled out hundreds of millions of dollars to these Ellsworth Toohey wannabes.
BY: Joe Schoffstal, WFB January 26, 2017 (thanks to Todd):
David Brock, the seasoned liberal operative and Clinton loyalist who founded Media Matters, huddled with more than 100 donors last weekend at the swanky Turnberry Isle Resort in Aventura, Fla. to map out how Democrats will “kick Donald Trump’s ass.”

The Washington Free Beacon attended the retreat and obtained David Brock’s private and confidential memorandum from the meeting. The memo, “Democracy Matters: Strategic Plan for Action,” outlines Brock’s four-year agenda to attack Trump and Republicans using Media Matters, American Bridge, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), and Shareblue.

The memo contains plans for defeating Trump through impeachment, expanding Media Matters’ mission to combat “government misinformation,” ensuring Democratic control of the Senate in the 2018 midterm elections, filing lawsuits against the Trump administration, monetizing political advocacy, using a “digital attacker” to delegitimize Trump’s presidency and damage Republicans, and partnering with Facebook to combat “fake news.”

Brock sought to raise $40 million in 2017 for his organizations, and hoped the retreat would lead to the creation of a liberal donor network to rival the network of the conservative Koch brothers.

Below is the confidential memo in its entirety.

Stop Operation Soros (SOS): Massive Movement To Overthrow George Soros Explodes In Macedonia
By Pamela Geller - on January 22, 2017
A major new initiative called Stop Operation Soros (SOS), a movement dedicated to stopping the evil machinations of Nazi collaborator billionaire George Soros, has taken off in Macedonia.

The SOS founders called on citizens around the world to “fight against one-mindedness in the civil sector, which is devised and led by George Soros.” The movement has been set up to expose the ‘subversive activities of all of George Soros’s organizations. Hungary has also taken to steps to clamp down on Soros funded organizations by banning them from the country.

RT, 19 Jan, 2017 15:36

A new initiative, Stop Operation Soros (SOS), dedicated to countering the influence of American billionaire activist George Soros, has been launched in Macedonia.

In a press conference on Tuesday, the founders of the group called on all “free-minded citizens,” regardless of ethnicity or religion, to join them in the “fight against one-mindedness in the civil sector, which is devised and led by George Soros,” the Vecer newspaper reported. The movement says it will first focus on uncovering ‘subversive’ activities by Soros-funded NGOs.

According to Nikola Srbov, a columnist for pro-government news portal Kurir and co-founder of SOS, Soros-funded NGOs have monopolized civil society in Macedonia and used their position to suppress dissenting views.

“We’ve witnessed the takeover of the entire civil sector and its abuse and instrumentalization to meet the goals of one political party. That is unacceptable and goes beyond the principles of civic organizing,” Srbov said at the press conference.

“The Open Society Foundation, operating under the Soros umbrella, used its funding and personnel to support violent processes in Macedonia. It has monopolized the civil society sector, pushing outside any organization which disagrees with the Soros ideology,” he stated.

Another co-founder, Cvetin Cilimanov, editor-in-chief of the state-run MIA news agency, accused Soros’s Open Society Foundations of undermining Macedonian sovereignty by working not only with the opposition center-left SDSM party, but also with outside interests. By cooperating with foreign embassies and organizations such as USAID, Cilimanov believes Soros-backed groups have interfered in the political process of Macedonia.

“This is unacceptable and has largely contributed to a feeling in the public that the traditional relations of partnership Macedonia enjoyed with some countries are being undermined,” Cilimanov told journalists.

A third founder of the initiative and editor-in-chief of the Republika news portal, Nenad Mircevski, declared that the group would work towards the “de-Soros-ization” of Macedonia, echoing a speech made by former prime minister and leader of the ruling VMRO-DPMNE party Nikola Gruevski in December. In the speech, Gruevski accused foreign powers and Soros-backed organizations of meddling in Macedonian politics.

Opposition figures have expressed concern at the rhetoric used by Gruevski, fearing the start of a crackdown on dissent and advocacy groups.

The Open Society Foundation (OSF) was set up by Hungarian-born Soros between the mid-1980s to early 1990s with the stated aim of helping former Eastern bloc countries transition from communism. However, aside from its support for progressive causes such as drug policy reform, the OSF has also been involved in political activities and Soros publically supported the violent overthrow of the legitimately-elected government in Ukraine during the ‘Euromaidan’ revolution. This has earned him the ire of Russian authorities, which in 2015 banned Soros and his foundations as a threat to national security.

Soros and his foundations have come under scrutiny elsewhere as well. In an interview with the internet portal 888.hu in December, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that 2017 would bring about “the extrusion of George Soros and the forces symbolized by him.” Orban has accused Soros of undermining European borders and values by helping facilitate the flow of refugees and asylum seekers from the Middle East and elsewhere. During a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything), WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange also blasted the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, funded by Soros, for focusing “exclusively on negative stories about Russia and former Soviet states.”

America’s SHAME: Liberals target and abuse ARMY VETERANS in shocking anti-Trump protest
By Pamela Geller - on January 21, 2017
The left wants war — and they are going to get it. I was in DC for the inauguration, and I can tell you, it’s a warzone. Good versus evil.

This is the poison fruit of leftwing/communist activism in America going back to the 1960s. In 1967, the German student movement leader Rudi Dutschke reformulated communist thinker Antonio Gramsci’s philosophy of cultural hegemony, saying that changing the West, subjugating freedom, required a long march through the society’s institutions — media, academia, and the pulpit. It worked in remaking American society into something unrecognizable to until now. Their crowning achievement was uber-left activist Barack Hussein Obama. They will not retreat quietly.

This is indicative of a deep-rooted problem, which is not just restricted to America. Radical action is required — the teachers of these scum should be purged.

President Trump returns bust of Churchill to Oval Office
By Pamela Geller - on January 21, 2017
Exhale. Freedom is back.

“Obama started his presidency by returning to the British Embassy the bust of Winston Churchill that had graced the Oval Office,” Krauthammer said at the time. The bust of Sir Winston Churchill by Sir Jacob Epstein was a gift to the United States in the wake of 9/11 as a signal of the strong transatlantic relationship.

President Trump has returned it to its rightful place.

By Dave Boyer – The Washington Times – Friday, January 20, 2017

On his first day in office, President Trump brought back a bust of the legendary British prime minister to the West Wing, after President Obama had removed it. Mr. Obama replaced it with a bust of Martin Luther King Jr.

Reporters who were summoned to the Oval Office Friday night to witness Mr. Trump signing an executive order noticed the Churchill bust had been returned to the Oval Office.

British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson had speculated that Mr. Obama removed Churchill’s bust in part because he is “part-Kenyan,” and was motivated by anti-colonial feelings. Mr. Obama refuted that, saying he had moved the bust to a place of prominence in his private office in the White House residence.

“I love Winston Churchill, I love the guy,” Mr. Obama said.

Mr. Trump did more redecorating, replacing Mr. Obama’s crimson drapes in the Oval Office with gold ones. He also added a bust of Teddy Roosevelt on one of the bookshelves, and swapped out some of Mr. Obama’s artwork in the presidential office.

Exiting Obama Sends Another $500 Million to U.N. Climate Fund
By Cheryl Chumley - on January 18, 2017
President Obama, in his final days of office, announced through his State Department he’s sending a quick cool $500 million to the United Nations for its climate fund, a global coffer that’s been criticized by watchdogs and congressional members as little more than a slush pile for international political deal-making.

United Nations, UN
President Obama spent a quick $500 million of taxpayer dollars on U.N. climate change matters, over the objections of members of Congress who say the global body’s fund is little more than a slush pile for political panderings.
Obama’s last-minute rush to disburse the money comes just a few days before Donald Trump is due for his swearing-in ceremony. The president-elect has vowed to “cancel billions in global warming payments to the United Nations” and send the money instead to “environmental infrastructure” in America, CNS News reported.

As Patrick Goodenough with CNS reported:

“The $500 million is the second transfer to the Green Climate Fund, whose aim is to help developing countries reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and adapt to occurrences blamed on climate change such as rising sea-levels and drought.

“President Obama pledged $3 billion to the GCF over four years, and a first instalment, also $500 million, was paid last March.

“Critics in Congress at the time charged that the disbursement was a waste of taxpayers’ money, and pointed out that Congress had not authorized or appropriated any funding for the GCF.

“Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), who has led the criticism, on Tuesday called the latest payment ‘an insult to American taxpayers.’

“‘The hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars the Obama administration spent on the United Nations Green Climate Fund were never approved by Congress,’ he said.

“‘The Obama administration is now sending this slush fund another $500 million in its final days in the White House,’ Barrasso added. ‘This is a complete disregard for the will of the voters and an insult to American taxpayers.'”
As the BBC reported, Trump could put a stop to the funding. And Secretary of State John Kerry sent out a statement about the timing of the payment, assuring there was nothing untoward intended.

“It’s not being done to try to provoke a reaction from the incoming administration or to try to dictate to them one way or the other how they are going to deal with climate issues,” Kerry said, BBC reported. “This is an investment that had been long planned.”

Obama Slams Israel for Stalling Talks on ‘Effective, Contiguous Palestinian State’
By Cheryl Chumley - on January 16, 2017
President Obama, in what’s very likely his last televised interview on “60 Minutes” on CBS News, denied any sort of U.S.-Israeli breakdown in warm relations under his administration – but then slammed the Jewish state for what he described as tossing away any chance for peace with the Palestinian people.
President Obama in one of his final television interviews turned critical eyes toward Israel and faulted the Jewish state for settlement building.
Specifically, Obama said Israel’s settlements have “gotten so substantial” that they are preventing any chance to forge an “effective, contiguous Palestinian state,” he said.

The Daily Mail has the story:

“Speaking to CBS’ 60 Minutes, Obama dismissed the idea that there is a ‘major rupture’ in the relationship between the United States and Israel after last month’s decision by the U.S. to abstain from a United Nations vote condemning Israeli settlements.

“‘Because of our investment in the region, and because we care so deeply about Israel, I think (the U.S.) has a legitimate interest in saying to a friend, ‘This is a problem,’ Obama said.

“‘It would have long-term consequences for peace and security in the region, and the United States.'”
Israel’s settlements are on land captured after the Six-Day War in 1967 with Egypt, Jordan and Syria and the armies of Lebanon.

The United Nations, pressed by Palestinians and governments unfriendly to Israel, has since maintained a political view the Jewish state does not rightly belong on the property.

Again, from the Daily Mail:

“Most countries view the settlements as an obstacle to peace. Israel disagrees, citing a biblical, historical and political connection to the land, as well as security interests. Washington considers the settlement activity illegitimate.

“The Obama administration clashed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government in late December after the US broke with a longstanding approach of diplomatically shielding Israel.

“The US abstained on a UN Security Council resolution that declared Israeli settlements in the West Bank criminal in nature. It passed with 14 countries in favor and none against.

“In response, Netanyahu accused the Obama administration of not just abandoning its customary U.N veto, but authoring the resolution.”
Donald Trump, meanwhile, has taken a decided stance in favor of Israel. He’s tweeted support for the Jewish state, telling Israelites to “stay strong” and reminding January 20 and his rise to the White House “is fast approaching” and reminding Obama’s on his way out.

UN: Target Islamic Terror NOT Israel Protest- NYC
By Pamela Hall - on January 15, 2017
Thursday, January 12 at 12:30 PM and the Stand United With Israel demonstration outside the French
Mission to the UN was protesting the upcoming January 15 Paris “peace” conference. A crowd of 100’s UNited
with Israel, sending a strong message prior to the Mid- East Summit in Paris being held on January 15th.

“We will NOT allow the UN and her gang of Israel haters to target Israel unjustifiably!”

“NO MORE anti-Israel documents or resolutions!”“The UN’s attempt to revise and erase Jewish history is

“We call on the UN to focus on REAL issues such as Syrian
Genocide and Global Islamic Terror instead of vilifying
Israel unjustly.”

Leading the event was Hillary Markowitz, who after brief comments, introduced Jeffrey Wiesenfeld. I wasn’t able to stay for all of the speakers , but Wiesenfled led the way with a an impassioned but eloquent speech.

An excerpt from AFSI Co-Executive Director Helen Freedman comments at the rally:

Let me tell you how the Israelis are handling the despicable UNSC 2334, Kerry’s speech, the upcoming Paris Conference and the threatened action in the UN next Tuesday. I just returned from a trip to Israel with Governor Huckabee which was an affirmation of Israel’s rights as a Sovereign nation. We went to the Old City of Jerusalem, to Amona, Maaleh Adumim, Hebron, and Sderot, the so-called “occupied” places that are blamed for the failure of the “peace process”. Concern that declaring sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, and moving the US embassy to Jerusalem would be “burying the prospects of a PA state” is ignorant and meaningless, at the same time that Israel buries its young victims of terror and the PA world celebrates.

The Israelis are understandably counting the days and minutes until the Trump inauguration.

“Support Israel – Freedom and Democracy- NOT ISLAMIC TERRORISM!”
And one last statement from Helen Freedman (AFSI.org) and her Letter to the Editor
at the NY Post on “Undoing UN Resolution 2334”

The Post’s Jan. 9 “Fast Take” on “How Trump Can Undo Kerry’s Jerusalem Damage”
is right on the money. Eugene Kontorovich lists five ways of negating Security Council
Resolution 2334, which condemns Israel for just about everything – and Kerry’s speech
which labels Israel the great “occupier.” In order to erase these blights, the Trump
administration should follow through on its promises regarding Israel.

First and foremost is the recognition that Israel is not “occupying” its own land, that the
communities in Judea and Samaria are legal. The Edmond Levy report is just one legal
paper with those findings. The ongoing effort in Israel today is to apply sovereignty to
all of Israel so as to put an end to claims of illegal “occupation.”

Despite Kerry’s warning that moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem would inflame the
Middle East, giving tacit encouragement to Israel’s enemies, the U.S. embassy should
certainly join those of Costa Rica and El Salvador in Israel’s capital city. As Kontorovich
suggests, in addition it should be moved to “a few hundred meters over the imaginary
line across which the UN says Jews may not go,” thereby straddling eastern and western
Jerusalem and tacitly proclaiming that the city is undivided and will remain that way.

Kontorovich makes other excellent suggestions, all of which strengthen Israel and invalidate
much of the UN’s venom. My suggestion is that the U.S. remove all funding from the U.N.
and encourage it to leave NYC. It would be great to have that beautiful waterfront property
returned to New Yorkers.

Army deployed’ as massive anti-terror police launch raid in Molenbeek, Belgium
By Pamela Geller - on January 14, 2017
Mollebeek, a Muslim enclave and a hotbed of jihad terrorism. These enclaves continue to increase and populate countries all across Europe.

It was in Molenbeek that the Paris jihad mass murderers hid out safely for weeks, shielded by the Islamic terror underground.

By Joey Millar, The Express, Jan 14, 2017

While it is unclear how many officers are involved in the raid, a police helicopter is currently hovering over the area.

Several streets remain closed by police following the start of the raid at around 6.15pm local time (7.15pm GMT).

Belgian historian Pieter Van Ostaeyen reported the army has been deployed in the area.

He tweeted: “#Molenbeek Brussels 4 or more houses searched by police forces. Increased presence of military and police reported #Belgium”

Brussels police, however, refused to say who they were targetting in the raids.

A spokeswoman said: “Several raids are being carried out as part of an investigation into terrorist activities.”

The neighbourhood in Brussels has become asssociated with extremism in recent years.
Three terrorists believed to be involved in the Paris attacks of November 2015 had grown up and lived in the area.

Salah Abdeslam, one of the suspects, was captured in March last year in a shoot-out with police.

Muslim Group Recruiting for ISIS SUES Germany Over Quran Distribution Ban
By Pamela Geller - on December 19, 2016
The Muslim group that is suing the German government is a jihadi organization inciting to holy war. A couple of weeks ago German authorities launched a counter-terror operation against this Islamic group. Their members were recruiting young Muslims to the Islamic State. Last month, police swooped on around 200 apartments, offices, mosques and a warehouse – where they seized numerous pieces of evidence.

As is their wont, this jihadi group, “True Religion,” registered as a social work entity, zakat (charity), typical of Islamic deceit (see Holy Land Foundation). The work of this “charity” was distributing the Quran in pedestrianized areas and public squares across the country, “bridging the gap between the West and Islam.”

“The organization brings Islamic jihadists together under the pretext of the harmless distribution of the Quran,” German Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière told reporters in Berlin. He added that the ban had “nothing to do with the alleged freedom of religion.”

Now they are suing the German government. Litigation jihad. We know it well. And we know how liberal judges rule.

Especially when policy is incoherent: “Handing out the Koran is not banned, since it’s like handing out the bible, but misusing this practice to propagate Islamism is banned.”

Muslim group to SUE over Koran ban after being accused of recruiting ISIS jihadist

THE HEAD of a German organisation has lashed out against a ban prohibiting members from distributing copies of the Koran after authorities accused it of recruiting jihadists to fight with Islamic State (ISIS).

By Vickiie Oliphant and Monika Pallenberg, The Express, December 18, 2016
The group, which calls itself True Religion (DWR), began distributing free copies and translations of the Islamic religious book alongside the slogan ‘LIES’ in 2011, but have been active for as long as 11 years.
Set up by Palestinian-preacher Ibrahim Abou Nagie, the organisation advocates a return to the “true Islam” and members have been recorded publicly denouncing democracy as the enemy to Islamic values.
But four weeks ago, the group was banned by German interior minister Thomas de Maiziere after he accused the organisation of radicalising young members .
The group began handing out free copies of the Quran in 2011
True Religion has not been accused of any links to terrorism in Germany or on European soil. But it has faced allegations that it has deliberately set out to radicalise young German men and women, and encourage them to travel to Syria and Iraq to join ISIS and other extreme jihadist groups. As many as 140 youths have already left for the Middle East to join the extremists after becoming involved with True Religion, according to the interior minister.
As many as 140 members have already left for the Middle East to join ISIS
Mr de Maiziere made it clear the True Religion ban was not a ban on Muslim groups or the Quran
Mr de Maiziere said: “We don’t want terrorism in Germany, and we don’t want to export terrorism.”Last month, police swooped on around 200 apartments, offices, mosques and a warehouse – where they seized numerous pieces of “evidence”, although no one was arrested during the raids. The interior minister stressed the ban is not a move to ban Islamic beliefs, nor distribution of the Koran.
He said: “The ban is not for the Islam belief in general, muslim life has a secure place in German society, freedom of religion is for everyone.

“Handing out the Koran is not banned, since it’s like handing out the bible, but misusing this practice to propagate Islamism is banned.”

One of the places stormed during the raid’s was an apartment in a high-rise building in Bonn where the sect’s leader Mr Abou-Nagie, 52, lives.

He was hauled out of bed and off for questioning along with hate preacher Said El Emrani 34, who goes by the name Abu Dujana.

Robert Spencer: The SPLC’s “Terror from the Right” Deception
By Robert Spencer - on December 11, 2016
SPLCPulse club Orlando Florida

The Daily Caller reported Thursday that “the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) considers the Orlando nightclub shooting, an ISIS-inspired attack that left 49 dead, a right-wing plot, along with the shootings of police officers by anti-white terrorists.”

The SPLC’s list, “Terror from the Right,” claims to be “a synopsis of radical-right terrorist plots, conspiracies and racist rampages,” but it includes Islamic jihadist Omar Mateen’s massacre at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando.

As Mateen was doing his killing, he paused several times to call 911. Among his statements as he was murdering 49 people: “I pledge my allegiance to [unidentifiable name] on behalf of the Islamic State…Call me Mujahideen…my name is Islamic soldier.”

As far as the Southern Poverty Law Center is concerned, that’s “Terror from the Right.” Remember that the next time you hear someone say that attacks from “right-wing extremists” are more common than attacks from Islamic jihadists.

What’s ironic is that it was the Orlando jihad massacre that exploded the common lie (which still circulates) that “right-wing extremists” are responsible for more murders in the United States than Islamic jihadists. Georgetown University professor Engy Abdelkader recently appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox show and made the outlandish claim that the FBI had said that “white supremacist groups” were more of a terror threat than Islamic jihadists.

The FBI made no such claim; in reality, it originated with far-Left pressure groups. Back in June 2015, the George Soros-funded New America Foundation published a study that garnered enthusiastic international publicity, as it purported to demonstrate that “right-wing extremists” and “white supremacists” were a larger threat to the U.S. than Islamic jihadis.

The mainstream media was thrilled. Mediaite crowed: “White Americans Are Biggest Terror Threat in U.S.” The New York Times exulted: “Homegrown Extremists Tied to Deadlier Toll Than Jihadists in U.S. Since 9/11.” The Huffington Post cheered: “White Supremacists More Dangerous To America Than Foreign Terrorists, Study Says.” NPR rejoiced: “Right-Wing Extremists More Dangerous Than Islamic Terrorists In U.S.” TruthDig was thrilled: “White Right-Wing Terrorists Are Biggest Threat to Americans, Study Finds.” And on and on.

The media delight stemmed from the fact that the study confirmed its biases and relentless endeavor to downplay and deny the jihad threat. Thus the New York Times and NPR and the rest were not in the least interested in the fact that the New America Foundation study was obviously skewed, as it was based on the number of those killed by jihadis and by right-wing extremists since September 12, 2001, leaving out 9/11. The study also ignored the many, many foiled jihad plots, and the fact that jihadis are part of an international movement that has killed many thousands of people, while right-wingers and white supremacists are not. It stated that right-wing extremists had killed 48 people from September 12, 2001 to June 2015, while Islamic jihadists had killed only 26 people in the U.S. in that span. If 9/11 had been added, the tally would have been 3,032 killed by Islamic jihadists and 48 by purported right-wing extremists.

But all right, let’s play by the New America Foundation’s rules.

Obama Defends Islam, Blames America for Fueling ‘Terrorist Narrative’
By Cheryl Chumley - on December 8, 2016

President Obama tipped his delusionary hat during a speech in Tampa, Florida, this week, telling the assembled crowd that Islam ought not to be slandered as a religion that fosters terrorism, and in fact, it’s America’s failures to recognize “good patriotic Muslims” that’s fueling violence.

Some in the saner world of thinking might say tying the two together is calling a spade a spade, as based on historical evidence.

It'd be nice if President Obama would stop blaming America for fueling terrorism and finally admit, before he leaves office, that Islam actually promotes such violence.
It’d be nice if President Obama would stop blaming America for fueling terrorism and finally admit, before he leaves office, that Islam actually promotes such violence.
But not Obama.

As Breitbart reported:
“Obama said, ‘We are fighting terrorists who claim to fight on behalf of Islam. but they do not speak for over a billion Muslims around the world. And they do not speak for American Muslims, including many who wear the uniform of the United States of America’s military. If we stigmatize good patriotic Muslims, that just feeds the terrorist narrative. It fuels the same false grievances that they use to motivate people to kill.'”
Can this man leave office soon enough?

He wasn’t done with his admonitions yet. Again, Breitbart:

“‘If we act like this is a war between the United States and Islam, we’re not just going to lose more Americans to terrorist attacks, but we’ll also lose sight of the very principles we claim to defend,’ he continued. ‘So let me final words to you as your commander in chief, be a reminder of what it is you’re fighting for, what it is that we are fighting for. The United States of America is not a country that imposes religious tests as a price for freedom. We’re a country that was founded so that people could practice their faiths as they choose. The United States of America is not a place where some citizens have to withstand greater scrutiny or carry a special ID card or prove that they’re not an enemy from within.'”

Robert Spencer: If Trump Proposal Had Been In Place, OSU Jihad Attack Wouldn’t Have Happened
By Robert Spencer - on December 4, 2016
MUSLIM IMMIGRATIONabdul-ohio-state
Muslim “refugee” and Ohio State University student Abdul Razak Ali Artan last week set off a fire alarm on campus, the drove his car into the crowd of students evacuating the building. Then he jumped out of his car and began stabbing people with a butcher knife. This latest jihad attack on American soil vindicates President-elect Trump on Muslim immigration.

After the attack, Trump tweeted: “ISIS is taking credit for the terrible stabbing attack at Ohio State University by a Somali refugee who should not have been in our country.” Indeed, not only should Artan not have been in the country, but if the proposals that Trump has advanced regarding Muslim immigration had been in place, he would not have been, and the attack at Ohio State University would never have happened.

Trump has called for a temporary moratorium on immigration from countries that are hotbeds of jihad terror activity. KARE11.com reported that “Artan was a Somali refugee and Ohio State student who left his homeland with his family in 2007. They lived in Pakistan before coming to the U.S., where Artan became a permanent resident in 2014.”

Somalia and Pakistan: two epicenters of the global jihad. If Trump had been President and his ban had been in place, Abdul Razak Ali Artan would never have entered the United States at all.

This sensible approach to Muslim immigration is long overdue. Back in 2008, I wrote this in my book Stealth Jihad, among my proposals for how the jihad, both violent and stealthy, could be stymied in the United States:

End Muslim immigration to the United States. This is a simple matter of national security. Immigration policy must work toward the integration of all immigrants, and the all-encompassing societal program of sharia makes the integration of pious Muslims ultimately impossible. While there are undoubtedly millions of Muslims who have no interest in jihad either by violence or stealth, no Islamic authorities anywhere in the world have declared heretical or in any way unacceptable the idea that non-Muslims must be fought against by various means and subjugated under the rule of Islamic law. Unless and until that begins to happen, no one can be sure of the sentiments of any individual believer. Consequently, simply to protect ourselves, there should be an end to Muslim immigration, combined with a clear notice to Muslims in the United States that any action on behalf of sharia supremacism is unacceptable.

But ending Muslim immigration to America must be considered a long-term goal, since such a measure is impossible in today’s political climate. The proposal would inevitably be denounced as “racist,” despite the fact that jihadist supremacism is not a race. But at the very least, immigration officials should immediately adopt a program to screen Muslims entering the United States for jihadist sentiments. This will provide grounds for deportation if an entrant renounces some aspect of sharia supremacism on his immigration application and then works for it once in the country.
At the time, this proposal was greeted with derision, or worse. Even in FrontPage Magazine, which is singular in recognizing the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat, then-managing editor Ben Johnson wrote: “Analyzing the problem is one thing; solving it is another. Spencer’s prescriptions on what to do will rankle some and lead to his further character assassination. He is at his best when calling for the government to impose existing laws – and most gets to the point when he calls for a revival of patriotism, the self-assurance necessary to deny Islamic encroachment, white liberal guilt, and multiculturalist recriminations of the greatest nation in the history of the world. He is at his most questionable in calling on the government to ‘End Muslim immigration into the United States.’”

Trump has changed all that, to the extent that now, even the tired, pusillanimous, cowardly “conservative” establishment, late to the party as always, as always leading from behind, is catching up. Back in January 2016, National Review denounced Trump for, among other things, his suggestion that there should be a temporary moratorium on Muslim immigration: “Not since George Wallace has there been a presidential candidate who made racial and religious scapegoating so central to his campaign. Trump launched his campaign talking about Mexican rapists and has gone on to rant about mass deportation, bans on Muslim immigration, shutting down mosques, and building a wall around America. America is an exceptional nation in large part because we’ve aspired to rise above such prejudices and guarantee life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to everyone.”

But after the OSU jihad attack, National Review published an article entitled “It’s Time for Honest Talk about Muslim Immigrationm,” saying: “Some immigrants from jihad zones will be involved in murdering Americans. Is this an acceptable price for compassion?”

That was always the concern. The time for National Review’s previous tardy and pallid me-tooism is long past. Abdul Razak Ali Artan proved that. How many more of them must there be before sane immigration policies are implemented?

Robert Spencer is the director of Jihad Watch and author of the New York Times bestsellers The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades) and The Truth About Muhammad. His latest book is The Complete Infidel’s Guide to Iran.

More fake news found on CBS Nightly News
By Larry Estavan - on December 2, 2016
CBS Nightly News shows what appears to be a staged incident brought by way of the White Helmets: “Syrian military continues assault on Aleppo,” CBS News, November 30, 2016.

The White Helmets is a faux NGO that is in reality a propaganda arm of the al Nusra Front. Although the White Helmets are presented as a humanitarian organization, there is massive evidence of them collaborating with al Nusra. The White Helmets have been discussed on The Geller Report here, but they have also been exposed by Global Research, Counter Punch, and Vanessa Beeley.

That’s right, the very same people who blubber about the Palestinians, and “institutionalized racism” in America, hate the White Helmets. That’s how bad they are.

And how bad is the Nusra Front? Nusra was among the “rebels” who hid in the Palestinian refugee camp in Syria. The Syrian government surrounded the camp in Yarmouk in response. The Nusra Front choose to continue hiding in the camp, and let the Palestinians starve to death as a result.

Palestinians starved to death by al Nusra Front
That’s how bad they are.

Yet, despite this, CBS has failed to get the memo. It is getting hard to accept this is just an accident. CBS’ bias in favor of the Muslim Brotherhood
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/muslim-scouts-hoping-to-change-perceptions/ and jihad is becoming hard to ignore. There was the CBS piece praising the Muslim Brotherhood–connected Scout leader,

another burnishing the image of the man who mocked the Charlie Hebdo murders,https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuNvYXnovPc
as well as one endorsing BLM rhetoric, and a lot about the White Helmets.

Will CBS learn its lesson about reporting fake news, Muslim Brotherhood propaganda, and sympathy for jihadists? The answer appears to be as long as Obama remains in office, they will continue to push for aid to al Qaeda in Syria, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbIrm42zYTU&feature=youtu.be&t=9m38s which is what al Nusra is.

What CBS News does during a Trump presidency remains to be seen, but as Pamela Geller points out here, the internet may very well kill the network news star.

Trump makes history with phone call to longtime ally, Taiwan
By Pamela Geller - on December 2, 2016
rump’s call to Taiwan was magnificent. I never cottoned to Nixon throwing our great ally Taiwan under the bus at the command of communist China. It was wrong. This call is long overdue. Viva la Trump!

It’s a gorgeous move — and the left is frothing at the mouth, of course.

Trump Speaks With Taiwan’s Leader, an Affront to China

WASHINGTON — President-elect Donald J. Trump spoke by telephone with Taiwan’s president on Friday, a striking break with nearly four decades of diplomatic practice that could precipitate a major rift with China even before Mr. Trump takes office.

Mr. Trump’s office said he spoke with the Taiwanese president, Tsai Ing-wen, “who offered her congratulations.”

He is believed to be the first president or president-elect who has spoken to a Taiwanese leader since 1979, when the United States severed diplomatic ties with Taiwan after its recognition of the People’s Republic of China.

In the statement, Mr. Trump’s office said the two leaders noted that “close economic, political, and security ties” exist between Taiwan and the United States. The statement also said Mr. Trump “congratulated President Tsai on becoming president of Taiwan earlier this year.”

The White House was not told about Mr. Trump’s call until after it happened, according to a senior administration official. The official spoke on ground rules of anonymity to discuss sensitive diplomatic relations.

But the potential fallout from the conversation was significant, the administration official said, noting that the Chinese government issued a bitter protest after the United States sold weapons to Taiwan as part of a well-established arms agreement.

Mr. Trump’s call with President Tsai is a far bigger provocation, though the Chinese government did not issue an immediate response. Beijing views Taiwan as a breakaway province and has adamantly opposed the attempts of any country to open official relations with it.

Canada Muslim teen wrote on Twitter: “Use a bomb, a knife, a gun or car hashtag ISIS”
By Pamela Geller - on November 20, 2016
While the enemedia inundates us with fake news about “white nationalists,” this is what is really happening, all over North America and Europe.
“‘I regret what I’ve done’: Manitoba teen charged in terrorism case,” by Josh Crabb, CTV News, November 15, 2016:

Chilling details of a Manitoba teen’s support for the terrorist group ISIS were heard in a Brandon courtroom Tuesday morning.

The teen is charged with a terrorism offence. In September, the teen pleaded guilty in Winnipeg to a charge of counselling the commission of an indictable offence for the benefit of, at the direction of or in association with a terrorist group….

A news reporter from the CBC contacted RCMP with a tip about a Twitter account indicating a teenager was planning to leave Canada to fight with ISIS.

Mahon told court the Twitter account provided was later found to belong to the youth.

Court heard the account contained messages of support for Hijrah, which involves migration to Syria or Iraq.

Court also heard the account contained a post which asked anyone who couldn’t make Hijrah to “strike from within.”

Mahon described the post in court; “It doesn’t matter how you do it, use a bomb, a knife, a gun or car hashtag ISIS.”

A search of the youth’s computer resulted in the discovery of terrorist images and propaganda.

Court heard the youth had also been in contact with a fighter from ISIS and that he had searched for the ISIS flag, ISIS video and ISIS messages on the computer….

Initially, the youth denied the Twitter account belonged to him, but later acknowledged to investigators it was his.

“He indicated he was planning to leave Canada to fight for the Islamic State,” Mahon told court. “He indicated if he was unable to travel, he would strike from within.”

“He was going to target government buildings, monuments, infrastructure such as electrical grids and federal employees.”

Mahon told court the youth indicated he conducted research to do this, and drawings and notebooks were seized by investigators….

When asked in court by the judge if he had anything to say the teen said, “I regret what I’ve done.”

“I was struggling with my identity. I’d like to apologize to my family for the stress that I’ve caused them, also to the Crown and police for using their resources and also for causing a stir in the community.”…

Saudi Arabia warns Trump on blocking oil imports
By Pamela Geller - on November 18, 2016
The Saudis were planning on having another paid-for stooge in the White House. Instead, they have a President coming in who has vowed to create “complete energy independence” for the U.S. And so they’re already resorting to “warnings,” i.e., veiled threats.

“Saudi Arabia warns Trump on blocking oil imports,” by Pilita Clark, Financial Times, November 15, 2016:

Saudi Arabia has warned Donald Trump that the incoming US president will risk the health of his country’s economy if he acts on his election promises to block oil imports.

In a sign of the difficulties Mr Trump faces over his campaign pledges to create “complete American energy independence” from “our foes and the oil cartels”, Saudi Arabia’s energy minister pointedly reminded the president-elect that the US “benefits more than anybody else from global free trade”, adding, “energy is the lifeblood of the global economy”.

“At his heart President-elect Trump will see the benefits and I think the oil industry will also be advising him accordingly that blocking trade in any product is not healthy,” Khalid al-Falih, who is also chairman of Aramco, the state-run oil company, told the Financial Times in Marrakesh, where he is leading Saudi Arabia’s delegation in UN climate talks….

“I’m disappointed because Hillary Clinton is good for Pakistan and Muslims all over the world”
By Pamela Geller - on November 9, 2016
This says it all. Why would Muslims not rejoice in a candidate who has vowed to combat jihad terror? Could it be they support it?

This article is just one of the many Muslims-are-victims pieces to which the defeated mainstream media propagandists are treating us today. None of them contain any suggestions for containing or rolling back the jihad threat, or any recognition that people are suspicious of Islam because of jihad terror, not because of Donald Trump’s rhetoric.

“I am disappointed to see Donald Trump winning because Hillary Clinton is a good woman, she is good for Pakistan and Muslims all over the world.”

The problem is that what is good for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is not necessarily good for free people, anywhere in the world.

Horror and fear swept through Muslim countries after Donald Trump was confirmed as President of the Unites States after months of anti-Islamic rhetoric.

The Republican made his most controversial remarks about Islam in December last year, sparking anger among the world’s 1.5billion followers of Islam when he called for a ban on Muslims entering the U.S. after a mass shooting in California.

Muslims across Asia were struggling this morning to accept the news the populist candidate will take office in the White House, saying that ISIS would be happy he won the presidency race.

‘Americans have just screwed the world yet again,’ said Syed Tashfin Chowdhury, a Bangladeshi who has several close friends in the US.

Thousands in the country watched in shock as the results rolled in and Facebook lit up with horrified reactions.

‘I’m very afraid, will there be more wars? Will America attack Muslim countries again?’ asked Indonesian activist Alijah Diete as Donald Trump edged closer to a shock victory in the US election….

Zuhairi Misrawi, an Islamic scholar from moderate Indonesian Islamic organisation Nahdlatul Ulama, reacted to the news by saying it would be seen as a powerplay for terrorists across the globe.

‘When the United States uses hard power, extremists gain a momentum,’ he said.

‘Those who will be the happiest when Trump wins are ISIS.’…

A teacher at a school in the United Arab Emirates told MailOnline when he broke the news of the result to his class, children told him they would never be able to go to America again.

He said: ‘It’s so sad. They are genuinely worried.

‘I didn’t think it would have this sort of affect.’

A senior Pakistani government official, speaking anonymously, called the news ‘absolutely atrocious and horrifying’ while others in the country also lamented the results.

‘I am disappointed to see Donald Trump winning because Hillary Clinton is a good woman, she is good for Pakistan and Muslims all over the world,’ said Ishaq Khan, 32, speaking at an Islamabad market.

‘She was talking about world peace – but Trump was talking about fighting against Muslims.’…

In Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim-majority country, there was growing nervousness about how the relationship with traditional ally the United States would shape up, and how a Trump presidency would affect relations between America and the Muslim world.

‘I am very concerned that the relationship between the US and Muslim countries will become tense again,’ said the female Muslim activist Diete, 47.

Nikken Suardini, who works for a law firm in the capital Jakarta, was concerned about the proposed Muslim ban, saying: ‘If he is elected president he will block Muslims from entering the US – well, that’s just not fair.’…

Tahir Ashrafi, a senior Pakistani government cleric, said: ‘We hope that Trump’s remarks against Muslims were only to boost his campaign and he will realise that Muslims are a large population in the U.S.’

A spokesman for Indonesian hardline group the Islamic Defenders’ Front said: ‘Muslims are foreigners to him.’

The Clinton Axis of Evil
ByPAMELA GELLER on November 5, 2016
Clinton Circle: MIT just released a fantastic tool based on the Wikileaks emails. This is what Clinton’s ‘circle of trust’ looks like from her emails.

The MIT Media Lab created a visualization showing connections between the tens of thousands of emails sent by the candidate from a private server when she was secretary of state.

Clinton Circle, a new analysis made by the Macro Connections group from MIT Media Lab is the first graphic proposal that shows the relationships behind email interactions and also, facilitates reading these emails. Using a tool they had previously created called Immersion, researchers loaded nearly 30,000 private mails sent or received from the Hillary Clinton email address–which have already been published by WikiLeaks.

The MIT Media Lab professor who launched this project is shocked that the media is ignoring, censoring the story. Shocked.

Cesar A. Hidalgo
With words I work. Faculty @ The MIT Media Lab
What I learned from visualizing Hillary Clinton’s emails
It all started early last week. Kevin Hu, one of my senior grad students, told me that a friend of his asked if we could use Immersion — an email visualization tool we had released in 2013 — to visualize Clinton’s Wikileaks email dataset.

The timing was not ideal for us. Kevin asked me this question when the Media Lab member event was getting started, which is a particularly busy time of the year. So my first question to Kevin was: “Can we?”

What made the project possible, besides Kevin’s amazing talents, was that we had reactivated the Immersion project a few weeks ago together with Jingxian Zhang, a new grad student in the group. Immersion had been paralyzed for two years since the students who had worked on it graduated. But Jingxian was now working to help complete the original vision of this project, and with her software engineering skills, visualizing the Wikileaks Clinton email dataset in Immersion was a possibility. So now that I knew we could do it, the question was: Should we?

Should questions are tough, especially when you need to consider a number of different variables. But before I tell you why I decided to move ahead with the project, I’ll try to make sure we are all on the same page about why this dataset is relevant.

The answer is quite simple, but also, not the one that you hear most often. Clinton’s emails are not relevant because they expose an alleged circle of corruption, or wrongdoing, as many conservatives claim. Her emails are also not irrelevant because they do not expose corruption or wrongdoing, as many liberals claim. These emails are relevant because Clinton was a person in charge of doing a security job, and anyone working on a security job is not supposed to communicate using an unsecured or unauthorized channel. This should be obvious, since each extra channel of communication increases the vulnerability of the system by increasing the probability that messages are intercepted. So the reason why Clinton’s emails are a big deal is because a person in charge of security should not be using an insecure channel, and those who argue from that perspective have a valid point.

Now, did Clinton actually reveal sensitive information? Whether she did or didn’t is a separate point from the one above, but also, one that we need to consider. Also, how are people supposed to learn about what was revealed in these messages? Should they blindly trust what the media tells them, or should they be allowed to evaluate this information themselves? And in a world where this information is already publicly available, but hard to digest, should we silence efforts that make this primary source of data available to citizens, or should we embrace them, as these efforts allow us to make our own conclusions by personally browsing the data?

For years I have created teams with unique capacities to make large datasets easy to understand. Earlier this year we released Data USA, the most comprehensive visualization of US public data. In 2013, we released a project visualizing the entire formal sector economy of Brazil (dataviva.info). My group also has been hosting a very popular tool to visualize international trade data (atlas.media.mit.edu) since 2011 (see chidalgo.com for a full list of projects). So in this environment, where I lead groups with the ability to make data easily digestible, and have a commitment to making data accessible so that people can explore it directly and make their own decisions, I decided that improving people’s ability to navigate a politically relevant dataset that was already publicly available was the right choice. My intuition was that, if you were going to spend 1, 5, or 10 minutes looking directly at these emails, you would get a slightly deeper understanding of what was in them if you used our interface rather than the ones that were presently available. I believe that these potential increases in depth, together with the creation of tools that allow people to explore primary sources of data directly, are a contribution. You may disagree with my choice, but I hope you at least understand it.

So what did we learn by making this dataset accessible?

We learned a few things about what Clinton’s emails said, about how the media works, and about how people interpreted the project.

We made clinton.media.mit.edu publicly available last Friday night (October 28, 2016). We launched with a single story, written by Alejandra Vargas from Univision.

My intuition was that the story was likely to get picked up by other news sources. After all, the tool facilitated people’s ability to read and understand the content of these emails, and the connections of the people involved in them. But I was wrong—it has been nearly a week since we released the project and no other major news source has picked up the story, despite having been viewed by more than 300,000 people in less than a week.

So how did we get so much traffic without any news coverage? The answer is social media. So far, the tool has been shared widely on Twitter, Facebook, and for a brief but intense time, on Reddit. Its spread has been fueled by different motives, and also, has been battled in different ways.

Many reporters shared the news on their personal accounts understanding that the tool represents a different form of data reporting, or data journalism: one where people are provided with a tool that facilitates their ability to explore a relevant dataset, instead of being provided with a story summarizing a reporter’s description of that dataset.

Another group of people that shared the news were interface designers, who understand that there is a need to improve the tabular interface of present day email clients, and that the inbox we presented in this project was an attractive new alternative.

But many people also shared our site claiming that this was evidence of Clinton’s corruption, and that the site supported Trump. More on that later.

But the spread of the site was not without its detractors. A few hours after we released the site I received a message from a friend telling me that what I had done was “a huge mistake” and that I should have waited to post this until “later in the year.”

A few days later, outside my lab, a member of a neighboring research group called me a “Trump supporter” and told me that I should have only made that site available if it also included Trump’s emails. I told him that I would be happy to include them, but I had no access to the data. In haste, this colleague began emailing me news articles, none of which provided access to the alleged public dataset of Trump emails.

Later, a friend of one of my students posted the news on Reddit, where it went viral. And I mean really viral. It became the top story of the Internetisbeautiful subreddit, and made it to Reddit’s front page. It collected more than 3,000 upvotes and 700 comments. But as the story peaked, a moderator single-handedly removed it in an authoritarian move, and justified this unilateral silencing of the post by adding a rule banning “sites that serve a political agenda or that otherwise induce drama.” Of course, the rule was added AFTER the post was removed

So when it comes to media, social or not, I learned that providing information directly to people so that they can inspect it and evaluate it, is a value that many people consider second to supporting their preferred electoral choice. The twist is that I don’t support Trump. In fact, I don’t support him at all. I think he is potentially a threat to global security, and also, a candidate that has shown repeatedly to be a dividing rather than unifying force. He has failed to respect contracts numerous times, defrauding contractors; and he certainly has shown little respect for people’s development by creating a fraudulent university. So I think he is ill prepared for most jobs, including a difficult one like that of being president.

I support Clinton in this election, and even though I don’t get to vote (As a green card holder I just pay taxes), I want her to win next Tuesday. I really do. But I understand that this is my own personal choice, a choice that I want to make sure is informed by my ability to evaluate information about the candidates directly, and by a media that is more transparent than the one we now have. Trust me, if I had Trump’s tax records, I would also think it is a good idea to make a tool that makes them more easily digestible. But my reason to make that tool, once again, would not come from my support for Clinton, or my opposition to Trump. It would come from my support for a society where people have direct access to relevant sources of information through well-designed data visualization tools.

So what did I learn about Clinton’s emails? One of the advantages of helping design a data visualization tool is that you get an intimate understanding of the data you are visualizing. After all, you have to explore the data and use the tool to make dozens of design decisions. In this case, the development cycle was particularly fast, but nevertheless I got to learn a few things about the data.

Of course, the whole point of making this tool is that you can use it to come up with your own interpretation of the data. That said, you might be curious about mine, so I’ll share it with you too.

What I saw on Clinton’s emails was not surprising to me. It involved a relatively small group of people talking about what language to use when communicating with other people. Also, it involved many unresponded-to emails. Many conversations revolved around what words to use or avoid, and what topics to focus on, or how to avoid some topics, when speaking in public or in meetings. This is not surprising to me because I’ve met many politicians in my life, including a few presidents and dozens of ministers and governors, so I know that what work means to many people in this line of work, on a daily basis, is strategizing what to say and being careful about how to say it. I am sure that if we had access to Trump’s emails we would see plenty of the same behavior.

So what I got from reading some of Clinton’s email is another piece of evidence confirming my intuition that political systems scale poorly. The most influential actors on them are spending a substantial fraction of their mental capacity thinking about how to communicate, and do not have the bandwidth needed to deal with many incoming messages (the unresponded-to emails). This is not surprising considering the large number of people they interact with (although this dataset is rather small. I send 8k emails a year and receive 30k. In this dataset Clinton is sending only 2K emails a year).

Our modern political world is one where a few need to interact with many, so they have no time for deep relationships — they physically cannot. So what we are left is with a world of first impressions and public opinion, where the choice of words matters enormously, and becomes central to the job. Yet, the chronic lack of time that comes from having a system where few people govern many, and that leads people to strategize every word, is not Clinton’s fault. It is just a bug that affects all modern political systems, which are ancient Greek democracies that were not designed to deal with hundreds of millions of people.

On another note, this exercise also helped me reaffirm my belief that the best way to learn about the media is not by reading the news, but by being news. I’ve had the fortune, and misfortune, to have been news many times. This time, I honestly thought that we had a piece of content that some media channels would be interested in and that it would get picked up easily. I have many reporter friends who are enthusiastic about new forms of data journalism, and that actually have been positive and encouraging this week. So I imagined that there was a good chance that a reporter would see the site, go to his or her editor, and say: “Hey, I have an interactive data visualization of all Clinton’s emails. Can I write a story on it?” and the editor would say: “Of course, make it quick.” I don’t know if these conversations actually happened, but given the large volume of traffic our project received I would be surprised if they didn’t. I learned that the outcome was not the one I intuited.

And this brings me to my final point, which is that while I support Clinton in this election, and I think Trump is a bad choice for president (a really bad one), I still think that we should work on the creation of tools that improve the ability of people to personalize scrutinize politically relevant information. I now understand that much of the U.S. media may not share that view with me, and that I think this is an important point of reflection. I hope the media takes some time to think about this on November 9 (or the week after).

Also, the large number of people who were unable to interpret our tool as anything but an effort to support or oppose a political candidate — and that was true for both liberals and conservatives — speaks to me about an ineffective public sphere. And that’s something I think we should all be concerned about. This polarization is not just a cliché. It is a crippling societal condition that is expressed in the inability of people to see any merit, or any point, in opposing views. That’s a dangerous, and chronic, institutional disease that is expressed also in the inability of people to criticize their own candidates, because they fear being confused with someone their peers will interpret as a supporter of the opposing candidate. If you cannot see any merit in the candidate you oppose, even in one or two of the many points that have been made, you may have it.

So that’s how this election has muddled the gears of democracy. When we cannot learn from those we oppose, or agree when they have a valid point, our learning stops. We keep on talking past each other. I know that this election has made learning from those we oppose particularly difficult, but the difficult tests are the ones that truly show us what we are really made of. These are the situations that push us to see past all of the things that we don’t like, or don’t agree on, so we can rescue a lesson. You may not agree with me, but I hope at least I gave you something to think about.

Security Guard Wounded In Garland ISIS Attack: “FBI RESPONSIBLE”
ByPAMELA GELLER on November 4, 2016

The FBI was willing to allow Americans to be murdered. This is confirmation of the suspicions in an article at Breitbart last August:

It’s hard to escape the conclusion that the Obama FBI wanted me and the other speakers at the event dead. Dutch freedom fighter Geert Wilders was the keynote speaker; he has been living with armed guards for years for supposedly “insulting Islam.” My colleague Robert Spencer has received numerous death threats from Muslims. Cartoon contest winner Bosch Fawstin drew Muhammad. Did Obama’s pro-Islam FBI want us all dead?

What other conclusion can be reached?

I’ve been trying to get my mind around this thing. What was Obama trying to do? Teach Americans a lesson? Enforce the edict that he enunciated in the wake of the Benghazi jihad slaughter, that “the future must not belong to those to slander the prophet of Islam”?

If people had died at our Garland event, the murders would have had a blood-chilling effect on the freedom of speech in America. That, in my view, appears to have been what the Obama administration wanted — and certainly that’s what the enemedia wanted in the wake of our event, as it gleefully and relentlessly blamed us for violating Sharia blasphemy laws and getting shot at.

“Security Guard Wounded In ISIS Attack: ‘FBI Responsible,’” by J. D. Miles, CBSDFW.com, November 3, 2016 (thanks to Gage):

GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) – The security guard who survived last year’s ISIS terrorist attack on the Culwell Center in Garland said not only are the terrorists responsible but so is the FBI for his injuries and the attack itself.

“I feel like they are not coming clean,” said Bruce Joiner about the FBI.

Joiner, 59, was the Garland school district security officer, shot in the leg by Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi. The two ISIS recruits drove to the Culwell Center and started firing before they were killed by Garland Police. Joiner managed to help them stop Simpson and Soofi before they ever got close to the ballroom with about 200 people at a contest for cartoons of the Muslim prophet Muhammad. Joiner was treated at a hospital and released hours after suffering a lower leg wound.

But Joiner said there’s more to what happened that day. He has now claimed that three officers told him an undercover FBI agent was following terrorists in another vehicle.

“I know that there was a third person. I know he had his life saved by claiming he was an FBI agent,” said Joiner.

Joiner said Garland officers had guns pointed at the man dressed in Middle Eastern attire and quickly taken away by federal agents.

“He was detained put in the back of a squad car,” said Joiner. “They put a bag over his head and took him away to another location.”

But both the FBI and Garland Police have refused to confirm or deny that account.

Still Joiner is using that information as the basis for a possible lawsuit, accusing the FBI of allowing the violent plot to go forward.

“I think they allowed it to go too far,” said Joiner.

“They are responsible… they have an intentional tort on their hands,” said Trent Roberts, Joiner’s attorney.

Roberts said the government has stonewalled him about its undercover activities before the attack.

The FBI arrest affidavit stated that an undercover agent was tracking the terrorists for weeks even sending a text urging them to quote “tear up Texas.”

FBI Director James Comey said Garland was sent a bulletin three hours before the attack warning that someone could be on their way.

Joiner believes and may soon try to prove in court that the FBI could have stopped it but chose not to.

“I don’t know of any undercover agent that can allow their fellow officers and citizens to be fired upon in the course of an investigation you have to stop that before that happens,” said Joiner.

Joiner said were it not for the quick thinking of Garland SWAT officers he believes the FBI would have blood on its hands….
