Hey Elaine,

In our teaching series though the Book of Revelation I've mentioned how people get confused when they study this book.

I think a lot of it has to do with how the book is usually taught.

A lot of teachers will jump right into the chapter-by-chapter study without much of an introduction or context.

I used to do that, too.

But now I think that approach only adds to the confusion - it's like dropping people off in a strange country at night with no map and expecting them to find their way home.

A MAP helps you figure out where you came from, where you are, and where you're going.

And you really need a MAP for navigating the twists and turns of the Book of Revelation.

So that's what we will cover in this week's class:

SURVEYING THE BOOK OF REVELATION
Thursday, June 22, 2017 - 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time (New York)

Hope to "see" you Thursday!

A Place for the Lord
by Chip Brogden
“Foxes have their dens, and birds have their nests;
but the Son of Man has no where to lay His head."
-Matthew 8:20

How may we prepare a place for the Lord Jesus? What is He searching for? Where is the place of His rest?

Many of us have traveled “outside the camp” in search of something more in tune with God’s own heart. I believe the most important calling we have is to prepare a place for the Lord Jesus, to give Him somewhere to lay His head. We will find that the purest, simplest expression of the Church is that which satisfies the Lord’s heart and gives Him a place....

Hey Elaine,

What if you were listening to someone speaking in an unknown language?

And what if 5 different people claimed to have the interpretation of that language, and none of them agreed with the other?

Would you be confused?

Would you wonder what the real message is?

Would you wonder why the 5 interpretations are so different?

I would!

Did you know there are at least 5 DIFFERENT WAYS to interpret the Book of Revelation?

No wonder everyone has a different opinion about what it means!

Last week we had a great kickoff to our series on the Book of Revelation...

But before we can dig into the chapter-by-chapter study...

We need to consider each of this 5 methods of interpretation.

- 1 is very, very popular;

- 1 used to be very popular but isn't anymore;

- 1 is trying to make a comeback;

- 1 is pretty rare;

- 1 is probably the closest to the truth but is rarely taught.

All 5 can't be correct, can they?

This Thursday @ 7:00 p.m. Eastern I'm going to share all 5 methods of interpretation with you and discuss the pros and cons of each.

Clear, simple, truth - and then you can judge for yourself which approach is best.

It's going to be fun!

Re: Meditation Chip Brogden

Post  Admin on Tue 06 Jun 2017, 8:54 pm

Hey Elaine,

Imagine a large, wooden, locked door.

Behind the door is a room full of treasure.

To get the treasure, all you need is the key to unlock the door.

The problem is: everyone has their own set of keys.

Everyone claims they have the "right" key.

And you try them all, but none of those keys work.

That's the way a lot of people approach the Book of Revelation.

I knew that once I announced this study I would attract people looking for me to confirm that their "keys" are right.

They expect me to talk about blood moons, red heifers, Third Temples, Israel, Planet X, alien invaders, the true identity of the Antichrist, and how everything they see on the news has a chapter and verse in the Book of Revelation.

That is the furthest thing from my mind.

For me to talk about all THAT means I would have to watch Christian television and follow all the Bible prophecy teachers around, lapping up whatever pabulum they regurgitate.

I don't take my cues from what everyone else says.

I don't subscribe to any prophecy lists or discussion groups.

So let me tell you my method of approaching the Book of Revelation - which is the same basic approach I have taken toward every other book of the Bible I have ever taught over the last 30 years...

1. I pray.

2. I study.

3. I write down what God shows me.

4. I share it with people as simply as possible. :-)

I'm sorry if that's not glamourous enough but I'm not trying to impress anyone or create a lot of hype or hysteria.

HOWEVER, I will say this...

What I will share in this series is new - some elements I have not heard anyone else talk about, including me.

At least, out of all the things I have heard about Revelation (back in the day, when I used to listen to all those preachers on television), I haven't heard ANYONE talking about the things I'm going to talk about.

Things so important that I have already made notes about it - so that, just in case I get hit by the proverbial bus tomorrow, someone can publish those notes.

It's that important.

But, assuming the Lord allows such things to be disclosed, I envision a series of classes over several months, as this is not going to be a sprint but a marathon.

Simple, but very, very thorough in the things that MATTER - without getting lost in the minutia of popular opinions that don't.

Well, the whole thing kicks off online this Thursday, June 8, at 7:00 p.m. Eastern with the introduction, where I will reveal THE MASTER KEY to the Book of Revelation.

This is THE KEY that turns the lock and opens the door to the valuable treasure and spiritual wealth contained within this book.

So, this is the introduction... and if you miss THE KEY you'll be outside that locked door, banging your head against it, wondering why the Book of Revelation is "so hard to understand."

Join us... already we have a few hundred people registered for this, so if you haven't registered yet, please do so now (it's free).

Go here to save your spot and/or get on the replay list:

Be of Good Cheer!
by Chip Brogden
We live in a stressful world. All of us have difficulties, problems, challenges, and needs.

In spite of this, I have seen people overcome incredible odds and rise up over seemingly insurmountable challenges: the death of a loved one, or the loss of a business, or the failure of a marriage, or a decline in their health. They somehow get through it, pick up the pieces, and inspire others with their joy and determination.

I have seen other people have a complete breakdown over the very same things.

So I have come to realize that life is only 10% what happens to you and 90% how you choose to respond to what happens.  One man’s circumstances cause him to bless God, while another man’s identical circumstances cause him to curse God.  One man loses his job and goes into depression; another man loses his job and starts his own business. Stress affects different people in different ways.  But why is this?

HOW TO GO FROM
FRUSTRATION TO FAITH
LISTEN NOW
Don't want to listen? Read the transcript...
Hello Elaine,

Why doesn’t God do something? Why doesn’t God heal me? Why didn’t God prevent this from happening? How long must I wait? How long before the answer comes?

These are a sampling of complaints from the frustrated soul, sometimes breathed out in prayer to God, often muttered under our breath to no one in particular, and frequently rehearsed over and over again in our mind. When we look at our environment, we are rewarded with Frustration.

But even a negative emotion like frustration can be used for a holy purpose. It is a journey all of us must take that brings us from Frustration to Faith...

The Gift of Christ
by Chip Brogden
I am afraid that we do not truly appreciate the fact that God has never given us things, but has summed up everything into Christ, having poured Himself into His Son.

Having the Son, possessing the Son, being one with the Son, we have and possess everything God is. It never has been a question of seeking ten, one hundred, or one thousand different things from God. If we do not know from our experience, we should at least know from the Scriptures, that Christ is the Gift of God. Then our experience will come into line with God’s Thought.

If you are used to seeking spiritual “things” (love, joy, peace, anointing, power, blessing, etc.) then this message is particularly for you, but we all stand to benefit from being reminded constantly that Christ is God’s One Gift.

THE WRATH TO COME
LISTEN NOW
Don't want to listen? Read the transcript...
Hello Elaine,

As we draw near to the second coming of Christ there is a prophetic urgency that brings both the same promise and the same meaning that John the Baptist did when he says that the axe is laid to the root of the tree. He is coming to thoroughly purge His threshing floor. He’s going to separate wheat from chaff.

Also, in Malachi it talks about how, “He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them as gold and silver are refined.” He’s going to separate the dross from the pure. Separate sheep from goats, foolish from wise.

Well, it happened once; and I believe it’s going to happen again, and it is happening, as God raises up the same spirit and power of Elijah here in these last days: to warn God’s people to come out of her so that they don’t suffer the same judgment.

My Mother and My Brothers
by Chip Brogden
The question that Jesus asked bears repeating today: Who is my brother? Who is my sister? Who is my mother?

Certainly not everyone who says, “Lord! Lord!” will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. In similar manner, not everyone who says, “Brother! Brother!” is really a brother.

Yet learning how to be a good brother or a good sister is the first thing Jesus wants to teach us. When we are born into this Family that is all we are – a brother or a sister. Every apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, pastoral, or teaching ministry must have, as its foundation, the spiritual depth and maturity of knowing how to “just” be a brother or sister. We skip this necessary preparation at our own peril, and the Family of God suffers as a result...

THE PROPHETIC SIGNIFICANCE
???????OF THE WILDERNESS
LISTEN NOW

Hello Elaine,

When you look to the Word of God – not to a man, not to a movement, but to the Word of God – you actually see that the condition of the church in the last days has already been prophesied. We know exactly what to expect. We know exactly what to look for.
Not only has it been prophesied, but we actually have a spiritual parallel in the nation of Israel. We’ve been talking about John the Baptist, and how he prepared a place for the Lord in the wilderness, outside the camp.
The whole story of John the Baptist reveals not only the spiritual importance, but also the prophetic significance, of the wilderness experience; and it teaches lessons you and I need to know as we also endeavor to follow Jesus outside the camp.

Put Ye On the Lord Jesus
by Chip Brogden
What is the Christian Life? It is leaving our ground altogether and coming onto the ground of Christ. It is deeper than a changed life – it is an exchanged life.

Over time we can accomplish a change, but we can do nothing to exchange our life for His Life. This, from start to finish, is God’s work, and it is a work of grace. What, after all, is Righteousness? What is true Holiness? Christ is not righteous because He does righteous things; He does righteous things because He is Righteousness. Christ is not holy because He does holy things; He does holy things because He is Holiness. His “doing” flows out of His “being” – and OUR “doing” flows out of His “being” as well...

Hello Elaine,

THERE IS A PRICE TO BE PAID FOR REVELATION.

John the Baptist had a profound revelation of Christ, and with that revelation came the realization that the religious system of Judaism could not be reformed or revived, but would have to be repudiated.

Have you reached the same conclusion about Churchianity, or are you still playing tiddlywinks?

Trust in My Life
by Chip Brogden
Trying to imitate Christ is the path of frustration and despair. Let me say undeniably that you will never meet a Man like Jesus. Try for a million years and you can never duplicate His personality!

Your best attempt to “be more like Jesus” is as feeble as trying to grow a plant out of a concrete rock. Only a proud, ignorant person thinks they can even come close to being like Jesus.

No, the answer is, “It is no longer I that liveth, but Christ that liveth in me, and the life that I live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God.” I live, yet not I but Christ. It is not Jesus reproduced in me, it is Jesus instead of me. It is not my life, my work, my effort at holiness. It is Christ my Wisdom, Righteousness, Sanctification, and Redemption.

As I learn to trust His Life for the small things, I am finding the larger things to be less large...

LISTEN NOW
Don't want to listen? Read the transcript...
Hello Elaine,

During the "four hundred silent years" before Jesus, in the absence of spiritual leadership and in the absence of a prophetic voice to keep them faithful to God's purpose, the Jews created a religious system so dead that they did not even recognize the Messiah when He arrived. Christians have spent five times as long to build their own religious system; in the process we have become just as blind to Jesus as the Jews were.

The Kingdom, The Power
and The Glory

This three-fold benediction concludes what is commonly referred to as the Lord’s Prayer. It is a fitting conclusion to what we call the Prayer of the Kingdom, or the Prayer of the Overcomer.

This confession is the summation of all that precedes it, the end result of what we are asking: “FOR…” Why do we bless the Name of the Father? Why do we pray for the Will and the Kingdom to be accomplished? Why do we pray for daily bread and forgiveness of sins? Why do we pray to be kept from evil? “FOR…” We ask for all these things BECAUSE the Kingdom is Yours, the Power is Yours, and the Glory is Yours. All the others are requests, but these three are declarations. “Thine IS the Kingdom… Thine IS the Power… Thine IS the Glory.” That is the conclusion that we come to, and it is the reason that we pray in this way.

The Testimony of Jesus is committed to the Church, and the matter of His Kingdom, His Power, and His Glory is an intrinsic part of that Testimony. The Testimony answers to everything which man or the devil may challenge us with. So let us look at each one respectively...

NEW EPISODE:
NO FELLOWSHIP?
Here's 7 Ways to Deal With It
LISTEN NOW
Don't want to listen? Read the transcript...
Hello Elaine,

Can we trust God to bring the right people into our life?

Hopefully we will learn sooner, rather than later, than whenever we go out and try to “make something happen” we tend to make a mess of things. Our hunger and thirst for fellowship opens us up to the possibility of entering into relationships with people who will do us more harm than good.

Lonely people are easy prey for wolves in sheep’s clothing.

If we look to the Lord to meet all our needs – including our need for social interaction and fellowship – then He will certainly bring the right people into our life, at the right time, and for the right reason.

Resurrected With Christ
by Chip Brogden
Scripture bears witness to a most amazing spiritual truth: that disciples of Jesus are the crucified, dead, buried, resurrected, ascended, and seated Branches of a crucified, dead, buried, resurrected, ascended, and seated Vine.

How is this possible? Trace it as far back as you can, beginning with where you are “now.”
You are seated together with Christ because you ascended together with Christ.

You ascended together with Christ because you were resurrected and made alive together with Christ.

You were resurrected and made alive together with Christ because you were buried together with Christ.

You were buried together with Christ because you died together with Christ.

You died together with Christ because you were crucified together with Christ.
I'm not making these statements up - they are all recorded in Scripture! Without a doubt, these are some of the greatest, most mysterious truths in the universe!

NEW EPISODE:
Simple Gatherings
LISTEN NOW
Hello Elaine,

Jesus said that He is in the midst of two or three who are gathered in His Name. For all the talk about “gathering together” it really isn’t that difficult, if you just eliminate from your mind the old institutional obsession with large numbers.

Jesus is not so interested in numbers. He is very non-specific – He says, two or three. Could be as little as two. Could be as many as three. Just two or three. Very small. Very insignificant in terms of what we have come to expect a “gathering” is supposed to look like. Jesus says He is in the midst of as few as two or three who are gathered together in His Name.

I just think that is very liberating. Very freeing, that we do not have to gather dozens or hundreds or thousands of people together and put them in a box. You can call the box a church or a house church or a group or a conference or a meeting or a gathering, but whatever you call it, that “box” often gets in the way of the simplicity of Christ...

OUTSIDE THE CAMP
NEW EPISODE:
Forsaking the Assembly, Part 2
LISTEN NOW

Hello Elaine,

We’re looking more closely at Hebrews 10:25, to answer the question: If you stop going to church, have you really forsaken the assembling of yourselves together?

Well, we began to answer that last week, and when we left off, we had turned from Hebrews 10:25 and gone over to I Corinthians 11:17, where it says, “Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that you come together not for the better, but for the worse.” And I think the describes most of the meetings and services and gatherings taking place today – they come together not for the better, but for the worse. Perhaps because they have already lost the simplicity of Christ, and they have turned the Christian life into a series of religious meetings and services – and I don’t just mean Organized Religion, I mean house churches and home groups as well, because they can be just as religious and dead as the denominational systems they claim to have come out of.

But what made their gathering together so much for the worse that Paul said I can’t even praise you for gathering together? What were they doing wrong?

Hating for Jesus
by Chip Brogden
From our earliest days as young Christians our special emphasis is on love. We are taught to love God with all our heart, love our neighbor, and love our enemy.

We feel convicted if we do not love someone the way we think we should, and we ask God to give us a love for that brother or sister. How wonderful when the Lord responds to our prayer and we are able to love one another with a holy love.

Yet there is another aspect of love that is often overlooked, and that is hatred. This is a holy hatred. It goes right along with holy love. Yet we do not hear a lot about this holy hatred. We are not talking about the kind of hate that causes people to fight and kill one another. We hear the word “hate” and we think of gossip, slander, strife, murder, war, “hate crimes” against individuals and groups, jihads and crusades. There is nothing holy about that, that is sin. But what we have in mind here is a holy hatred that is the result of a holy love.

I would like to suggest that the reason we are not familiar with holy hatred, the good hatred, is because our love is not strong enough. A strong love produces a strong hatred; a holy love produces a holy hatred. For example, in Psalm 119, David rejoices in the truth of the Law of the Lord. Because he has learned to love the truth, he has also learned to hate every false way. You cannot love the truth and love error at the same time. But the more you love the truth, the more you will hate the false. Do you see this? That is one example of holy hatred.

NEW EPISODE:
Forsaking the Assembly, Part 1
LISTEN NOW

Hello Elaine,

Now if you’ve heard this once in church then you’ve heard it a thousand times. So I don’t wonder why I get this objection every week, when people hear me talking about God calling people to come out of church. What? How can that be? And they hit the panic button, just like they’ve been programmed, and they’ll write and say, “Yeah, but what about Hebrews 10:25?” And they’ll even quote it for me as if I’ve never even read it before! As if I didn’t even know that was in the Bible, right? As if they expect me to say, “Wow! I never saw that before! Well, that changes everything!” Ha!

The truth is, I know all about Hebrews 10:25, and I’ve taught from that passage many times over the years, from the perspective of the pastor trying to scare his members into coming to church, as well as from the perspective of someone following Jesus outside the camp with no church agenda, a little more wisdom, and a lot more maturity, so I can rightly divide the Word of God and not let my “yeah, but” get in the way of what the Holy Spirit wants to say.

What does Hebrews 10:25 mean, in context? Well, as I say, that question has been asked and answered so many times, so let’s dig into it by listening in on one of those teachings where we get into Scripture and talk about it. Have you forsaken the assembling of yourselves together when you stop going to church? Let’s see what the Word of God has to say….
